When he finally pulled away, she chose not to mention the slight redness rimming his eyes or the way he looked away as though he was ashamed for acting like he had.

She held his face gently in her hands, forcing him to look at her, and with a shaky voice told him, "they don't deserve you, Five," In a broken whisper.

His lips pressed into a thin line to keep his emotions at bay.

He wanted to tell her that he didn't deserve her.

He wanted to tell himself that she was wrong, that what he was doing was right, he had to. It had to be. But his brothers words had gotten to him, and now they felt even more alone even if they had the support of the others. What use was it if they weren't all together?

All he had ever wanted was for them to be together, everyone, one family against the world. He felt like a child again for wishing it, but again, wasn't he still? Weren't they both?

He cleared his throat and had to look away.

A flash of pain crossed her eyes as she lowered her hands to her sides. She wanted to scream at the world that this wasn't fair.

She wanted to let the world burn.

Was what they were doing worth it? It was a question she had asked herself so often. Was it?

The sacrifices they had made - would they ever balance out with the outcome? Would they ever be able to breathe?

A clattering sound of a stone bouncing off the brick wall behind them made them pause. They turned to watch it roll to a stop between them and turned their attention to the direction it came from. Their expressions switched immediately.

Up on the roof stood a familiar woman in all black save for her red boots.

Lena hurriedly wiped under her eyes as she realised it was Lila.

Five's fists clenched at his sides.

She winked down at them both before waving mockingly, before running off and disappearing rapidly across the roof.

Immediately, the two exchanged a withering look knowing they had no choice but to follow for lack of anything else to do.

"What does she want?" He asked bitterly as they tracked her to an old warehouse building, gravel crunching under their shoes as they didn't bother to keep their presence subtle.

It had gone past that point - they were tired. Clearly Lila wanted them to follow, so they were going to entertain her for the simple sake of it being the only option they had, even if it was a trap.

"It can't be anything good," she murmured with a sigh. A headache was forming with all her pent up emotions coming to light. She wondered how the man next to her was still standing. "Can't we just leave it?"

He glanced at her from the side. She knew they couldn't. With what little of a lead they had, they had to go after this one.

She sighed as they snuck into the building, but almost immediately Lena froze before Lila who smiled at them.

"You said you'd kill me next time you saw me." Lila stated with a confident grin.

"Five." Lena's voice shook as she glanced around them in search of something, or someone.

The minute she walked through that door her senses were attacked by a sickly sweet perfume lingering in the damp space; something exclusive, hard to attain and straight from the 50's. At first she thought she was imagining it, hands turning uncomfortably warm at the thought.
