Jeongguk looked down at his soulmate's sleeping face and sighed before placing a gentle kiss on her wrist. Tae sat on the other side of the bed, lightly stroking her arm. Their other soulmates rested in various places throughout the room—Hobi, Joon, and Jimin planted on the sofa busying themselves with flipping through the channels on the TV, Yoongi laid back in the recliner with his headphones on, and Jin pacing the room.

It had been three days since the incident with Chae-Yeong and JK recovered fine after they'd pumped his stomach; but Luna had to have emergency surgery on her left hand from when she'd grabbed the knife during the fight. She had to get a few stitches in her right hand as well from getting the glass from the mirror lodged in her knuckles.

What were supposed to be simple fixes more or less turned into a nightmare for them when the orthopedic surgeon's nursing staff had come to ask them questions about Luna's medical history because they were experiencing complications with the anesthesia and had to stop the surgery to intubate her. They'd all been in an emotional frenzy, out of their minds with worry; and were so grateful when Luna's parents showed up to take the reigns and answer things they couldn't.

Now, here they were three days later still waiting for her to wake up. They'd taken the tube out of her throat the day before and she was breathing fine on her on, just still unconscious, a negative side effect of the anesthesia they'd used. Her main doctor had decided to take her off all the pain meds they had going in her IV with hopes that she would wake up today.

Although he knew it wasn't his fault, JK was still riddled with guilt. It made him sick to his stomach that he was ever excited about that monster of a girl he wishes he had never met now. The others held guilt too, thinking they were too lax about the situation and should've took it straight to Bang PD when they started suspecting her. It just kept getting put off and swept to the side and look at how that ended up.

Just thinking about it, JK broke into a sob again—something he'd been doing a lot over these past three days. Jin was quick to console him, squatting down beside him and stroking his hair, making sure he did breathing exercises so he wouldn't have another anxiety attack, something else that had been happening frequently.

"Don't cry," Luna whispers from the bed, her throat still sore from the tubes.

Everyone's head turned her way, making sure they'd all heard it—well, felt it for Yoongi. Sure enough, she was awake, blinking slowly as she got used to the light in the room after being unconscious for so long.

The remaining four made their way over to talk her out of her stupor, Joon pressing the nurse button to let them know she was awake.

"I'm in the hospital?" she asks and they all confirm, speaking over one another as they try to explain what happened and how glad they were that she was awake.

Her doctor, along with one of his nurses came in after a brief knock on the door and requested some space, which wasn't much considering they wanted to be as close as possible.

"Hello Ms. Song. I'm Dr. Hwang and this is Nurse Pan. We've been taking care of you since you arrived. How are you feeling?" the doctor asks, pressing down on the button on the bed that helped move her into a sitting/reclining position.

"Ow," was all she could say as she tried to move her hand and the pain set in.

"Ow is good actually. Let's not try to use your hands though. They both need rest, especially your left hand. We had to do a quite serious operation on that one," he says and she nods, staring down at her heavily bandaged hands.

"Do you remember anything from the incident that caused this injury?" he asks, testing to see if the anesthesia had affected her memory.

"I grabbed a knife from a psycho," she says and he coughs to hide his amusement.
