Chapter 22

--- Addy's POV ---

I stood in front of my mirror in my dress for the Winter Ball. I pulled at it until I was sure there wasn't too much cleavage showing, but there was still a little because I'm not a fucking Nun. I turned on my curling irons and softly curled my hair, arranging so it tumbled down my back. I then started on my makeup, applying foundation powder and blusher. Then lined my eyes with black eyeliner and dusted a blue eye shadow softly across my lids. The whole look was finished with two layers of mascara and a swipe of lip gloss.

'Adeline you look beautiful' Daniel walked in as I pulled on my heels

'Thanks bro' I grinned at him

'The boys will be going wild' he smirked

'Well I'm going with Jack and Alex so they'll keep them at bay' I joked along with him

'They'd better do or I'll be having words with those two' he growled

'Calm down Danny' I rolled my eyes

I walked down the stairs with Daniel following after me.

'Are you ready then?' he asked

'Yep so I'll see you later' I kissed his cheek and walked out the front door

'Stay at least one metre away from any boys' he called as I crossed the lawn to Alex's house making me laugh.

I knocked on the door of Alex's house; I was five minutes late so Jack should've arrived already. I waited nervously for someone to answer the door, I was worried that I wouldn't look good enough and Alex's parents would be disappointed or something. But all my worries were forgotten when Mrs Gaskarth answered the door.

'Oh Adeline you look absolutely beautiful' she gasped as she answered the door

'Thank you' I blushed and she led me to the kitchen by the hand where Jack, Alex and Mr Gaskarth were talking. Well Jack and Alex were discussing their band and Mr Gaskarth was listening. Mrs Gaskarth cleared her throat pointedly and the three men stopped their conversation turning to see what she wanted. I stepped out from behind her and smiled shyly.

'Addy you look amazing' Jack had his mouth hanging open

'You two boys are going to have a fair job protecting this one tonight' Mr Gaskarth chuckled

'Jack you'll dislocate your jaw shut your mouth' I told him giggling

I noticed Alex still hadn't said anything so I looked over at him. He was staring at me with a shocked look on his face; he blushed and quickly composed himself when he saw me looking at him.

'Alex are you okay?' I smiled

'Yeah sorry it's just you look really pretty Adeline' his cheeks coloured even more

'Aw thank you' I walked over and kissed his cheek

'What about me?' Jack wined

I laughed and kissed his cheek too.

'Can I just say you two look mighty fine tonight' I said gesturing to their suits

They had matching black suits on with the ties I'd chosen for them. Jack's hair had been left its usual mess but he looked adorable. And Alex had straightened and styled his hair so it swept across his forehead, he looked gorgeous and my heart fluttered when he smiled at me.

'We're finally dressing like real men' Jack said proudly

'Well it's the closest to manhood you'll ever get baby so enjoy it while it lasts' I smirked at him and he playfully elbowed me.
