When we got into town, I ended up having to direct Finn to the bar, but he didn't mind. Jay was pouting about the fact that we'd had to turn the music. As Finn was parking in the little lot behind the bar, I looked up at Jay and couldn't help my little smile. He looked so... carefree, so relaxed. I'd never seen him like this before and it really was beautiful.

"Kay, why d'you keep staring at me tonight?" he asked curiously, interrupting my train of thought.

"Oh, um," I started with a blush, "no reason."

He didn't look convinced but he didn't push the subject any further, which I appreciated. I knew I'd have to explain everything to Ollie, and I wasn't sure how excited I was about that. I knew he'd do his best to understand whatever I told him which seemed to make things a lot easier already. I knew that Ollie and I could easily become close friends, and that thought warmed my heart more than I'd expected.

"Stay there," Jay said as he jumped up out of the car.

I frowned slightly, turning to watch him walk quickly around the back of the car. The muscles in his long bare legs rippled slightly every time he put his foot down and I couldn't help myself when I looked over him, drinking in the sight of him. He was just so damn hot, it was unfair.

When he reached my side, he opened my door and held his hand out to me. I blushed and undid the seatbelt, taking hold of his hand and allowing him to help me up out of the car.

"Thank you," I murmured quietly, peeking up at him through my lashes.

His wide grin was dazzling in the floodlights. My heart skipped a beat as I looked up at him.

"Come on!" he exclaimed excitedly, turning to drag me towards the entrance of the bar, ignoring Ollie and Finn talking quietly behind us.

I turned my head to look over my shoulder to make sure they were okay. Ollie was looking worried while holding one of Finn's hands and cupping his cheek. There was hardly any distance between them. Occasionally, Finn would nod and after a few moments of just looking at each other, they shared a soft, gentle kiss. I hoped everything was okay.

"Kaidan! Come on," Jay whined ahead of me, sounding like a little child.

I smiled slightly and walked quicker until I was beside him.

"Is everything okay with Ollie and Finn?" I asked quietly as we entered.

"Hm? Oh, I think so. I think Ollie just wants to fire Angela, the PA, but Finn wants to give her a second chance. It's ridiculous; they're relationship won't survive long if he doesn't do the right thing for himself, and the business, and let her go," he said, all the whininess from his voice gone.

"Oh..." I said softly, sitting beside Jay when he pulled me over to an empty table. The stage on the far side of the bar was empty for the time being, but the night was young and there was a lot of drinking to be done by everyone around.

"Do you want a drink?" Jay asked, standing and shifting to pull his wallet from his pocket.

"Ha!" I exclaimed suddenly, managing to slip a note into the waistband of his shorts.

He looked confused for a moment before he laughed. "God, Kaidan, you're making me feel like a stripper."

I giggled slightly and pulled him down to kiss me, running my fingertips through his hair.

"Whore," I muttered as I pulled back.

"Only for you, baby," he chuckled, kissing the corner of my mouth before going over to the bar to get us some drinks.
