"He is a priest you say. A priest of the most high. We are descendants of Esau. His father Abraham was a friend of God. We do not worship this God, we do not worship any gods."

This put Kendra into a quandary. Should he ask unbelievers, atheists, to fight against the Nephilim for the place where God's people would eventually live? Or should he reject them? At least they weren't idolators. At least they were brave and willing to fight the giants. As he was pondering these things he felt the presence of an angel. Once he had shifted into the spiritual realm he saw Puleyn.

"Accept them Kendra," advised the angel, "they will soon become worshippers of the Lord."

"Will you join us to fight the giants?" Kendra asked the Temarnens.

"Who would protect our village should Seir find out that we are killing his heroes?"

"Do you want to live under his yoke forever?" asked...

"No, not for ever," replied one of the other men.

"We will see if you can protect our village first before we join you."

"From who?" inquired Kendra.

"Seir sends ten of his heroes to collect tribute from us, they come tomorrow. Let us see if you are better than they," said the lead man.
