Epilogue

I am at the football game with the Wives and Girlfriends.

I watch as my husband scores a try for the Tigers.

I jump out of my seat and cheer with the girls.

Maddox looks up at me and mouths. "That was for you my beautiful wife."

I smile. "I love you."

The Tigers keep scoring and by half time the score is 24-0.

I watch Maddox run off the field with his team.

Liz looks at me. "I need to go to the bathroom. Can you look after Amber Rose."

I nod.

Liz exits the corporate box.

Amber Rose taps my shoulder. "I'm hungry."

I rise. "Let's see what they have in the room."

She take my hand and we enter the room.

On the table is buns, hotdogs, fries, pies, sausage rolls and sandwiches.

Amber Rose looks at me. "I want a hotdog and fries."

I make her the food and put it on a plate for her. "Thank you."

Amber Rose runs out the door. "Look at what I got, Evan." She sticks her tongue out at him.

Evan stands up. "That's not fair. Mummy, I want a hotdog."

A woman I haven't met before rises. "Come inside and I'll make you a hotdog." She shakes her head. "I don't like my son eating that shit and your daughter had to show my son hers."

"She's not my daughter. You can always say no about him eating the stuff if you don't like it."

Linz returns and points to the field.

The guys are back on the field.

I turn my attention to the game and watch Maddox play.

Maddox scores another try and I stand up to cheer for him.

I feel something soak my legs and the ground beneath my feet are wet.

A sharp pain stand my stomach.

Shit! My water just broke.

I scream.

"What's going on?" One of the girlfriends asks.

"My water broke,"

I feel another stab and hold onto the chair in front of me.

Liz grabs my hand. "I need to take you to the hospital."

I take one last look on the field and I see Maddox looking at me.

I mouth. "The baby's coming."

He nods.

As I get to the door of the corporate box. I turn in time to Maddox score for the Tigers.

At the hospital the nurse keeps telling me how many centre metres I am.

I roll my eyes.

I'm not giving birth until my husband is in the room with me.

Maddox enters the room. "I'm glad you waited for me."

I smile. "I'm glad your here."

The nurse looks at me. "You're ten centres push on your next contraction."

I feel the contraction hand I grip Maddox hand.

I push.

Maddox pushes away my hair that's stuck to my face. He kisses my forehead. "You're doing great, baby."

Ten minutes later, at 4:45pm, my beautiful blonde hair, blue eyed daughter is born.

The nurse gives me my daughter and I wrap my arms around her.

She my beautiful alien.

After fifteen minutes of holding her naked form in my arms the nurse takes her from me and weighs. She wraps a blanket around my daughter and brings her back to me. "Do you have a name for her?"

I nod. "Amara Juliet Colt."
