Lillian's POV

I must have zoned out, because when I came to I was being carried through the training grounds on our pack lands. The sky was dark, and I snuggled into Devin's chest inhaling his scent to calm me. "What happened?" I muttered, my throat scratchy as I looked around at our surroundings.

Devin stopped, looking down at me, he nuzzled his face into my neck. "Your awake." he stated, the tension in his body relaxing as he cradled me closer to him. "Thank god, you awake." I wrinkled my nose as I tried to inhale his scent, dried blood was all over him.

"What happened?" I asked as I tried to wiggle out of his arms. "You don't remember?" Devin replied, his eyebrows raised. "If I did I wouldn't be asking." I retorted as my feet hit the soft grass beneath me. Devin pulled me closer as we walked towards the pack house. "You really don't remember?" He asked again, my mind was searching for anything to give me a clue as to what happened. I searched deep down but I couldn't even find Lola to even ask her. Thinking that maybe she blocked me out. I stopped, looking puzzled as I continued to think of why he just won't tell me. Devin sighed, as I seen Paul run up from behind us. Paul grabbed my shoulder as he gently nudged me to sit down on the stone seating out the back of the pack house. "I think you need to sit down sis." The look he gave me started to make my anxiety peek. What the hell happened to scare them so bad in telling me?

"What is the last thing you remember?" Paul asked as he sat down next to me. I thought about it, but I could only remember working at the school. "I remember Devin coming to the school hot-headed because I ordered you guys not to tell him where I was. I remember getting ready to leave and..." I said as my eyes blew wide realizing that when I walked outside I saw that there were no warriors around. "I was taken wasn't I?" I muttered.

Devin knelled down in front of me, his hands going toward my face as he cupped my cheek. "Your safe now." he whispered as he kissed my forehead. I let out a shaky breath. "That doesn't explain why I can't remember or why I feel that you guys are holding something back. What really happened?" I exclaimed, tired of them walking on eggshells around me, I just wished they would spit it out. "Babe, Do you feel any different? Can you reach Lola?" Devin asked. Shaking my head, I knew he understood the reason why but never really wanted to tell me.

"The vampire that came to the pack house took you. Paul and the pack was hot on your trail when we all suddenly collapsed. The link between you and the pack made us feel everything that you did." Devin explained as his eyes dimmed with sadness. "We were on fire, our bodies got so hot that they burned though us. It only slowed us down for a bit till our wolves took hold, and they too felt different. More charged, stronger and faster." I sat there listening to them but didn't remember any of it. "I don't remember none of it. I remember I felt Paul getting closer to me, and felt his pain but then nothing." I whispered as I stared at the ground. Paul grabbed my hand, turning me to face him. "Lola took control and pushed you to the side. That is why you can't remember. But sis, your body was glowing so brightly when I arrived and you shifted partially. Lola took hold of that pain, and the strength that came with it and killed the men that took you. She was rabid, completely feral with rage that it took a toll on her, it wore her out." Paul stated as he glanced over at Devin.

"What is it that your not telling me?" I asked as my head snapped over to Devin. I understood that could be a reason why I was not able to each Lola, but something else has them concerned. "When it was all over, we had a visitor. She told us that she blessed you for that she wanted you to see that you are more than what you believe and that you shouldn't sacrifice your life for the sake of anyone and everything. That you need to look out for yourself as well." Devin took in a deep breath as his eyes turned glassy from the unshed tears. "Honey, Lola pushed you aside so that she could do what she knew you couldn't. She killed them in order to protect our child. The Goddess blessed you with life, knowing that you would risk your own before taking another. She blessed Lola to be able to fight with passion, love and acceptance that sometimes people can not be saved and that you shouldn't sacrifice your own self being for the sake of them." I tried to process what he said but all I thought about was he said our child. What child? I couldn't be could I? I have lost so much, could I really be carrying a pup? I stared blankly ahead, deep in thought as I felt the tether of a new life in the bond.

My eyes widened in shock as I felt the tether to our pup. My hand went to my stomach, as I stared at Devin and cried. Shawn came up behind them, my eyes snapping to him as I looked at him puzzled. "You found your mate?" I blurted out, not realizing that Devin and Paul may not know. Shawn looked at me, tilting his head as he glanced over at Devin. Devin and Paul both stared at Shawn as if he grew two heads, then to me. "Luna. How did you know that? We haven't marked each other yet?" Shawn stated as Devin smiled up at him.

"I don't know, I can just sense your wolf and you better. I am more in tune with everyone's feelings now. I can feel not only Devin but all of you.
