You skipped merrily along your way to work. The comic shop was opening in a few minutes, and you needed to restock some shelves.
You finally teached the store and immediately started stocking the shelves. You picked up a comic that reminded you of the fun loving turtle you met.
I wonder when I can see him again? You thought to yourself as you silently stacked the comics. You heard the bell ring and saw the first customer. He was wearing an orange hoodie. His blue eyes reminded you of Mikey. His tanned face had a light dusting of freckles that complimented his complexion, but you couldn't stop thinking about Mikey.
"Excuse me Miss? I need some help. I can't find (c/b)." The teen said in a surfer accent. Just like Mikey. You blink your (e/c) eyes.
"Sorry. They should be on the shelf by the Batman comics. If not, then they're by the Marvel section." You reply, pointing to the section of newly arranged comics. He grins and shows his pearly whites.
"Thanks."
"Anytime. Just ring the bell if you need me." You instruct him. He nods and searches for it. You walk to the closet and start cleaning the countertop, letting your thoughts wander back to the orange masked turtle. You wipe down the shiny wooden counter.
A few minutes later, the guy comes back, victorious, and hands you the comic to check out.
"Did you find everything alright?" You ask, ringing the book.
"Yes, thanks to you cutie." He says, winking. You internally cringe, not wanting the flirtatious behavior of the customer. You finish the process and hand him the recipt. He gives you a piece of paper, smiling.
"Have a good day!" You cheerfully say, and watch him stroll out of the store. Once he leaves, you shudder in disgust and unfold the paper.
Call me. ;) XXX-XXX-XXXX
You wrinkle your nose in disgust and throw the paper away. Leaning agaisnt the register, your mind drifts back to the turtle.
