Lillian POV

How dare he leave me like this, what in the hell happened! I stood there trying to catch my breath, then slowly regain my composure before leaving the office in search of him. I had done it plenty of times to him, but never thought he would ever leave me hanging like this. I was fuming, stomping out the door heading towards the stairs headed towards our bedroom. My mind kept wondering how and why he could deny me.

Reaching the top step, I hit something hard and reached out to grab a hold of anything to catch myself from falling. Regaining my balance, I look ahead and noticed I grabbed a hold of Shawn's arm. "Sorry Shawn, Didn't see you there." I muttered as I straightened myself out. Shawn just stood there looking at me, his eyes glinted with a smirk on his face. "You know Luna, He did that on purpose." he said as he stepped aside for me to pass. "What? Why?" I ask as I stare at him trying to piece together why. I think about the reason I have done it to him, and it was mostly for payback when he refused to listen to me or kept things from me. "It's because of the training grounds, isn't it?" I asked. His response from the look on his face confirmed it. Yep, it was because I defied him and trained with the other warriors.

"You have nothing to be ashamed of Luna. You did great, but you do need to realize that he is worried about you." he retorted, as I stare over the balcony to the Living Room. "It's in our nature to protect you Luna. Your little show may have proven that you are capable of defending yourself, but you also have to think that you were fighting with your own men, who swore not to harm you. You did not get the full force of what an enemy is capable of.... Alpha doesn't want to loose you, but he also doesn't want to hold you back either... You just need to be patient with him, he is trying." Shawn exclaimed as he walked down the stairs.

Watching Shawn leave, I pondered at his words. Yea, I could be truly defiant, and hated people fussing over me, but I could understand what he was saying. Now I regretted the outburst I did. I must have stood there lost in my thoughts when tingles crawled up my body from the strong arms that wrapped around me. "What's wrong my Love?" Devin said as he laid his head on my shoulder. "Nothing" I reply. He turns me quickly, so that I am facing him, "I can feel you. Don't lie to me." he says as he caresses my cheek with his thumb. Leaning into his touch, I sigh. I knew I should be straight with him, but with all he hides from me still resides under my skin. I look up at his beautiful blue eyes and smile, "I'm fine really." I said as I tried to get my emotions in check.

His soft lips brush mine gently, as he buries his face in the crook of my neck, inhaling deeply. "I'm sorry." he mumbled. I pulled away slightly to look at him, my eyes wide is shock as he spoke. "I know you hate being looked after, but you need -" My lips crash into his hungerly as I cut his words off. I knew he was trying and I just need to get past my ego of doing it all myself.

Wrapping my arms around his neck, our bodies press closer together. He pulls a way slightly for some much needed air, before scooping me up in his arms and headed towards the bedroom. Kicking the door open, he tosses me on the bed. The sudden fall takes my breathe away, as I bounce lightly falling on my back. He grabs the bottom hem of his shirt removing it with one quick swipe. Crawling up the bed, he stalks me like I'm his lunch. His eyes flicker Black, as I scramble back towards the headboard. A shriek leaves my lips as he grabs my ankle and drags me to the end of the bed. Grabbing something that looks like a thick ribbon, he starts wrapping it around my ankle about to tie it to the bed. "Fuck!" I look up and his eyes turn glassy, looking at him for a moment I wondered who would be mind linking him, when I heard a loud growl escape his lip.

I scrambled out of his grip, and stood up. "I'm going to kill them!" he stampers. I go to reach for him, when he grabs my wrist, looking me in the eyes was Gunner instead of Devin. I gulped, "Stay here my kitty. Wait for the guards. I'll be right back." he says with a painful look on his face. The next second, he shifted and took off out the door, jumping off the railing into the living room below. I watched Gunner run towards the kitchen and out the door towards the training grounds. I rush down the stairs and look out the door, the sight before me took my breathe away.

I scramble backwards as a huge tan wolf came charging at me. My legs gave out, making me fall backwards, when suddenly a light gray wolf with black paws jumps over my head and began attacking the tan wolf. Scrambling to my feet, I press forward towards the Living room, when 2 other large wolves came up from behind. They didn't seem fazed about me being there, when suddenly they bowed their heads. I knew then they were Leon and Raidon. I looked outside, the tan wolf dead on the patio as the other stood guard by the door. His head turned to look at me, as he bowed his head in submission too. I never had much run in with their wolves so I couldn't tell exactly who they were until I sniffed the air.

Fighting broke out all around the pack house, and I felt for the bond I had with Devin in hopes that he was okay. "I fell you love, I'm alright. Stay in the pack house with Tye, Leon and Ray." his voice flickered through the link. Pulling on the pack bond, I searched for Tye's aura. "What is going on? Why are they attacking us? Who are they?" I ask as I watch his wolf rip apart any intruders that come near. "It's Alpha Drake's men, Luna. Don't worry, we have it covered. The Alpha will be just fine." he said through the link as he charged at another wolf that snuck past the front lines.
