I didn't want to go back to the room just yet. That smell, I couldn't handle it. Devin had the staff clean the room from top to bottom, as I stayed in the office with him. He sent Leon back to the store to buy more clothes that I was after. I watched Devin fumble with the paperwork, but even he couldn't concentrate. "I can't work right now. Your worry is making me loose my concentration." He said as he walked over to the sofa I was sitting in. He wrapped his arms around me, holding me close. "Sorry." I muttered.

I stared out the window wondering who would actually do something like that. Hell, I wasn't here long enough to make enemies and I had never even met anybody outside the regular staff either. "What's a matter beautiful?" Devin asked as he rubbed his hand down my cheek. "I never did anything to anyone. I never even met anybody outside the regular staff." I said as I looked over at him. "I just don't get why someone would do something so cruel."

I knew Devin wanted to tell me something, his guilt and worry pounding through the bond. "What is it? You know who did this don't you?" I asked him. He leaned back as he sighed. He ran his hand through his hair as he looked at me. He stood up, pacing the room for a minute, as I watched him. He sat back down on the sofa, grabbing my hands as he tried to spit it out. "We have been having a problem with a pack member." He sighs, as he rubbed circles on the back of my hand. "The person that did this, is the same one that we have been dealing with for awhile now." He says as he sighs. I turned towards him, "Just spit it out Devin. If I am the Luna, and your mate, I need to know." I retorted, tired of all waiting. I know he didn't want to upset me, but if I am a target I need to know about it.

Devin sat on his knees between my legs as he held me close. Worried that I would leave or think less of him. "It was stupid. I was stupid....I ..." he began saying, "I slept with a pack member. It was a long time ago, when I first became Alpha..." He uttered as he held on my legs. I ran my fingers through his hair, as I already knew women would have been throwing themselves at his feet. "There was nothing there, it was only sex to me but she wanted more. She wanted...." he stopped to look up at me. "To be Luna." I said, and he nodded in agreement. "There was no chance in hell, I was going to let any women except my fated mate become Luna. When I refused to mark her, she got angry. She has somehow, gained access to the pack house and been throwing herself at my men, thinking that if she was closer to me that I would possibly change my mind." He retorted. I swallowed, I knew I was not his first but I never thought that I would have to deal with a lunatic. He laid his head down on my lap as I continued running my fingers through his hair. Tugging him up, I looked him in the eyes. His gaze broke my heart as I felt the guilt through the bond, his sadness and worry seeping into me. "It's Okay." I said, as I pulled him closer to me. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm yours." I stated as I gave him a kiss. The worry in his eyes faded away as he cupped my cheek, running his thumb across my bottom lip, "And you are mine. Always." He said as he leaned in for a kiss.

We sat there embraced in each others arms, until a knock on the door brought us back to reality. Tye opened the door, his shirt was torn, blood dripping down his chest as he threw this blonde-haired woman down onto the floor. She coward to the corner as Tye, Leon and Raidon closed in on her. Raidon slammed the office door shut, and turning the lock snapping it into place with a turn of the wrist. Devin got up with such speed, I was nearly knocked off the sofa. "How dare you bring that thing in this room! Near your Luna!" He yelled at the guards. I looked over to see her cowering in the corner, she was beautiful despite what she has done. Standing up, I walked over to Devin, placing my hand on his arm. His head snapped over at me, as his eyes flickered back to blue again. He looked at me, then put his head down, "Don't worry about her. She will never take me away from you." I whispered. Devin sighed, I looked up at Tye and Leon, then looked over at the woman. "Leon." I said getting his attention. "Yes my Luna" Leon replied as he walked over to me, "Does this pack have cells, like my old pack does?" I asked as I remembered the scary stories of this packs cruelty. Not really thinking that they would have such places for they would just kill them and be done with it. "Yes Luna, We do." Leon says with a grin. "Place her in the cells, till Devin and I think about what to do with her." I said as I glanced over at her.

Leon strides over to grab her out of the corner when she lunges at me. Grabbing a hold of her arm I twist it behind her back and shove her to the ground. Leon grabs her but not before her arm breaks. Tye, Leon, and Raidon all look at me surprised. Devin too was also taken back, but smiled at me as he lifted me up off of her. "Well, I guess all that training did pay off." Devin chuckled. Adrenaline rushed through me, as I got even angrier now. "Just because she did that, make sure to strap her down with silver chains, don't forget the wolfsbane!." I screamed as Leon drug her out of the office to the cells.

"Well, my dear Luna. I don't think our assistance is required." Tye stated with a chuckle. "Nope, I believe you can handle things." Raidon retorts as he grins. They walked out the door, following Leon down the stairs. I couldn't help it, I was pissed. I was tired of being a push over and after doing it worry hit me briefly until everybody just ignored my actions as if it was a normal thing. Devin ran his hand up and down my arms, holding me close. His scent soothed my anger, relaxing me. "I'm sor...." His lips smacked into mine, stopping me dead sentence, my lips part, granting him access. He kissed me deeply, his fingers tangling in my hair that came undone. I pressed against his chest, needing some air, "I..." Devin placed his finger on my lips, "I told you, there is no reason to be scared of me. You are the Luna, you have every right to serve punishments." He said as he started to walk back to his desk, pulling me with him. "Now that is over, and you stepped into the Luna role, how about helping me with some of this work" He chuckled, pointing to the stack of paperwork on his desk.

I stared at him with my eyebrow raised. I might have overstepped a bit, but I am not sitting there doing paperwork all day. "Nope. But I will make myself useful in the kitchen. I might even bring you up something later." I said as I stood up, walking towards the office door.

By the time I got to the kitchen, Beta Shawn came around the corner, "Heard you already put that training to use. I was kinda hoping that you would have used my move though and took a chunk out of her neck." He snorted as he patted my shoulder.
