Be my Shield (Roman Reigns)

Chapter Ten

It was late by the time we left the arena but i couldn't sleep. There was too much on my mind, Roman being at the top of that list. Dean and Seth were both fast asleep, i could hear their distinct snores coming from the bunks in the middle part of the bus. I had no idea if Roman was asleep or not and i was working up the courage to go talk to him. I sat at the back of the bus in the lounge area, curled up on the sofa with a blanket when suddenly the door slid open and Roman appeared in the doorway. I was nervous all of a sudden but i didn't show it, i just stared at him waiting for him to say something

"Can we talk?"

Before i even had a chance to answer he was closing the door behind him and sitting down opposite me. 

"Look Mia this is so hard for me to do but all i want is for you to be happy so if you're going to take Randy back i'll accept it. Even though i hate it like i said i just want you to be happy"

His fists were clenched and his jaw tightened. I couldn't believe what i was hearing. He actually thought i wanted that asshole back. I had to roll my eyes at how clueless he was. He opened his mouth to say something else but i cut him off

"Roman would you shut the hell up you idiot. I'm not now nor will i ever take Randy back. If you had just stuck around and let me explain i would have told you nothing happened"

he just stared at me, mouth slightly open.

"Randy kissed me, he caught me in a moment of weakness and i kinda kissed him back a little but i stopped him and made him leave then you showed up. Everything he did and said after that was all him"

His shoulders drooped a little and he seemed to be taking in what i said, it was like realization had hit him and now he looked guilty and so he damn well should. He looked up at me then suddenly he pounced, pushing me back onto the sofa his lips pressed against mine. I was so caught off guard i didn't protest and as he lifted me by my hips pressing himself against me i couldn't help the quiet moan that escaped my lips. His kisses were frantic and needy and i returned them with just as much force, my hands coming up to cup the back of his head. He began to trail kisses up and down my neck all the while murmuring in my ear

"I'm so sorry Mia, i should have listened to you"

That made me come to my senses and i stopped kissing him, pushing him back a little. He stopped and looked up, his grey eyes meeting mine

"So why didn't you believe me? Why didn't you let me explain?"

He pulled away a little but i kept my legs wrapped around his waist so he couldn't go far

"I was scared of what you were going to say. I didn't want to hear you say that you and Randy were back together. Mia i'm falling in love with you"

His voice was full of sincerity, he caught me off guard a little with his confession and to be honest i was a little worried but those worries flew out the window as soon as he pressed his lips to mine again.There was an intensity and passion between us that grew with each passing second and as he lay me down on my back and pressed his body against me all i wanted in that moment was for him to have his way with me. He began to trace kisses down my neck and chest as held him by the back of his neck and tightened my legs around his waist. Just as i thought things were going my way he pulled away slightly and looked down at me.

"I know things may be rough sometimes and i don't want you to feel pressured into saying it but I do love you Mia, I have for a very long time. I want you all to myself and i'm going to prove to you that i can be a better man to you than Randy ever was"

My heart was pounding in my chest, I knew i was falling in love with Roman but i was ready to say the words? He seemed to sense my apprehension when he kissed me softly breaking me from my thoughts

"Don't over think things, if your not ready to say it that's absolutely fine baby. I'm not going anywhere"

I couldn't help but smile as i pulled him back down to me and kissed him again. His hands began to slide up my shirt when suddenly the bus lurched to a stop almost throwing Roman and I to the ground.

"What the hell was that?"

I heard Dean yell from the bunks. Roman leapt to his feet and pulled me up with him before pushing me behind him as if to shield me from danger.

"Sorry guys, a damn deer ran in front of the bus"

The driver called before the bus began to move again. I began to laugh as Roman's shoulders dropped and he looked back at me

"Well that ruined the moment"

I rolled my eyes playfully and pushed him towards the middle of the bus

"Go to bed Reigns"

He smiled and walked to his bunk and i was about to follow when he came back carrying his blanket and a couple pillows. He threw them onto the sofa and grabbed me by the waist pulling me down beside him, i immediately snuggled into him as he rested his arm around my waist and buried his face in my neck. I guess we were sharing a bed tonight.

"Night Roman"

I whispered i pulled his arm tighter around me

"Night baby"
