Prologue

Alex's POV:

I grabbed my last few bags and tossed them into the trunk of my car.

Turning around, I looked at my family and friends and sighed.

Mum was crying, while dad held little Lea in his arms.

"I'm going to miss you so much!" I groaned, hugging my mom.

"Call us if you need anything. We're only a few hours away." Mum said, pulling me into a hug.

I hugged her back, kissing her cheek as I parted from her.

"Thanks. I love you, mum."

"I love you too." She smiled.

I went over to dad, taking Lea from his hands and resting her on my hip.

Lea was only three and a half years old, but she was super smart. I guess it just runs in the family.

"I'm going to miss you the most." I said in a funny tone.

"When will you be home, sissy?" She asked, looking at me with her baby seal eyes.

"A-A while... I'll come visit you guys around Christmas, which is only a few weeks away." I smiled down at her.

She nodded her head and wrapped her tiny hands around my neck.

"I'll see you soon." She mumbled.

"I love you, sissy." She chirped.

"I love you too." I kissed her nose and set her on the ground.

I took a step towards dad and looked up at his twenty eight year old face.

"Be safe. And no messing with any boys, okay?" Dad joked.

I just shook my head and hugged him.

"I'll be back soon. Take good care of mum and Lea." I narrowed my eyes at him.

He laughed and nodded his head.

"God, you're both growing up too fast." He sighed, pulling me into a one armed hug and kissing the side of my head.

"Take care of yourself. I love you, honey." He whispered in my ear.

"Love you too, daddy. See you in a few weeks." I pulled away and have Liam, Zayn, and Harry a hug goodbye the got in the car.

Kassity gave Harry a goodbye hug and kiss. They've been dating for three years now, and they're literally inseparable.

Kassity and I have grown to be great friends over time, and that's why we're going to Uni together.

"Ready for one of the greatest adventures of our lives?" She asked.

I started the car and nodded my head.

I just wish I had Niall here with me, but unfortunately what we had is long gone.

God, I missed him so much.
