Chapter 25

--- Alex's POV ---

I woke up to a room that I didn't recognise; I sat up suddenly and regretted it instantly, my head was pounding and I couldn't open my eyes without being blinded by the light.

'What the fuck did I do last night?' I groaned to myself

'Well do you want to freshen up before I tell you?' I opened my eyes fully and saw a boy smirking at me

The memories came flooding back, Jade, Ben, vodka, making out, Addy being upset. I cringed with embarrassment from what I could remember I'd made a complete fool out of myself.

'Bathroom's down the hall' Ben smiled

'Thanks' I got up slowly

Once in the bathroom I looked at myself in the mirror and grimaced, I looked dreadful. I was still in my suit from last night and it was covered in what looked, and smelled, like vomit. My hair was messier than usual and I had huge dark circles under my eyes. I pulled off the jacket and splashed my face with cold water to wake myself up then went back to Ben's room.

'Feeling rough?' Ben asked

'Understatement of the year' I said

'Well you drank half of our vodka in about fifteen minutes' he shook his head almost in disbelief

'How badly did I embarrass myself?' I asked as I sat down next to him

'You threw up down yourself and all over a teacher' Ben grimaced

'Fuck' I groaned

'You came over to me and blackmailed me into letting you drink with me then told me about how Jade had forced herself on you and Adeline has seen you then you drank most of the vodka and stumbled off' he carried on

'It just gets worse and worse' I mumbled

'There's more though' Ben said 'I followed after you because I knew you needed to go home and I found you outside making out with Jade so I stopped you and she called Adeline a freak so you shouted that you love her' I blushed as I recalled saying that 'I took you inside and a teacher came over and asked if you were drunk and you said you weren't then started laughing uncontrollably about God knows what then threw up and collapsed on the floor' Ben concluded

'So how did I get here?' I frowned

'I didn't know where you lived so I brought you to my house my Mom's not in so I thought it'd be okay' he explained

'I'm sorry about everything man you shouldn't have had to deal with it' I apologised

'No worries' he brushed off the apology 'But you need to sort things out with Adeline from what you said last night you're infatuated with the girl'

'I'm going to sort things out with her once I've sorted myself out' I looked down at myself 'I don't think she'd appreciate me turning up on her doorstep looking like this'

'What about your Mom?' Ben asked

'Shit she's going to kill me' I stood up quickly ignoring the pain in my head 'I've got to get home'

'I'd offer you a ride but I don't have a car' Ben said

'It's fine' I shook my head 'I'll see you around Ben thanks for everything and I'm sorry about last night'

I ran out of his house and looked around; I was about fifteen minutes from my home. I started running down the sidewalk to face the wrath of my Mom. I tried to sneak into my house, hoping that nobody would notice. I was wrong. My Mom was waiting in the kitchen tapping her foot with her arms folded.
