A week later

Wedding preparations had come to an end, and everyone was now doing their own thing at the compound. Everyone had eaten dinner together every night, and they had gone outside time to time, but most of the time, they were at home.

Klaus, Davina, Kol, Rebekah, and Cami had all been planning the day and were eagerly waiting until it was time to go.

"What should we pack?"-DC
The group of five were all discussing the plans in Kol's room and placing things in bags that they may need.

"I don't think we need anything. It's a sightseeing place."-R
"Probably, but just in case I'll pack some snacks. You are all vampires, but I need the food."-DC

Cami was lying on the bed while Kol and Klaus sat on the corner of it. Rebekah and Davina were standing up, organising the rest of the things.

A ring from Cami's phone caught everyone by surprise, and they all turned to look at her.
"Sorry guys, it's my secretary."-C

Cami slightly sat up, picking up the phone and placing it by her ear.
"Hey Sarah, is everything okay? I thought I told you I was on vacation."-C

"Yes, you did, but Liam is begging for an appointment like right now, and he won't listen when I tell him that you're literally a plane ride away."

Cami let out a sigh as she spoke.
"Put him on the phone."-C

Sarah did as told and handed the phone over to the client.
"Dr. O'Connell, I need you to come to the office. I need a session."

"Liam, that isn't how this works. You can't call upon me whenever you want. I have my own life, you know?"-C

"I know, and I'm sorry, but she's broken up with me. I don't know what to, and I really just want to grab that-"

"Liam, don't you dare. I'm sorry for what's happened, but that won't fix anything. We've made great progress. Don't ruin it now."-C

Cami got up from the bed and went into the bathroom for some privacy as she spoke to her client.

"She said she doesn't love me anymore and then left. I don't know what to do other than to pick up those pairs of scissors, so I thought I'd come to you instead."

"I'm glad you did. I want you to tell me everything about how the breakup happened, okay?"-C

Liam agreed and went on about how it happened. As he spoke, Cami couldn't help but link his words to her breakup with Klaus. Liam's girlfriend had said the exact words she had said all that time ago, 'I don't love you anymore,' and it brought back a wave of nostalgia. Despite thinking of her own breakup, Cami was analysing and listening to each part of what he had said. She had remained silent until Liam asked her a question.

"Do you think she meant it?"
"Meant what?"-C
"When she said she didn't love me anymore."
"Liam, that's impossible for me or anyone besides her to know, but sometimes people say things they don't mean, especially in the heat of the moment. Feelings can just overwhelm you in that way. It drives you to say things you know you will regret later."-C

"Has that ever happened to you?"
Cami had a soft smile playing on her lips, but the sadness in her eyes was noticeable.
"Yes, yes, it has. I said something I didn't mean to someone I cared about a while ago. Like I said, anything can happen in the heat of the moment."-C

"Do you regret it?"
"More than you'll ever know."-C

There was a moment of silence before Cami continued.
"Anyway, this isn't about me. It's about you. Liam, breakups are tough. You're gonna feel all sorts of emotions, and that's okay. It's important to give yourself time to process everything and lean on your support system. Surround yourself with people who care about you and do things that bring you joy. Healing takes time, so be patient with yourself. You're stronger than you think, and you'll come out of this stronger."-C
