"WAKE UP REAPER! GENO IS-"
Frisk had slammed the door open to my room, seeing a tired Geno and I in bed together.
Frisk gasped, "Reaper! Did you at least use protection?!" Frisk exclaimed. Geno threw a pillow at Frisk as they dodged, "WE dIDn'T dO AnYtHinG!!!!" Geno yelled at Frisk with a hue of red on there face, as Frisk giggled.
Papyrus then walked to the door frame with a mug of tea, he saw the scene. "Gosh brother, if you didn't want anyone barging in your room while you're doing 'a thing' with Geno, at least leave a note on the door Reaper...did you use a condom at least?" Papyrus asked
"WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!" I said, a hue of blue on my face. Frisk died on the floor. I groaned, so did Geno.
Frisk got up from the floor and jumped on us in bed. "Geno! I need to tell you something!" Frisk said.
I have a bad feeling...
"What is it, Frisk?..." Geno said, clearly annoyed by how this morning started.
"While you were asleep! Reaper kissed us both on the lips!" Frisk said with a smile.
I looked wide-eyed at how casual they said that. Geno turned to me with an awkward smile that meant I was gonna get slap, punch, and probably have a few bones through my ribs if I was lucky...
"Reaper..." Geno said.
"Y-Yes?" I felt nervous, I could feel beads of sweat run down my face...as much as Geno is cute, adorable, and probably gonna be the only love of my life...they can be VERY INTIMIDATING!
"What is this I'm hearing?... Did you kiss me in my sleep? and then kissed Frisk? A child? Who's probably 10 years old?" Geno said as questions, but more like statements.
"I'm 13 to be exact!" Frisk said with a pout. "W-Would you believe me if I said that wasn't true?" I asked, "Reaper! You said it was okay to tell Geno! Even if they might punch you, or slap you, or beat you up to a pulp because your too soft to hurt them!" Frisk said.
I looked at Frisk with an utter concern of why the hell they would say that in front of Geno.
Frisk winked with a smile before I got pinned down as Geno started hitting me with a pillow. "YOU PEDOPHILE!" Geno said as they stopped hitting me with a pillow, then started slapping my cheekbones.
"Ow! Geno!!!" I yelled, "No! You kissed me in my sleep! Without my consent either!" Geno yelled, "GENO!" I yelled back, they stopped slapping me.
"You were starving in your sleep, so I HAD to feed you like that!" I explained, Geno rose a brow, then explain why you kissed Frisk you PEDO!" Geno said, raising his backhand to slap me.
I jumped when Geno rose his hand, "Would you rather Frisk kiss you, or I kiss you?!" I exclaimed.
Geno thought about it. "...Alright, I guess that's fair..." Geno said as he stopped pinning me down. I sat up as I rubbed my cheekbone, "You abuse me too much!" I whined.
"Oh be quiet! It's more like a punishment then abuse!" Geno huffed, crossing his arms. I chuckled after I stopped rubbing my cheekbone.
"Hey Geno...feeling jealous?" Frisk asked. Geno punched them in the face as they fell back in my bed as they huffed at Frisk. I smirked.
Geno got out of my bed, and so did I as we left my room, Frisk following afterward. I could smell breakfast from the kitchen.
Geno sat on the couch and turned the TV on as I headed to the kitchen. I saw my Frisk cooking some eggs and bacon.
Did I ever tell you how tall my Frisk is now? I guess I never did...
Let's just say that Frisk grew a few centimeters, but then a boulder fell on them, making them shorter...or maybe I'm just too tall to see their actual height.
Frisk noticed my presents. They turned around with a smile, "Good morning Sans! How'd cha' sleep?" Frisk asked. I groaned in response, "Other Frisk barged in and woke me and Geno up...wish I could have slept longer," I said.
Frisk hummed in understand, "Well I hope your morning get's better when breakfast is ready but in the meantime, wanna catch up?" Frisk asked.
"I guess so..." I responded.
I wonder if Frisk knows about love. I walk up closer to them and lean down to there ear. They stay still with a happy smile. "Do you know anything about...love?" I asked sheepishly, "Why of course I do Sans! Anything you need to talk about?" Frisk asked.
"Talk about this quietly...but I really like Geno, but...I'm not sure if they like me back..." I whisper in Frisk's ear, "Well...if you want advice from me, just go for it! Listen to what your soul tells you!" Frisk whispered yelled back.
Well, that doesn't help when my soul is screaming for me to kill every and anything constantly...I just resist the feeling...which might be bad, since I was made for killing...I haven't killed a soul in a while, and now thinking about it...pisses me off...
"But my soul is more doubtful then confident...Geno really hard to read! They're either happy, nice and sweet, but other times he's the devil in another form..." I whisper back.
Frisk gave a concerned smile, "Well-...that might just be their personality, or that might be how they act in front of certain people..." Frisk said.
Well...Geno Frisk is always there, but usually when Frisk isn't paying that much attention, Geno more nicer...but still a tsundere...
"How about going on a walk with Geno alone? I'll handle the other Frisk for you if you want..." Frisk said, "I'd really appreciate that..." I said with a smirk, "Then it's settle, after breakfast, so you just relax, anything else you wanna talk about?" Frisk asked.
I lifted up from there ear and walked back instead of hovering. They seemed to have relaxed there muscles after that. "Has there been anything new around here that I don't know of?... Like how Papyrus got that scar on his eye, and who did so?" I asked, wanting to get the name of the person who hurt Papyrus.
No one will get away from hurting Papyrus...even me, and even right now I'm punishing myself.
"While Papyrus was reaping in other AU, doing your job, he encountered someone who was supposed to be dead, they had a knife as Paps says, but we really all think it was a large sword since if it was a knife it wouldn't be too deep, and Paps would have killed them if they got close...we're not sure what AU they're in, but when Paps tried cornering them it resulted in the victim fleeing here...Paps is still trying to find them, hoping they're not a semi-god yet that's why they seem so tired..." Frisk said.
I nodded, I guess Paps doesn't really have my trait of hunting someone down...I guess I could help my brother a little...later that is when Geno isn't around...
"Other than that, reaping has gone smoothly with Paps, Mettaton also went on a tour to different places in the world with Muffet, as dangerous that is...said they were gonna try and sell a bunch of stuff! King Asgore also lives here in town, just...away from home, since Tori doesn't really want him around here, but he does visit...I'm pretty sure Gerson lives with him as well, just to help him. Nothing much as gone around here, I still teach children about mercy, and Undyne even teaches a few humans about self-defense, and about using soul magic! Which nice of her...Alphys is the lead scientist now, learning how to open portals an inspiration from you and Toriel as well...not much has happened here, most we've been down was trying to find you, but now that you're here! We don't need to look anymore!" Frisk said.
"You sound like I'm gonna stay here!" I said with a chuckle. Frisk stood there, still, "What...do you mean?" Frisk asked, "I'm not staying here...I really only came because of...Geno" I replied.
The room got tense, the sound of sizzling was loud from the bacon. Frisk turned off the stove and placed the piece of bacon on a plate, then turned to me. There face looked sad, confusing, and a bit angry as well.
"What do you mean? You aren't staying here! This is your home, Sans!" Frisk exclaimed, "That's the thing...it doesn't feel like home..." I said looking to the side, "B-But! What about the few years we've talked, I'm barely your friend! What about the others! Don't you care?!" Frisk yelled.
I could tell Geno could hear us, Frisk was being loud...I wish I could cover there mouth to stop there screaming, I just hope Papyrus can't hear us talking, I hope EVERYONE can't hear us talk.
"I do! I just-...nevermind, you wouldn't understand" I said, "I won't understand what?" Frisk asked, "You just WON'T understand...I need some air..." I said walking out the kitchen.
Frisk rushed up to me and grabbed my sleeve. I looked over at them like they were crazy! They could have accidentally killed themselves doing that!
I yanked my hand away from them. They let go, "Sans...don't leave..." Frisk said. I stayed quiet. I could feel the eyes of Geno looking at me.
I couldn't take this tensity of the air. I opened the door and left without a word...just like I did that day...
Could you say this is another punishment? Another argument making me petty again? In history books, they say that history is important so we don't make the same mistakes again...have I not learned my lesson?
Have I learned not to run away? Not to isolate myself when I can't handle certain situations? This is bullshit really...
I didn't go too far away from the house...well- that's a lie, I was away from the whole town, just in a field of grass and flowers.
I really wish I had my cloak...that way I could feel smaller then I do now...I can't even get my emotions right!
I'm so extra...and so doubtful...I can't take this! I should stop worrying! I should stop caring about where I am!
I could hear the crunching of feet. I wonder who that might be. They stood behind me, before throwing something on me.
I looked behind me to see Geno...
Geno...
"Hey...I heard everything...so did your brother and...everyone in the house really..." Geno said sitting next to me.
I took whatever they put on my back...it was my cloak from last night...Geno handed my shoes as well. "You shouldn't go outside barefooted y' know, at least wear some slippers like me if you're too lazy!" Geno said.
I smirked at them before putting my cloak on and putting my shoes on as well.
We sat silently for a while. "...Been here before?" Geno asked, "No..." I replied. Geno hummed before crossing their legs and looking at me.
"Wanna talk about it?...your outburst?" Geno asked. An outburst?... Did Geno really see that as an outburst? I looked at them, "I just don't really wanna be here..." I told them.
"Why? You're never really told me why you don't wanna be here..." Geno said I scoffed, "It's not important," I told them, "It must be important if you don't wanna be in your home AU Reaper..." Geno said.
I guess they have a point, but I feel like they'll judge me for it... "I just had an argument with them...that's why I left, I didn't really plan to come back here," I told Geno.
Geno and I made eye contact. Geno's eyes look dreamy the more you stare into them...or maybe that's a symptom of puppy love.
"Reaper...please tell me everything that happened...for me? So I can make it better," Geno said.
I hate it when they say 'For me' because then I'm vulnerable...but I really don't want Geno to fix the problem...since it's my problem...that frankly, I'm too scared or stubborn to fix.
"...Well...It might sound petty, but...one day, when we woke up, a lot of the people in the village protested against us...my brother and I...my brother tried reasoning with them, but they called him such...awful things...I really felt like a bystander, I wish I could have done something...I wish I was the one taking the venom of the people, not my brother...he should never experience such things as I did...I was supposed to protect him...everyone said that he was fine, that everything was okay...but I know the struggle, and what happens when such occasions happen...I mean-...it even happened to me...a lot of people called me all sorts of thing...a lot of people singled me out, or used me, or tried scaring me away...when I thought people wanted me...it all turned out to be a lie to me...that's why I joined Nightmare in the first place...he told me that a lot of people will lie to me...but he would be honest...he said we were buddies...it might have been because I was oblivious, but I really felt he cared...he said he cared...I felt respected and important, but now...I know it was all a lie...I just, don't want Paps to feel that...and when I can't handle a situation, I always run away from it! From fear, from anger...it's the burden I have..." I told Geno...
I felt as if I was pouring a lot of my mind and soul onto Geno...maybe too much.
"Reaper...I'm so sorry, your brother should have never gone through that...and neither should of you!... I would never lie to you unless for a good purpose...but...really, I trust you...so now...I would never lie to you...either way, fights happen, that shouldn't be a reason to stay away from your home, and plus, I don't think they talk of that day anymore! So there no point in fretting over it! And Reaper...you don't have to protect everyone...you need to protect yourself once in a while..." Geno said.
I just folded my knees and buried my face in them. Geno hummed in sadness...maybe in pity.
They leaned there body on me. There skull on my back. I turned my head, still buried in my face, but I was able to see Geno's body. "Geno..." I said. Geno hummed, "Tell me...what happened to your AU...since I told you that much..." I said.
Geno sat up, and so did I.
"Well...I was a scientist in my AU...my father had died already, and Alphys had turned to Royal scientist. I was my dad's disciple, I was supposed to be the next Royal scientist after him, so we had our own small lab in the back of our house. Once my dad died, I was busy trying to find a way to bring him back...then...the last human fell...for some reason, I was the only one who could tell they were jumping from timeline to another timeline...everything they died, everything I did...would reset from back when the human saved...the huge sense of deja vu would always hit me...then I started to notice...that I'd been in a loop, ever since the human appearance, which was weird...so I started to talk to them more, to study them, I'd watch them, and saw them 'Save' as humans call it...I'd research this, so I could figure out a way to get my dad back...I found samples of Determination from another human that was determined and would donate some of there determination to my father before they had died...most of the determination was for a machine I had built, that was going to use the samples of determination, and rewind time so I could get my dad back...then the warning dreams started to come...I would always dream at night about the humans killing us...in till the human reset...and did so...they started killing everyone...my b-brother...my f-friends..everyone...so, of course, I stopped my research for my dad...and tried to figure out a way to stop the kid from there power that they were abusing...I figured out if I had determination of my own...and overpower their determination, I could stop them...so I injected DT into my marrow, and fought the human...of course with DT, it causes monsters to melt since their magic counterpart can't handle DT, so during the process, I lost my right eye...but I killed them, and I was sent to the save screen...but I couldn't do anything, I was stuck...the human had reset and killed the king, and erased the timeline...and came to the save screen...I attacked them of course, but it made no use, they couldn't die...so I kept them in a cage...of course later they would break out the cage, and reset again...this became routine...I would watch them kill everyone again...without me there...I could only watch, and once they took a break, I would fight them and put them in a cage again before they'd free themselves somehow and continue there run...the day you saw me cage Frisk when they decided to mock me and do a pacifist run...I was anrgy at them, but it would have been no use since we fight a lot...but now, I don't really think they're interested in that old timeline and more interested in other timelines, and exploring the multiverse...I'd like to do the same with you Reaper...now that I have a soul to stop my own body from dusting..." Geno said.
They've gone through a lot...I feel so dumb and self-centered now, but I'm happy that they want to explore the world with me...
"I'm...sort of over it now...but seeing Papyrus die...I can never get over..." Geno said, holding onto there red scarf of what once was Papyrus, "So I understand if you don't want to see your brother get hurt..." Geno said.
I smiled at them...knowing that we understand each other.
Geno stood up, "How about we get back, I heard Paps wanted to reap with you for old time sake..." Geno said, "Are you okay with that? Me reaping others?" I asked, "Pfft- You think I care about other people dying? It's your job, as long as you don't kill people before there time, I'm fine with it!" Geno said
I scoffed with a smile before chuckling. Geno let there hand out, as I took it as he pulled me up.
We started to walk back home, mostly in silents, nothing to really talk about. Once we did come back inside, Papyrus rushed over to me and hugged me. "Brother! Your back!" Papyrus said.
I chuckled, "Of course..." I said, Papyrus let me go, his eyes were full of tears, and his mouth was quivering, "I h-heard e-e-everything! And I-I-I thought y-you we-r-ren't coming b-b-ackkkkk!!!" Papyrus said, "I said I needed some air! I didn't say I was gonna be gone for another decade or two!" I said, over-exaggerating, I think- How long was I gone anyways? I'm not even sure myself...
Papyrus wiped his tears away, "Anyways brother! I was planning for us to do damage control! Like we used to do together," Papyrus said.
I looked back at Geno as he nodded with a smile. I looked back at Papyrus, "Sure, why not!" I said. Papyrus gasped then picked me up, "Alright then! LET'S GO!" Papyrus said.
Geno giggled as Papyrus carried me outside. Papyrus, able to open a portal by himself took us to a dark alleyway that leads to dark apartments...the place looked abandoned by most of society.
"Uhh- Pap...where are we?" I asked, "Where sinners, and people who were supposed to be dead lurk! They usually hide in dark and closed off areas! Something I learned in the few years!" Papyrus said.
Well that's good for him
Papyrus put me down to my feet. I could feel everyone living here, and hell, most are passed there time!
"Let's look around!" Papyrus said, walking in without a care. I was a bit uneasy but followed Papyrus.
Papyrus kept looking around as he walked. I could feel them all though. When Papyrus was about to take a left, I grabbed onto his sleeve as he looked down at me with question. "Uh- Paps, let's go right instead!" I said.
Paps shrugged and went right. Of course, I was taking Papyrus to where most of the sinners are. We then went straight, right, then another right, and finally took a left.
Papyrus and I found a door, as Papyrus opened it as we walked in. "I wonder where we are brother! What do you think we'll find?" Papyrus asked, "Probably some hidden toilet paper for 2x2x," I said.
"What? It's not even 2x2x yet!" Papyrus said I chuckled, 2x2x might need more toilet paper though...
We reached the highest floor and was welcomed with a row of doors, each had a small family of people who need to die.
"Okay! I'll take the left side, you take the right!" Papyrus said, I nodded. Of course, we barged in, it's just a thing we do.
For me killing everyone on my side was easy, probably it was easier for me to find them than Papyrus, and might be the urge to kill them so badly, and anything living in the room.
Once I was finished, Papyrus was in his last room, till two people ran out. "GET BACK HERE!" Papyrus said, running after them.
I followed Papyrus. The two of them split in two, in the dark city of apartments. Papyrus stopped in his tracks, "Gosh darn it..." Papyrus said, "I've even seen him before..." Papyrus said, "What do you mean?" I asked, "That man...he was the one to give me this deep crack in my skull..." Papyrus said.
My eyes went dark...
"Oh well...I'll get him another time..." Papyrus said.
Sadly I was already gone before he noticed I was gone. I had teleported near the man that was running before opening my wings to catch up with him.
I'm so glad there healed, now I have no problem flying. I flew as fast as I could to the man. The man seemed to have noticed I was on his tail, he looked worried...
THAT'S WHAT I LIKE TO SEE!!!
He ran for his life literally, but he wasn't fast enough. I had flown ahead of him and made a bone pop up in front of him, making him fall on the floor.
"N-No! Please! I don't want to die! H-Have mercy!" the man said. I chuckled before stepping on his stomach.
I could tell he was clinging tightly on life, "We all die someday!..." I said with a wide smile of enjoyment.
The man was chocking on breath before he stopped moving, and breathing...
I took my foot off of him.
I was about to walk back to Papyrus, who was probably taking care of the other one that ran, till I felt a negative source behind me.
I quickly summoned my scythe and threatened the person behind me, the scythe too there neck. It turned out to be Nightmare.
I growled at them at first...till I realized who it was. He had their hands up, giving up immediately. I lowered my scythe. "Nightmare? What are you doing here?" I asked, "I should ask you the same question, y' know since I know you don't like it here..." Nightmare said.
I huffed at him, "You lied to me..." I said. He sighed, before looking down, "I did...and I feel horrible for it..." he said, I could hear his voice chocking up.
I never have seen this side of Nightmare before, "I was selfish...I probably hurt someone you cared dearly about...for you to blow up like that...I really don't deserve your forgiveness...I was just desperate for someone to help my own needs...I was attached, and I really wanted to keep you as a friend...but instead, we're not...and you figured out the truth... as I told you...you see...I wasn't fully lying..." Nightmare said, clenching onto his arm, looking at me.
Was he serious?...
"I just...wanted to apologies...for manipulating you for my own selfish reason...I really do respect you, and I'm grateful to have known you...I really thought we were a team..." Nightmare said.
I sighed, "I thought we were a team too, but teammates don't lie to each other...that can cause some long karma..." Reaper said, thinking back to Empireverse Dream...
"I know...now that I think about it...anyway, I better get going, I have plans to get to..." Nightmare said, turning around, "Wait- Nightmare..." I called out.
Nightmare turned to me, "Yes?" he asked, "...If you need any help, you can come to me...but of course, it's first come first serve, depending on what the star dorks want me to do...since they're giving me mercy..." I told me.
He grinned...the same grin ever since we met, "I'll keep that in mind..." Nightmare said, before opening a portal before leaving.
I smirked as he left...
"I guess Papyrus is worried about me now...I better take a shortcut..." I said to myself, before teleporting to where Papyrus was last, before walking to find him.
