The Unexpected Always Happens

He's Here

The dreaded day was finally here. Today, Tyler Mills is going to be arriving in my home and will be staying with us until who knows when. I honestly hate politics but it does make sense if he stays here. It will look good if we finally end this horrible dispute. I'm sitting in my study going over todays agenda with my assistant Wendy, when I over hear some commotion outside.

I walk over to the window and sure enough I see someone who I'm not thrilled to see, Tyler. He's standing there with a smug smile just looking around my home. I scoff. I hate the fact that he's pretending like nothing happened. How can he just act like he did not just try and kill me? Well the good thing is that if he tries anything here I can kill him. Well not literally but I can put him away. My mother walks in and gives me the look.

"Yeah yeah I'll go and greet him." My mom nods. "I know you don't agree with this but it's the only way sweetie." I nod. "Yeah I know, I just can't promise that I'll be all that nice." She smiles. "Look I know you're still mad at him I am too because my shoulder and arm still hurt from the bullet wounds." I sigh. "Don't worry mom I'll be right down." She nods and walks out.

I look at Wendy and sigh. "Well Wendy I will be back, just finish up confirming the dates for the lunch meetings ok?" She nods. "Yes your majesty." I nod. I walk out of my study and made my way to greet my wonderful guest. I get there and my parents are standing at his side. Tyler turns to me and bows. "Your majesty." I scoff.

"Enough with the curtsy and respect." He gives me a weird look. I look at my parents and they give me a glare. I scoffed and fixed my face. "Well now that you will be living here, how about I show you a tour of my beautiful home?" He smiles and nods. "I would like that." I smile. My parents gave me a reassuring nod and I walked away with Tyler at my side.

I showed him every inch of my beautiful home then escorted him back to his room. I opened the door and showed him his room. We both walked in and he was in awe. "Wow this is beautiful Rhea, thank you for your hospitality." I close the door and lock it. He gave me a weird look. "What's going on Rhea?"

I chuckled and scoffed. I walked over to him and I grabbed him by the collar and pinned him against the wall. "Listen here you little dirt bag, I don't believe this act that you and your mother are doing but if you try to hurt my mother, my father, my siblings, or anyone else I love I will destroy you and you will know who the hell Rhea Jones is you hear me?" He chuckles. "Was that supposed to scare me?"

I couldn't help but be drawn to his eyes. I didn't feel like this when I was with Roland. That's when Tyler grabs my arms and turns me around and pins me against the wall. My heart starts to race super fast that I'm literally in panic mode. "Still a feisty one I see miss Rhea, well two can play that game." He says and I scoff.

He leaned closer to me and we were nearly an inch apart. He scans my face and I couldn't help but be attracted to him. He leans up to my ear and I start to get nervous. "You can think whatever you want my queen but I am sorry for what I did." He whispers and leans back. I looked at his and his look was of pure guilt and shame. I couldn't help but feel bad. I mean it was his customs and plus all this dispute is because of our families not us. I sigh.

"I'm sorry Tyler, it's just..." He nods. "I understand, our families haven't been on good terms but why don't you give me an opportunity to show you that us Mills have changed?" I couldn't help but smiles. He extends his hand out to me and smiles. "Friends?" I squint my eyes and then I shook his hand. "Ok, friends."

He smiles and nods. "But I will still be keeping an eye on you Mister Mills." He smirks. "I would despair if you did." I rolled me eyes and scoffed. "Well I will leave you so you get settled in." He nods and I walk over to the door. "Oh and welcome again Tyler." I say and he nods. "Thank you your majesty." I nod and closed the door.

As I was walking back to my study I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that I did that to Tyler. I stopped and leaned against the wall. Oh my did I hate myself, I felt a strong attraction towards him. I closed my eyes and almost slapped myself out of these feelings. I can't be attracted to a man that hates my family. I took a couple of deep breathes and walked back to my study.

"Everything ready?" I ask Wendy as I walked through the door. She nods. "Great." I say as I sit down. I turn on my laptop and started to just surf the internet to get my mind off of my guest.

Tyler's POV
Rhea walks out the door and I couldn't help but laugh. Such a foolish woman, if she only knew that I don't want to be friends but be her killer. I laid down and that's when I start to remember her face and I caught myself smiling. I closed my eyes and shook my head. No I cannot be attracted to her, well I mean I have to romance her in order for her to trust me but I can't fall for her. I sat back up and that's when my phone goes off. It was a text message from my mother.

"How'd it go son?" -Mom

"Great, they received me with open arms." -Me

"Awesome, now son don't forget your mission. I love you and I hope to see you soon." -Mom

"Yes mom don't worry, I will seek Revenge. And I love you too." -Me

I close my phone and smiled. This gave me the boost I needed to continue on with this mission and seek revenge for what Rhea's family did to mine. I don't know exactly when but within a couple of weeks this kingdom will be mourning the death of their beloved queen, Rhea.
