Allison is Kara Lindsays younger sister and best friend. She meets a tall dark haired man with gorgeous green eyes. They start off as friends but it quickly escalates into something much more than just friends.

"I hate you." I said as I picked up. "Carolynn was up all night-" "I'm pregnant!" Kara blurted. "What?! Oh my god! Kara! Oh my gosh, congratulations!" I said, getting up. Ben shot up, "What?" he asked. "Kara's pregnant! She just called to tell us." I said. "Congratulations!" he said. "Ah! Thank you guys!" she said. "How far along are you? Any morning sickness yet?" I asked. "Um about two weeks, we just found out like yesterday. Ah, I'm so excited!" she said. "Oh my gosh! I'm so happy for you, Kara!" I said. "Carolynn's going to be so excited about having a cousin!" Ben said. Kara giggled. "We have an appointment in like twenty minutes so gotta go." she said. "Okay. Love you, bye!" I said, before hanging up.
I smiled at Ben. Carolynn started crying. I sighed, "I'll get her." I said. "I'll make coffee." Ben said. I pecked his lips, "Good morning." I said. He smiled, "Good morning." I got out of bed and walked to Carolynns room. "Good morning princess! You want some breakfast?" I said while picking her up. She was still crying. "Oh, what's wrong Care?" I said.
"Hey, what's up?" Ben asked. "She's teething." I said. "Oh, that sucks." Ben said. "Yeah, can you take her for a sec I'm going to get some ice for her teeth." I said. Ben took her, "Yeah." he said. I got some ice from the fridge and put them in a little baggy for Carolynns teeth. "Here princess." I said, handing her the baggy.
She put the bag in her mouth and started biting down on it. She stopped crying. Ben kissed Carolynns head. "We make very cute kids." I said. "Yes we do." Ben said, kissing Carolynns cheeks. "Ooh I almost forgot. I'm almost done writing my book." I said. "Wait really?" he asked. "Yup I haven't sent it in to any publishers yet but it's almost done!" I said. Ben kissed me, "I love you," he said. I giggled, "I love you too."
(Yes I will be writing Allys book but after I finish this one and start the sequel.)
August 28th, 2019 Carolynns first birthday! The house Allys Pov 9:25 AM
"I can't believe our little girl's already one years old!" I said, looking down at Carolynn sleeping in her crib. Ben chuckled, "Our little princess is already one." he said. "How long are we going to sit her staring at her?" I asked. "We should probably wake her up now." Ben said. I smiled, "Okay," I said while picking Carolynn up. "Good morning princess!" Ben said. "Happy birthday Care-bear!" I said, kissing her cheek. She giggled, "Mama." she said. "What if we got a dog?" Ben whispered. "Uh I think that's something we should think about and by that I mean yes." I said. Ben laughed, "It can be a sorta late birthday gift for Care." he said. I smiled, "You want a puppy, princess?" I said.
She giggled, "Yeah!" she said. "Then it's settled puppy number #2- technically." Ben said. I laughed, "Hey what if we go down to that old coffee shop for breakfast?" I asked. "That'd be fun! Yeah we should do that." Ben said. "They got me my first by-line at the times." I said. "Let's get dressed then we can go." Ben said, kissing my temple.
I got Carolynn changed into a Queen shirt and some white shorts. Then I got changed into a blue casual dress. Ben was wearing a blue shirt and some black jeans. "We ready?" Ben asked. "Yup." I said. Ben smiled, "I love her shirt." he said. "Well she looks cute in anything so it doesn't really matter." I said. "True." Ben said.

Ben, Carolynn, and I walked in the coffee shop. "It seems so different." I whispered to Ben. "Well it has been a long time. Almost five years." he whispered. "Oh gosh, has it been that long?" I said as we sat down at a table.
"Ally? Is that you?" I heard someone say. I turned, "Hi." I said. She hugged me, "How have you been? We haven't seen you in so long!" she said.
"Things have been great! I graduated, got a job at the New York Times, uh, Ben and I got married-" "You guys got married?! Congratulations!" Madge said. I smiled, "Thank you! I wrote a book- it's not quite finished yet then... we lost our son Samuel, but then a couple months later we had our daughter Carolynn. Today's her first birthday." I said, pointing to Ben and Carolynn at the table. "Oh, she's gorgeous!" she said. "She's the best thing that I've ever done." I whispered.
(I brought the coffee shop back!! For just this chapter but still) -------------------
4:00 PM
"You ready to see Elliot and baby Clara?" I said, standing in the bathroom with her. We're currently potty training Carolynn. "Yeah!" she said excitedly. "Okay let's wash our hands then they can come." I said. I picked her up over the sink so she could reach.
Ben was downstairs cleaning for our guests. "You want up?" I asked Carolynn. She had completely mastered walking but the stairs are still a little too much for her. "Yes pwease." she said. "Okay princess." I said picking her up. "Hey babe." I said walking into the living room with Care on my hip. "Hey!" Ben said before kissing me quickly. "Kara, Kevin, Jeremy, Ashley, Clara, Scott, Andrew, Tommy, Corey, Meghan, and Elliot are coming in a bit then we just hang out after that."
The doorbell rang. "I'll get the door can you get the present?" I said. "Uh yeah just let me put Care-bear in her high chair." he said. Carolynn is at a stage where all she wants to do is run around so if we don't put her in her chair she'd just run around.
I walked over to the door. "Hey!" Ashley said while stepping in. Jeremy followed, holding Claras car seat. I hugged Ash quickly. "Hey guys!" I said. "I can't belive Carolynn's already one! It feels like just yesterday we were visiting you in the hospital." Ash said.
"It feels like just yesterday Newsies was opening on broadway." Jeremy said. "Those were good times. Now most of us are married and some of us have kiddos." Ben said, walking over with Carolynn on his hip. "I miss Newsies." I said. "Don't we all." -------
