Nathan

Party started 30 minutes ago and within that time, my house had been flowing with students and their friends and their friends, friends. I mean my house was suitable space for the liking, but the swarms of people were beginning to worry me.

My father had been out of town on a business trip and my mother had gone to my grandmother's house to check on her to make sure she was doing ok. My grandmother was a pretty old woman, but she was wiser than anyone I knew. She was weak and fragile, but she carried on like a young thing. She had spunk and wasn't a fun killer unlike my parents.

She called my mother over on purpose as a favor for me, to get her out of the house. 'You owe my big time, Wyatt.' She said in her scolding voice, calling me by my middle name. I only allowed her to do that.

I hated when others would call me that, it didn't ring well in my ear, she had the key to my heart and along with my mother, she was the lady of my life as well.

The music became louder as the DJ, in the corner of the giant hall, played around with the turn tables, head in the head phones that was slightly tilted to the side and his hands dancing with the records. I didn't know how they did that with their head so much. Didn't they ever get cramp in their neck? I thought side tracked by his motions and flow on the track. He was into the music along with everyone else.

There were people everywhere, some in the backyard, some in the kitchen, some on the stairs and some in placed where they shouldn't be. I squeezed through the crowd and made my way to the grand stairs, looking around for signs of...Her...she was no where insight. I wanted to see her so bad. I wondered if she had arrived yet. What I would've said to...

"Baby, there you are." I heard a voice squeal. Shit. I turned to a now happy and cheerful Gail, who trotted up to me with open arms. I placed a fake smile on my face and couldn't help but to let her fall on to me body and clasp with her hands around my neck. I tried to avoid her stare but her long fingers gripped my chin and pulled me to face her hard green eyes. We looked at each other and before I knew what happened, her lips hit mines and we kissed. I tasted liquor. Oh goody.

Her lips moved grossly against minds and her sloppy kiss consisted of her tongue that was now lodged into my mouth. I tried to pull back but she did that thing with her tongue that always got me going. Why? I yelled in my head.

She finally pulled away after satisfaction crossed her face. What the hell was I doing? Was I going back on my word? I heard a throat clear behind me and I jumped, feeling the urge to push Gail away. It wasn't Candice but I turned to look over my shoulder and saw Rey, both hands on her hips and her right heel tapping the floor.

She looked. Wow, she wore that dress well. I couldn't help but look. The hot pink dress fit her closely and stopped mid thigh. I looked at her up and down.

"You gonna' stare pretty boy or are you going to say hi?" she said with a mischievous grin, she never failed to smile.

"Hey, Rey, how are you?" I smiled back and quickly let go of Gail, who was now annoyed and surprised. I ignored her attitude and turned to Rey who was now leaning on the railing of the stairs feet cross, like she was ready, for anything.

A random dude I didn't know walked passed and stared her down with smiles and play in his eyes. Rey looked back the same way. Nothing came over me but I couldn't help but to give him the eye that she was busy.
