Y/n was given 10 years in prison, while Ni-Ki was given 7 years.

Y/n had taken all the blame for what happened and everyone cooperated with the story Y/n's defense presented.

Y/n had planned everything out of fear. Y/n was tired of being abused and mistreated... by both Mr. Nishimura and Mr. Jang.

All the girls testified in court, including Wonyoung.

All the girl's parents even showed up to the trial in support of Y/n.

Y/n pleaded guilty in the end and stated that Ni-Ki had nothing to do with it. He was just wrongly influenced by their older sibling's poor attempt at getting away from abuse.

But even with Y/n's testimony, Ni-Ki still received 7 years in prison with an opportunity for parole after serving 5 years.

After all, Ni-Ki was the one to pull the trigger first.

Y/n was sentenced to 10 years in prison just 3 days after their 18th birthday.

- Minji POV -

Everyone was giddy, excited, and nervous.

"How do I look?" Haerin asked.

"You look good. Y/n will probably look a wreck, so it's okay!" Hanni teased her.

We were all waiting for Y/n to be released.

It had been 10 long years of waiting, but it was worth it.

Y/n had worked really hard to get to this point...

And even though it wasn't what we all wanted.

It ended up working out in the end.

- Hanni POV -

After everything that we all went through with Y/n, we still eagerly waited for our old friend to walk out of those prison doors.

Everything had changed and everyone had grown up, but our hearts had never moved on.

"You ready?" Dani asked as she held my hand.

"Yeah," I nervously exhaled.

10 years of waiting and it was like my feelings had never changed.

It was like I was still in the sandbox, waiting for Y/n to get to the park .... so I could see that beautiful smile of theirs.

- Hyein POV -

10 years worth of visitation visits were now over.

It was finally over.

My wait was over.

I could finally see Y/n outside of a tiny window in a prison.

"Do you think Y/n will be happy to see us?" Haerin unnie asked.

I giggled at her question.
