Chapter 46

--- Addy's POV ---

When I woke up the next day I kept my eyes closed and moved myself closer into the warm embrace of the body beside me which I assumed was Alex. I didn't want to wake up completely and start trying to remember what happened the night before, at least not until I'd had a few more minutes rest. But my movements woke the person beside me and I heard their breathing change.

'Shit' the voice cursed and my eyes snapped open when I didn't recognise Alex's voice

'Jack?' I felt my jaw drop 

I lifted up the covers and saw that both of us were in our underwear.

'Did we?' I looked back at him

'I don't think so' he scratched his head

'We've got underwear on so I think we're clear' I let my breath out

'As far as I can remember all we did was sleep' he rubbed his eyes 'You threw up everywhere though'

'I can see' I looked over the side of the bed at the vomit covered clothes

'You kissed me' he suddenly blurted out

'What?' I frowned

'Before we went to sleep you kissed me like properly' he looked down at his hands 'I kissed back'

'I'm sorry' I grabbed one of his hands 'I probably thought you were Alex'

'It didn't mean anything we were just drunk' he nodded

'Absolutely' I agreed 'Where are Alex and Jodine?'

His expression darkened 'I don't care'

'What happened?' I shuffled closer to him

'I told her I wanted to be more than friends and she blew me off and started flirting with some other guy' he explained

'It's okay' I patted his hand

'I just felt humiliated so I came to look for you and Alex and found you asleep in here' he told me

'I wonder where Alex is' I looked around 'He was with me'

'Yeah' Jack scoffed

'Come on let's find him' I got out of bed avoiding the vomit 'Alex's shirt is ruined'

'Here take my shirt' he tossed it over to me as he pulled on his trousers

'Thanks' I grinned

We left the room together and I started looking for Alex but Jack stopped me when I was about to open a door.

'Maybe you should wait until he finds you' he said quickly

'He could be hurt or something though' I tried to move past him

'Addy please' he was almost begging me

'Jack what's going on?' I folded my arms

'I don't want you to be upset' he avoided my gaze

'Get out the way' I shoved him aside and opened the door

The first thing I saw was Jade coming out of the room's en suite wearing nothing but her underwear and a malicious smile which spread over her lips when she saw me. I turned around and jumped in shock when I saw Alex sitting up in bed shirtless rubbing his face.

'A-Alex?' I stuttered

His head shot up at the sound of my voice and he shot out of bed. Jack was faster though and he moved to stand in front of me.
