27| Prom Queen

How far would you go?  

Keith walks up to his locker like he does every morning and gets his books out. A girl that he's never seen before walks up next to him and tries to open what he assumes to be her locker.

"You need any help with that" he asks

"Yes please" she says handing him her combination 

"They get stuck sometimes" he jiggles the lock alittle and it opens

"Thanks, Im Y/n by the way"

"Im Keith nice to meet you" he smiles "So where you headed"

She hands him her schedule.

"My next class is near there i can show you the way if you want"

"That would be great"

The two begin to walk and talk on their way to class.

Over the past few weeks Keith and Y/n have become close friends. Shes one of the few people in this school he can actually connect with.

It was lunch time and the two sat together like they usually do. 

"Hey so have you heard" keith says

"about what"she asks

"prom. you got nominated"

"Oh yeah i dont really care about prom."

"really because i was going to ask if you wanted to go with me"

"I suddenly care about prom. Lets go" shes says making them both laugh

After lunch Keith walks Y/n to class. 

"See you after school?"she says

"Yeah I'll see you later prom queen" he says walking away smiling

"Im not- bye" she smiles walking in the classroom.

When Keith finally made it to class he went and sat in his usual seat toward the back of the class. 

As the bell was about to ring most of the rest of the kids were shuffling in heading to their seats. All except the usual few.

"Okay everyone take out your books and turn to page 55"

Everyone did as told and waited for the lesson to begin. As the teacher began writing at the board Jasmin and her friends finally rolled in.

Keith used to be friends with Jasmin until she got popular. Now she acts like she doesn't know him.

"Jasmin your late"

"Im sorry Ms.B I had to hang up prom posters" she said

Keith rolled his eyes.

"I'll excuse it this time have a seat"

She takes a seat right next to Keith.

"Hey" she whispers

Keith ignores her because he figured she wasn't talking to him.

"Keith" she whispers

"what" he answers

"wanna hang out after school" she asks

He was shocked and confused at her sudden interest in him but said yes anyway. "um...sure i guess"

"okay cool"
