Chapter 29: Getting ready!

March 8th, 2016 9:45 am

Miami, Florida

Kara and Allys hotel room.

"Get up! Ally you're getting married today!" I heard Kara say as she shook me awake. I groaned loudly. "Are you not excited!" Meg asked. "I am excited I just need coffee before I start jumping up and down." I said while getting up.

"No coffee! It'll get you all shaky." Kara said while getting some tea. "If there's no coffee I'm going back to sleep." I said while laying back down on the bed. Kara sighed while Ashley and Meg laughed. "Fine I'll make you coffee and you go shower." she said.

I smiled and said "Thanks Kar!" "Shampoo twice and condition once!" Meg and Ashley said to me. "Why?" I asked as Kara handed me a mug. They looked at each other and said "I don't know just do it!" "Fine I'm going." I said while walking to the bathroom.

I showered and conditioned and shampooed once. I don't give a fuck. I walked back out of the bathroom wearing a white silk robe with "bride" on the back in pink thread.

Kara was on the phone. "Who's she calling?" I asked. "Kevin. She's making sure everythings going as planned over there." Ashley said. I grabbed my phone.

10:15 am "I'm gonna text Ben." I said. "NO! NO! YOU CAN'T." The three of them said, Kara still on the phone. I ran to the bathroom, laughing. I called Ben and after a couple rings he answered.

"Hey! I thought we weren't allowed to talk to each other until the wedding." he said. "I know, I just coudn't wait." I said, my back facing the door. Kara, Meg, and Ashley were ounding on the door. "GET OUT OF THERE!"

"What's that noise?" he asked. "Kara, Meg, and Ashley. I locked myself in the bathroom so I could talk to you." I said. He laughed and said "Get back out there. I'll see you in three hours." "Okay bye."

"I love you." he said. "I love you too b." I hung u
p and walked out of the bathroom.

A huge smile went over my face. This was it, I was about to get married to the love of my life. "Why did you call him!" They said. "Because I wanted too and I don't believe in superstions." I said. "Fine go sit on the chair so I can do your hair." Meg said.

I sat on the chair like Meghan said and waited. As she was doing my hair I went on my email. I saw a picture and I got an idea. "Why are you smiling so hard?" Kara asked, huge smile on her face. "I got an idea for something." I said while opening the notes app on my phone.

"Okay you're done!" Meg said. I looked at myself in the mirror. "Meg it's perfect!" I said, smiling really hard. "What no tears?" she said. "She doesn't cry much. She didn't cry when Ben proposed!" Kara said.

"I'm a very emotionless person I get it. Can we just do my makeup now." I whined. "No aren't you and Ben doing that whole writing a note to each other before the wedding thing instead of vows?" Kara said. "ooh right! I need a pen and paper." I said while searching around the room for the pretty stationary I had bought just for today.

Ashley found it, "Here!" she said while giving it to me. "Thank you!" I said while opening it up. I started writing down a letter for him.

-ten minutes later-

"We got your note over to Ben. And now here's the one he wrote for you." Ashley said while handing me a slip of paper. I opened it up.

"Hello there my soon to be wife! I can't believe today is the day. It feels like it's been such a long time coming yet but it also feels like we were just awkwardly meeting at the Papermill Playhouse. So much has happened changed since then, but the one thing that hasn't changed is that I want to spend my life with you. I knew the first time we met that I wanted to marry you and I can't believe that it's finally happening. Everything I used to imagine for my future wife pales in comparison to the woman reading this note right now. I am blessed beyond belief and I am so thankful you've chosen me to be your husband, you make me a better man. You inspire me everyday and you're the most beautiful woman I've ever met. I love you Al.
Here's to the rest of our lives... Now let's go say 'I do'."

I smiled brightly at his letter. Tears? Never heard of her. "How are you stil not crying yet!" Meg said. "I don't know!" I said with a giggle. Kara smiled at me and said "You ready to get married Ally?"

"Super ready."

Bens pov

His hotel room.

"Okay we got your note from Ally. You ready?" Kevin said. "Very" I responded. Corey handed me the note from Ally. I wrote her a not but it probably isn't going to be as good as hers. I mean she's a proffesional writer how can I compete!

I opened it up and smiled.

'To my sweet boy. Everyone says love is a choice, but goodness gracious you've made choosing so easy. I simply adore the man you are and in 40 years I guarantee you I'll love you even more. You're a provider, a protector, and a piecemaker. In all honsesty I'm pretty sure I fell in love with you more after our first fight. Ben you're so intentional and you go above and beyond for me and those around you. You know how to love me the way I need to be loved and I promise to always share my whole heart with you. I promise to love, and respect, and adore you, but you really make these promises so easy to do. I'm so thankful god has placed us in one anothers lives. I'm so fucking excited for our future. Ben I can't wait to love and persue you until death do us part. Thanks for just being you. You make life so fun and I can not wait to belt "Ballerina" in the car together for the rest of our lives- I mean it's a great song. I am beyond excited for our future together as Mr and Mrs Fankhauser.

My eyes watered as I closed the note. I'm so glad we did this instead of vows it made our wedding day so much more special.

"You ready to get married to my sister in law?" Kevin asked. I laughed. "I'm super ready."

Have I made anyone cry yet? If so I am not sorry. If you haven't I didn't either so...
