Y/N's POV
I stared at the picture of Justin the day before he left for the army. Today David,our five year old son, and I are attending a picnic for families just like ours, with family members or friends in the army/navy/marines.
I kissed the picture and got David so we can go to the park where the picnic will be held.
I buckled him up in the back and closed the door. I went to the other side of the car and got in.
As we arrived to park ahead of time I took David to the playground they had. He started playing with the other kids as I sat on one of the benches.
"Is this seat taken?" Someone asked.
"No." I said with a little smile as David started to run around with the kids.
"Hi, I'm Justin." he said extending his hand.
"Hello, I'm Y/N." I shook his hand when I saw the familiar tattoos. I look up to so Justin staring at me with the biggest smile.
"J-Justin? What are you doing here?" I asked completely shocked he was supposed to be in Afghanistan.
"I came to see you guys." He said with a smile as we got off the bench heading towards David.
Tears starting blur my vision.
"David honey look who's here." I said as David turned around and saw his dad he ran into his arms holding onto him tight and that made me sob out of joy.
"Dad! I've missed you." He hugged onto his dad as if it was going to be his last time seeing him.
Justin walked towards me with David hugging onto him. He wrapped his arms around David and I. He kissed our foreheads.
"How about we get out of here and go to the beach?" Justin suggested.
"Yeah that sounds fun." David answered.
"To the beach we'll go!" Justin smiled at me.
As we walked to the car. Justin took David to the backseat to buckle him up.
"I got this." He said pushing away Justin's hand.
"Woah we got a big boy over here."
I chuckled at David and Justin. As I walked to the drivers side Justin stopped me.
"Now where do you think you're going?" He asked with a smirk. "Hand the car keys over and park your butt in the passengers seat."
I handed him the keys with the biggest smile on my face as I walked away he pulled me back for a big passionate kiss.
I've missed this so much. I'm glad he's back.
As we pulled apart he smiled at me. I backed away from him walking to the passengers seat as he smacked my butt.
"I've missed you so much." He says his eyes getting glossy.
"I missed you too." I head into the car. As we drive to the beach Justin holds my hand.
As we park David rushes out of the seatbelt. Justin rushes out of the car opening the door for David and doing the same for me.
I love it.
As we walked on the beach hand and hand. We stayed there until 9 pm watching the fireworks and playing with David.
As we got into the car Justin held David in his hands since he was falling asleep.
As he laid him down but made sure to buckle him up.
We got into the car and started to drive home the traffic was a bit slow.
"Ju how long are you staying?"
"For two weeks but in December I'll be back just in time for Christmas and birthdays. This time it'll be different because I'll be back permanently."
I smiled at that. It was going to be nice with both if my boys home.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
As we go home Justin lays David in his bed to sleep. He sits in the kitchen.
"So what are we making us for dinner?" he asked.
"We?" I questioned.
"Yes we I've learned a thing or two about cooking over the past year."
"So what do you know how to cook?" I asked curiously with a smile.
"Spaghetti and meatballs, steak and mashed potatoes, and grilled chicken with rice. I've learned to make lots of rice." he said proudly.
"I think I'll take you up on that steak and mashed potatoes."
"All right." he said with a smile.
As we got to work in the kitchen. When I heard footsteps walking towards us.
"Mommy I had a dream that daddy was here and we went to beach." David says as he rubs his eyes.
"It wasn't a dream, buddy. I'm here." Justin says as he walks towards him.
"Daddy!" David says as he hugged onto Justin.
"Go freshen up so we can eat." Justin tells him.
I started setting up the plates. I poured some water for Justin and I and juice for David. As I finished setting up David came back with Justin. As we sat down Justin said grace and we began to eat and talk about some events that occurred.
As we finished up dinner. Justin took David a bath while I went in our room bathroom. I started to pull out of my clothes and undergarments. I walked into the shower letting the warm water hit against my skin. A couple if minutes into my shower I heard someone come in.
"Yes?" I questioned.
"Can I join you?" It was Justin. I blushed really hard.
"S-sure." I stuttered.
I heard the shower curtains open then Justin came in and closed them. I turned around looking at him. He kissed my lips softly.
"I love you so much." his hands snaked around my waist and pulled me closer.
"I love you too." I said with a smile.
He bent down to my ear whispering sweet nothings which made me blush really hard.
I think we all know what happened that night. After they put David to sleep if course.😏
