I'm Prefect And Quidditch Captain

A/n: I've been re-watching some films and a few days ago I watched Emo the Musical and had to add this song, especially since this film speaks to my people.

It's now a few days until we go back to Hogwarts and I'm sitting in the kitchen, it's around 8.30am so the rest of the kids should be up soon. Suddenly an Owl comes in with a few letters, gathering up the letters I look at the one on top and I decide to wait for the others to wake up. Finally after an hour down they all come and I wait until after breakfast to give them their letters at which point Tonks, Dad and Professor Lupin are all here. I open my letter and I find two badges these one saying Prefect and the other Captain. As I look down upon the badges and my letter, Dad asks "Are you Prefect then?" and I smile saying "Prefect... and Quidditch Captain". They all look up surprised since rarely anyone is Quidditch Captain in their fifth year though there was Oliver and Flint. As the others open their letters Hermione jumps up and does a weird sort of dance, causing Fred to do the exact same thing before they kiss each on the lips as I cover my eyes, the others laugh, and George and Aphrodite wolf whistle. Ron then says "So, you also got Prefect?" and Hermione says astounded "Also? You got Prefect as well" and Ron nods while Mrs Weasley goes crazy saying about a party for us. I turn to Isobel and question "Izzy are you Quidditch Captain?" but she just looks angry and storms off, well, I guess she isn't Captain. To bad but at least I won't have to be Captains against my best friend. Honestly I don't feel how I thought I would, I expected to be with Percy and everyone else, Isobel would be the Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain. I would then win the Quidditch Cup and the House Cup then when I get back for the summer I would confess my feelings to Percy. It would be amazing. "Hey earth to Lyn" Tonks says and I look up, "Molly wants to know what cup cakes you want at the Dinner Party tonight to celebrate you, Ron and Hermione" Remus continues, I say "Mrs Weasley you don't have to" but she just says "Roselyn your Prefect and Quidditch Captain, you deserve it and you're going to be fifteen in a few days", I nod then say "Well I'm quite fond of vanilla cup cakes" and Mrs Weasley nods going to the others to ask them. After a bit I go upstairs with Siri and begin writing,
Dear Percy Ignitus Weasley,
Today I got my letter and guess what I'm now Prefect... and The Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain, as I mentioned in past letters, though I only got my letter today I've been working on Quidditch plays and have even practiced being Prefect in the halls, giving detention, warnings and taking points. I know you'll never read this but I hope you're proud. Now, I also have a question to ask you, see O.W.Ls are this year and I've been stressing for a while now I was wondering, Did you always want to work at the Ministry of Magic? You see when I was a kid I first thought about working in the Department for Magical Law Enforcement when Angela was too ill to go play, she had chicken pox a muggle disease that is contagious, I was six at the time and not wanting to go back to Malfoy Manor I went to the Library and ended up organising the entire library using the Dewey Decimal System and made a list of 39 Laws for the library. Then I went to the Ministry three years later and organised Mr Fudge's office which to me was the most fun I ever got. Hope you are doing well and I miss you a lot.

After a bit I hear a knock on my door so I go and see dad. He says after dragging me to the dining room "I found this while looking through some old box's, it's the Original Order of the Phoenix", I look down and he continues pointing to each as he went on "There's James and Lily at the front with Harry, then Remus at the back in between Fabian and Gideon Prewett - it took five death eaters to take them down - and Dorcas Meadowes she went missing about a month later. Doe and Moony were dating back then, next Pettigrew, there's Hagrid behind us all and Mad-Eye and Dumbledore. Alice and Frank Longbottom both suffered a fate worse than death, Agusta Longbottom with Neville a bit down from them. And there is Marls and I, I'm holding you since she was paranoid about her dropping you", guessing by my the small smile on my face Dad says "You can keep it if you want". I look up nodding madly he hands me the picture, after a bit I go up to my room and begin writing a song called "The Light Behind Your Eyes"   which I'm basing on the Original Order of the Phoenix.

When I'm finished I go down for dinner and the party, once there Isobel comes over to me and says "Hey Lyn. I'm sorry about earlier, I was just jealous that you got prefect and Quidditch Captain while I didn't get either" and I smile slightly saying "It's fine Izzy, I'd have been jealous to" but Isobel just laughs loudly saying "Come on, there's no universe were you wouldn't be either". As I walk upstairs I see Mrs Weasley and Harry in the drawing room with Ron dead at her feet, I walk in and she goes "Riddikulus! Riddikulus! Riddikulus! Riddikulus! Riddikulus!", and the corpse goes from Ron to the twins to Percy to Harry and then me. It seems everyone heard her cries and came up to see me, Mrs Weasley, Harry and my corpse, they pull Harry and Mrs Weasley back but when they attempt to pull me away, the Boggart goes towards me and I see a older version of myself and as I look to my left forearm I see the dark mark, whispering "It's changed" and dad leads me away after I stand in one place frozen in time. Finally I go to my room shaken and for the first time in years I don't sing my lullaby but instead a different one, one I remember fondly even after years of its absence.
