She walked out of the room without telling anyone, without even being considerate to enlighten any of us that she was leaving to go on her break.

This "husband" being dead really got her messed up—she was completely a diverse person at work.

  I speculated what could've changed her mood; I wondered what could've uplifted her.

I reached into my pocket, grabbing my phone—quickly finding Michael's number.

  I was in need for an answer; I needed to ask Michael a thoughtful question.
