Selection day is over. Tomorrow morning those who've made it take their trip to earth. Y/n was mentally preparing herself for what was to come, she couldn't go in there looking all sad eyed and gloomy. She had to go in with a smile it was her job.

"knock knock" a familiar voice says

"Come in"

Her father walks in

"Hello father"she hugs him

"how are you"

she half smiles

"im fine"

"you cant lie to me Y/n i can see it in your eyes you haven't been you since-"

"i said im fine...what do you need"she cuts him off

the last thing she needed was to re-live that horror

"theres something i have to talk to you about before you go"

he was nervous to ask something like this from her since "it" happened

"you know your getting older" he starts to pace

"and..."she motions for him to go on

"and it's time to hand the throne over to you...." he takes a deep breath

"Sooo...do it" she gives a confused look

"you must take a king" he takes a deep breath

"and why is that"

"because that is our law"

her father tries to remain calm

"well maybe the laws need to change" she states

"these laws have been set by our fathers fathers and their fathers before them, they will not change now or ever."

she remains silent

"Besides The King of the Nothing has offered us protection in exchange for your hand in marriage"

Suddenly a few fiery sparks of red flash through her eyes quickly before they turn back to grey.

"well pass the throne to someone else then"

As much as she despised that man she wouldn't let herself get worked up over something that will not happen.

Y/n's father feels he has put up with this attitude for much too long , He's tried to be nice but maybe nice isn't what she needed right now.

He starts to almost hover over her as he grows in size, his eyes light up a piercing yellow

"Listen to me and listen closely , you will take a king and you will fulfill you duties to our people as Queen do you understand me." he says with a loud booming voice

"yes father" she says with her attitude gone

As tough as she was she was genuinely afraid of him when he got like that.

Y/n could barely sleep through the night. Knowing that she had to marry HIM made her skin crawl.

Later that day Y/n appears in a brand new room, it looked like the person who lived here was well kept, and neat. All good things.

She starts to look around the room.
