Linda was dressed up in a short dress and heels.

"Where ya goin' like that?" George asked, now doing better.

"To see Joseph." Linda said and closed the door as she left.

"Oh." George said to himself.

Linda walked through the wet streets and got to the restaurant she was meeting him at.

She saw him waiting at a small table and hurried over.

"Wow." He muttered.

"Not too bad yourself." She smirked.

She sat down and they talked over dinner.

"Wanna head back to my hotel room? It's not too fancy but it should do." Joseph smiled.

"Sure." Linda agreed, forgetting all about Paul.

They went to the hotel and got in bed together.

He quickly undid her shirt and she did the same to him.

Once they had finished, Linda was tired and stayed with him over night.

In the morning, Joseph drove her home since she wasn't feeling well.

"Do you think it was something you ate last night?" He asked during the ride.

"No it's not like that...it just feels strange." She mumbled.

"Do you think-" He began to say.

"Oh please, I can't think that would've happened with me still with Paul. And he already has to take care of Julian; I couldn't possibly have him help take care of child that's not even his." Linda began to worry.

He dropped her off and reminded her he'd be in town for a few weeks.

She went inside where Paul was in the doorway.

"Paul-"

"Save it." He said angrily.

"Paul, I'm really not feeling well, can we talk later?" She asked.

"You just wanna get out of the mess you got into." Paul told her.

"That's not true, Paul." She said putting her hand on her head.

"I'm gonna take a nap." She told him and walked upstairs.

Just about a week later, Linda became quite nervous and timid around Paul.

"Linda," Paul said, "I'm sorry if you really were feeling ill the other day I was just upset."

"It's not that." Linda said. "I need to call Joseph real quick."

Paul waited in their room and Linda called using the phone in the kitchen.

"Hello?" Joseph asked.

"Hi, it's Linda."

"Hey. How are ya?"

"Jo...you know that thing we talked about in the car...that I said couldn't possibly happen especially with me and Paul taking care of Julian?" She asked.

"Yea..."

"It happened." Linda said nervously.

"You're..."

"I'm pregnant." Linda announced, almost in tears.

"Do you want me to come over? Or pick you up?" He asked.

"No. I'll call you later. Bye." She hung up the phone quickly.

She came back upstairs to Paul.

"Can we talk now?" Paul asked.

"Paul, I need to tell you something." She said, shaking.

"Yes?" He asked.

Linda sat on the bed and Paul hurried to her side and held her hand.

"Paul, I'm...I'm pregnant." She said quickly.

Paul looked at her with his eyes wide like an owl's.

"Paul, I'm so terribly sorry!" She cried.

"So...this is Joseph's baby?" He asked.

She nodded.

"Oh..." Paul became quiet.

Linda looked at him with apologizing eyes.

After minutes of silence, with the exception of Linda's crying, Paul sat up.

"Well if you're gonna have a baby, let's make sure we're ready." He announced.

"What?" She asked, astonished.

"Hey, if we're gonna have a baby, I wanna be ready this time." Paul told her.

"You mean, you're actually gonna help me?" Linda asked.

"Of course."

"But he or she isn't even yours." Linda said.

"I know, but it's your child too. I'll do anything for you." Paul smiled.

Linda nearly choked Paul, she hugged him so tightly.

"Thank you." She cried tears of joy and nervousness into his shoulder.

Paul lied themselves down and gently lied down so that his chest was on her back. He put his hand onto her stomach gingerly and kissed her cheek.

"You're gonna be a great mum." Paul smiled.

"I hope so." She said. "If you help, the baby 'll turn out just fine."
