Mia turned around and froze when she saw me. "L-Luke, I-"
"What? You never really broke up with him, did you?"
She frowned and shook her head. "N-no, Luke. I did, I swear-"
"Save it. I really don't care anymore." I sighed.
"Luke, I promise I broke up with him!"
"You were just using me, weren't you?"
"No! Why would you think that?" Her eyes welled with tears.
"Forget it. I actually liked you, you know." I shook my head.
"What?"
"You heard me. I really liked you, Mia. More than a friend. Why do you think I kissed you?" I looked down. "But you let me believe you liked me too. Guess I was wrong."
Mia frowned. "I didn't know you liked me-"
"And if you did, you would hurt me even more?" I raised my eyebrows.
She shook her head. "Calum-"
"What? What about your shitty boyfriend?" I snapped.
Mia bit her lip. "He's a much better person than you'll ever be." She pushed past me and walked back into the house.
