SEVENTIETH INSTALMENT

A few weeks after my last discussion with Adam Tina, Ava and I moved house. It was not far from where we were. The house was a lovely 3 bedroom house with a formal and casual lounge room. Ava was really happy she had a new room and loved the back yard after we put up her swing set.

I started going out one night each weekend. I was becoming stagnant and feeling down so the girls always got me hyped up for a big night. Ava didn't mind she loved staying with my girlfriend and her girls, it was a little time out for her also.

Every time we went out Adam was not out and that suited just me fine as I didn't have to have my heart break when I saw him with Donna and I didn't have to act strong I could just be me. I would always have guys buying me drinks, flowers or teddies. I finally was starting to become strong and confident again. My girlfriends were always ready for a laugh and to dance which is something I loved to do. I let my hair down.

After a while I met lot of new people who where really nice and we had a lot of fun. One night back at our house without Ava there someone brought over some pot. I decided to try it again and this time I was not sick at all it made me relax. I was escaping the stress and worry. I know now it is not great to do but back then I could escape and we alway laughed so very much. This became a regular event when Ava wasn't around.

One weekend that I will not forget I left Ava with Tina whilst a friend (Charlene) and I went for a drive. When we came back I saw Adams car parked out the front of our house. I had changed my hair colour to a dark chestnut brown. When we pulled in to the driveway I said to Charlene

"I'm going straight to my room, I don't want to be around him" she tried to convince me it would be ok and he would probably leave when I got there.

I opened the car door and got out and walked in to the house right past Adam without saying a word. I walked straight to my room. I closed the door with tears in my eyes then I heard Adams voice

"who was that hot chick with Charlene?" I heard Tina say

"That was Emily you dickhead"

"Really she looks so hot, she's changed her hair and has lost so much weight" Adam responded. I then heard a knock on the door, my heart raced

"Mummy, can I come in" a little voice asked. I dried my eyes and opened the door. I knelt down gave her a huge hug and told her I loved her.

A little while later I heard the Adam drive away so we went out. I didn't mind sitting on my bed talked with Ava though it was really nice having kid chats.

Everyone was sitting there they all looked to see if I was ok but didn't say a word. My face must have told them if they said anything I would break. When everyone one had gone home and Ava had gone to bed Tina looked at me.

"You got him good Emily, he couldn't believe it was you that walk right past him, you should hold your head up and be proud" she said. We chatted for hours about just about everything. It was nice to just talk and just be Tina and I we were always so busy with everyone coming around all the time. For the first time we smoked a joint together with Ava in the next room. We sat and laughed for ages.

We had settled in to our new place and everything was running smoothly. I hadn't seen Adam and it's right what they say out of sight out of mind.

One night the phone rang and I got it first

"Is that you Emily?" Fear engulfed me. I froze I felt my body shake from the inside. That voice was the only voice that could make me fear to speak.

"I know it's you Emily" the tone changed again

"I know where you are and I will be there soon" I looked around to make sure the door closet to me was locked. I hung up the phone and ran around the house closing all the windows and making sure all the doors were latched.

I rang in to Tina's room and told her that I had just received a call I never wanted to get ever again. Jay was back......
