"It's gonna get dark soon. Where are we going?" Lizzie asked, standing behind Matilda and Tyreese.
They both stopped and turned towards the girls, Matilda was holding her sister on her hip. They escaped the atteck by running into the woods, they were walking on a dirt path.
"Farther. Come on." Tyreese answered, looking at Lizzie and Mika.
"Is everyone dead?" Lizzie asked, slowly walking behind them.
Tyreese and Matilda didn't answer, only continued to walk. The dark haired girl didn't want to think about Daryl, her brothers or her dad were dead, but the nagging in her brain told her different.
"You all right?" Matilda asked when the group stopped to get some rest for the night.
She was leading against a tree, knees bent, next to Tyreese with Judith on her thighs resting against her chest and Max was curled up next to her. Her sister started to cry, making Matilda rub circles on the baby's back.
"They're gonna here her." Mika said, quietly.
"Shh. Shh, Judy, it's okay. You're okay, Papillon." Matilda stood up, rocking her sister. (Butterfly)
"We shouldn' be out here." Lizzie said, who was sitting on a log arcoss from them.
"We'll find a safe place soon. We will." Tyresse said, over Sammy's cries.
Lizzie walked over to them with a bottle in hand, giving the bottle to Matilda. "Here."
Matilda feed her sister as Max came over to her. Ruffling though the trees caught their attention.
"Walkers!" Mika cried, standing behind Max and Matilda.
"Here, come on." Tyreese said as they hurried away from the ruffling.
They continued to walk until morning, Judith woke up fussing as the little girls walked towards a grape bush.
"Look, grapes." Mika said to Lizzie as they stop at the bush. "Can we eat them?"
Matilda glanced at Tyreese, who nodded. "Yeah, they're good."
Mike pulled a bundle of grapes off the vine before turning to Lizzie. She handed some to Max, who stay next to the woman he thought as his mom.
"Here, Lizzie, have some." The girls happily eat the grapes as Matilda tried calming down her sister.
"Come on, Petit papillon." She lifted him up and got a whif of something nasty. "Max, hand me a diaper." (Little Butterfly)
She gently layed Judy on a blanket, changing her diaper as the baby cried. "It's okay, baby. Shh, shh."
"They're gonna hear her." Mika said as Judith continues to cry when they heard ruffling. "They're coming!"
"Ah! I heard it, Mika!" Tyreese yelled.
"Don't yell at her. She doesn't understand walkers." Lizzie said.
Matilda picked up Judith as Max shoved the stuff in to the baby bag and throw it over his shoulder.
"You're the one who doesn't understand them." Mika agruged back.
Matilda gave Max her sister before going over to her friend. "Watch the baby."
She stands next to Tyreese, holding up the hammer he gave her. A flock of birds flew out of the bushes, startling Mika, who took off into the woods.
"Mika!" Lizzie chased after her sister, leaving Max standing with Judith.
"Shit! Mika! Lizzie!" Matilda shouted as the trio ran after the girls.
"Mika." Tyreese called.
"She's gone." Lizzie said. "You yelled at her and now she's gone."
"Mika!" Matilda called, keeping an eye on Max and her sister. They ran into a clearing and saw Mika finding behind a tree.
"Are you okay?" Tyreese asked, looking down at the little girl.
"I got scared." Mika answered, looking down.
"That's okay. We all get scared. You did the right thing running." He said, reassuring her.
"What?" Lizzie said, standing next to her sister.
"She did. You hear or see a walker, you run. But when you're in a group, you got to try to stay close to them, okay?" Matilda pipped in, taking her sister from Max.
"Ty, you're bleeding. Did I hurt your arm bad?" Mika asked, looking at Tyreese, who arm was bleeding.
"It was a lot worse at the prison. No big."
"I'm sorry. I know I'm not like Lizzie."
"Don't be sorry. You each do things your own way. But you both get it done." Tyreese said, looking down to the young girl.
"Like you and Sasha? And Daryl and you, Tilly?" Mika asked, looking at the two adults.
"You're not like Sasha or Daryl." Lizzie said, shaking her head.
"Why?" Mika asked. "
you're still here. Sasha and Daryl isn't." Lizzie said.
A loud scream rang echoing through the woods as Tyreese grabbed both of the girls'.
"What are you doing?" Mika asked.
"I'm making sure you can see in both directions. You stay like this and keep watch."
"You're leaving us?" Mika asked, scared as another scream echoed.
"They may be from the prison. I need to help them." Tyreese said.
"We need you." Mika said.
"Mica, tuck your shirt behind your knife. So it's easier to grab." Lizzie said, taking Judith. "We'll be okay. Go with him, Matilda."
"Okay. What do you do when you see a walker?" Tyreese asked MIka, giving her a gun.
"Run." Mika answered.
"Run. Together, towards us. Only fire if you have to. You stay right here, until we get back, okay?" Tyreese said before him and Matilda hurried towards the screaming.
"Please, please don't go." Mika pleaded before Max tapped her on the shoulder.
He pulled the notebook in his pocket and wrote. "It's okay, Mika. They'll be back."
Tyreese and Matilda ran up to a man and son fighing off walkers. She swang her hammer, hitting a walker in the head before the son was bit by one of the walker. She ripped off the walker from him, stabbing it in the head.
"Dad!" The boy yelled, holding his bitten arm.
"Christopher!" The father yelled as another walker bitten into the boys leg.
A gun shot rang out making Tilly and Tyreese to look at each other before the father screamed when a walker bit him in the neck. Tyresse ran at the walker hitting it in the head.
"Tyreese. Tilly." A familar voice said, making the two stop.
They turned around to see Mika, Max, and Lizzie standing in front of Carol, who was holdng Judith.
"How—How—"Tyresse stuttered before rushing to the woman.
He hugged Carol which stunned her before pulling back. Matilda came over, taking her sister and hugged the woman.
"How'd you find us? Where were you? How'd you—" Tyreese tired saying, but was cut off by the father crying.
Carol and Tyreese walked towards the father, while Matilda stay back with the girls, her son, and her sister.
"Stay on the tracks. This was my mistake." The father said, kneeling on the ground.
"But the woods have more cover." Carol repiled, making the father shake his head.
"No, you don't understand. There's a place up the tracks. It's safe. You can take the children there." The father said. "Trust me. Please. Follow the tracks."
With that, Tyreese and Carol lead the girls, and Max down the tracks.
