Once they got back to Bethel Beloona, Mendro’s wife, tended to Enoch and the other wounded. For three days Enoch was unconscious. Mendro and Chralane fasted and prayed for him as they too recuperated. While this was happening Chelnuk walked in the wilderness to try to get closer to the Lord. He was also fasting and found his way to a well where he sat in the shade and cooled himself with the water. When he closed his eyes partially he saw Silva meeting with another angel. His spirit was in anguish because of his near failure and the wounds of his men. Remembering his mother’s concern he longed to see her again and be comforted by her healing hands. Falling asleep he dreamed he was in the halls of the Rock, running between the Arches with his sister. The Arches held aloft the floor of the meeting place, the place where the people of the Bosom prayed and worshipped. When he awoke he felt stronger, more at peace, more purposeful. In high spirits he returned to the others.
