Luna woke up gasping as sharp pains shot up her arm like lightening. Thankfully, it came as fast as it went, dissipating now that she was awake. It had happened earlier that night, an expected, but unexpected reaction to her nerves trying to repair themselves.

"Noona, you okay?" JK asks, sitting up in bed, alarmed by her movements.

"I'm good baby, go back to sleep," she assures, thankful it was dark in the room so he wouldn't see the discomfort in her face.

"Are you sure?" he asks and she quickly assures him, letting him know she'd probably moved her hand the wrong way in her sleep.

"Okay Noona, sleep like this okay? I'll wake up and check," he says, gently positioning her hands across her stomach before he was out like a light again, his lack of sleep finally catching up with him.

Luna lies there in the dark for a while, listening to the sound of his breathing, but it didn't lull her to sleep like it usually did. She started to get restless after an hour or so and decided to creep out of bed and go downstairs for a cup of tea and some music. She was pretty sure she could handle using the hot water spout on the coffee machine and a tea bag.

The light in the kitchen was on downstairs, illuminating the bottom steps and letting her know that someone was down there already. Jimin looked up from his phone, a steaming cup of tea in front of him, when she hit the bottom step.

"What are you doing up? Couldn't sleep?" he asks and she shakes her head.

"No, so I was going to have a cup of tea. Great minds. You can't sleep either?" She asks and he shakes his head.

"I prefer the night when we don't have a schedule. It feels like I'm wired that way. Come, sit. I'll get your tea," he says and she does, pulling her phone out to search for a song.

"Wait, you were gonna make your own tea?" Jimin asks, looking back at her with narrowed eyes as the hot water filled the mug he put under the spout.

"Um, yeah? I mean—this hand is okay as long as I don't move too fast, see. It's this other motherfucker that's giving me problems," she says, slowly flexing her less injured hand.

"Still Lu, you should've asked for help. What if I wasn't down here and your hand wasn't as strong as you thought?" he asks and she pouts, nodding.

"I get it. It's just hard. You mind if I play some music?" she asks and he shakes his head, giving her the go ahead.

She chooses a random playlist and Aaliyah's "At Your Best", one of her favorite songs, start to play. She closes her eyes and hums along, nostalgia taking her back to summer days and lemonade on her grandmother's porch.

She opens her eyes as Jimin places her tea in front of her, his eyes searching hers—for what she didn't know, but she could practically feel the worry rolling off of him—not unusual for any of her soulmates lately.

"I'm fine—really it's Kookie that I worry about. I may be physically injured, but mentally I think I'm coming to terms with things. I still think we would all benefit from therapy though," she says before taking a sip of her tea.

Chae-Yeong hadn't been her first physical fight and with the way people liked to try them, she probably wouldn't be the last. It wasn't the altercation, or even the injury that left it's mark on her. It was how quickly and easily that girl could've murdered their soulmate. The sheer thought of losing him made their chests hurt and their minds warp, unable to even fathom it in a way that made sense. That was what affected them all so severely.

"I've said it before and I'll say it again. You are so strong Lu, and I realize that you are because you've had to be. You may have come to terms with it, but you are far from okay. I can see it in your eyes. I know that you don't want to worry any of us, but what you don't realize is that we want you lean on us during these times. We're one, not eight remember," he says, massaging her shoulders.

"I know, but we're all dealing with our own shit so it's hard to just pick a person..."

"Then pick me. I'm right here, right now and I can do whatever you need me to," he says, making tears spring into her eyes.

"Hold me?" she asks, spinning her chair around so she was facing him.

He wastes no time doing so, wrapping her up in his arms. His head rests on top of hers and one of his hands cradle the back of her head. Luna wraps both her arms around him, holding on as tightly as she could without using her hands.

Comfort was what Jimin's embrace provided, almost overwhelmingly, but in the best way. Besides she and JK, the group hadn't been as affectionate as they normally are, so she quickly concluded that she was overwhelmed simply because she missed his touch.

"I love you," he says, pulling back to place a sweet kiss to her temple.

"I love you too," she replies, placing a kiss on the left side of his chest through his shirt.

They both giggle as the sweet moment is dissipated by the sound of Usher's voice cutting through the space.

Peace up, A town down

"Now why in the world would they put that in the same playlist?" she tsks, grabbing her phone and tapping the next button.

"Is there really a playlist that Usher doesn't fit into? See?" Jimin grins as Usher and Monica's "Slow Jam" starts to play.

He gently pulls her out of her seat, swaying them from side to side as he hums along to the song.

"Hm, I suppose not," Luna giggles, resting her arms around his neck.

His hands settle on her hips and they sway to the music, dancing slow circles around the space—both their spirits lifted.

"Noona! Not you down here dancing with another man! I thought that was our thing," Tae calls from the stairs, making them look up at him in surprise.

"I'm so sorry baby. I didn't mean it," she says, playing along and making Jimin's jaw drop.

"What do you mean you didn't mean it?!" he exclaims, looking her up and down as she steps away from him.

"I didn't mean to say that. You know it meant the world to me....I guess I can't hide this from you two anymore," she says as Tae approaches with his arms crossed, staring Jimin down.

"Tae, I've been dancing with other men for a while now, but Jimin's the only one I've danced with here in the kitchen I swear. I know how special this place is to you," she says, making him gasp.

"H-how could you cheapen what we have this way? I thought what we had was special," he "cries," his dramatics and the offended look Jimin gave him almost making her break character.

"Cheap? I've been called a lot of things, but never cheap! You take that back!" Jimin cuts in, stepping up closer to him.

"No, don't fight! Both of you are special to me, but Jimin...Tae was my first right here where we're standing. I can't—"

"So this is how it has to end huh? It's okay. I know when I'm not welcomed, but it's your loss," Jimin huffs, shooting her a betrayed look before sauntering over to the island and taking his seat, sipping his lukewarm tea.

Luna giggles as Tae pulls her into his arms, placing her arms around his neck like they'd been on Jimin's.

"Alexa, play La Vie En Rose," he calls and Emily Watt's rendition starts to play from the speakers in the kitchen.

"How are you?" he asks after placing a warm kiss on her forehead.

"Better now. You and Jiminie really lifted my spirits," she replies with a genuine smile.

"Good. That's what we're here for love," he says, making her squeal when he dips her unexpectedly before pulling her back up, his nose nuzzling hers affectionately before he lightly pecks her lips.

She recognizes "So This is Love," playing in the background and sighs contentedly, for this feeling is what makes life divine—and now that she had this miracle, she'd continue protect it with her life.
