Jimin
when he is mad at you
Jimin was mad at you for reasons unknown to you. He had been in a funk the whole entire day and you decided to not push his buttons and just give him some space and time. You were around him occasionally but you didn't make an effort to converse much. Most likely he was stressed and just needed to steam off some air. It was very unlike him to be this grumpy, but he was only human too, so you tried to be as understanding as you could even though he was really getting on your nerves. You caught him glaring at you a couple times and when you went to ask whether he was mad at you or something, he'd just shrug his shoulders, keeping quiet. You hoped that after the concert he would be in a better mood. Usually the adrenaline rush on stage washed all his stress away.
But not this time.
You quickly noticed that you were his particular problem. He was all smiles and sunshine around the others but as soon as his eyes landed on you, his face fell and a deep frown formed on his forehead, his eyes darkening. You felt a sting in your heart as he looked at you like that. On your way back home, you quietly sat apart from each other in the car. You couldn't help but keep glancing at him, but he had turned away from you, looking out of the window. When you arrived home, Jimin went ahead unlocking the front door and entering the house without looking back. Quietly following him inside, you closed the door behind you. He directly went upstairs. You stayed downstairs, contemplating whether you should just straight forward ask him what the deal was.
For a moment you were tempted to text Taehyung and ask for advice but you decided against it. You wanted Jimin himself to tell you what was wrong. Since when couldn't you guys talk about your problems ? Eventually you turned the lights out downstairs, locked the front door and went upstairs to your bedroom. You heard the shower running in the bathroom. As per usual Jimin had dumped all of his things on your bed and as per usual you went to put them away, hanging up his jacket, piling his dirty clothes on the floor, to later put in the laundry. Then you went to change into your pajamas. Normally you would grab one of Jimin's shirts that he wore during the day, but this time you weren't too sure whether he would like that very much. So instead you threw on some shorts and a silk sleeping blouse. You left the room to get ready for bed in the guest bathroom, since you didn't want to bother Jimin.
When you returned to the bedroom, Jimin was slipping on a shirt. He didn't spare you a glance as he crawled into bed. You turned off the main lights, so that only your night stand lamp was illuminating the dark. You felt very miserable as you slowly headed to the bed. Unsure of what to do, you sat on the edge of the bed. Jimin turned his back to you, shifting as far away from you as possible. You felt a pang of pain in your heart as he did that and you felt something inside you break. He had no right to treat you like this. If he didn't want to be in your presence than you would leave. Grabbing your pillow, you walked out of the room, shutting the door behind you.
Jimin felt his chest tighten when you left. He hadn't expected that you would actually leave. Even though he was still mad at you for something inconsiderate you had said yesterday, he suddenly felt heavy hearted. Laying on his back he turned his head to the empty space beside him. A hollow feeling spread inside of him, weighing him down. He was constantly reminding himself that he had the right to be angry with you but the more he laid in bed alone, the more miserable did he feel. He felt like a piece of shit for having made you feel unwanted. No matter what the hell you ever did, he would never be able to not want you. You were way too precious to him. The guilt was eating away at him, and he felt a lump form in his throat. Two hours had passed since you had left the room, and he had been tossing and turning unable to fall asleep.
You had curled up on the couch in the living room and draped the blanket on the couch over your body. As hard as you tried, you couldn't fall asleep. You closed your eyes and lingered in the cold darkness.
Eventually Jimin couldn't help but crawl out of bed. He grabbed the heavy duvet off the bed and quietly made his way downstairs. When he reached the living room, he saw your small figure curled on top of the couch.
You heard his footsteps as he walked down the stairs and you couldn't help but feel hopeful that he came to you. Keeping your eyes shut tightly, you pretended to be asleep.
Jimin climbed onto the couch, squeezing himself behind you before he draped the heavy duvet over the both of you, wrapping his arms tightly around your chest. Your heart filled with warmth and for a second you felt like crying because of how relieved you felt. He nuzzled his head in your neck, breathing in your scent, his hot breath on your skin. You realized just then that you couldn't imagine life without him anymore. There was no alternate life that could make you as happy as this one. Jimin on the other hand felt his fingers shaking and eyes filling with tears. All of a sudden he felt overwhelmed with all of these feelings bottled up in his chest. He came to the realization that he loved you too deeply to ever be able to let go of you. Imagining a life in which he didn't fall asleep next you, didn't wake up seeing your sleepy face, didn't get to hold you, didn't hear your voice - such life seemed so dull and meaningless to him that he felt sick to his stomach.
You felt hot tears on your neck and knew he was crying. Turning in his arms, you connected your lips, holding his face firmly in your hands.
"I am sorry" you told him, even though you still didn't know what you had done. You would apologize a million times if that was what he wanted.
"Jagi, I am sorry" he whispered, his voice cracking. He softly pecked your lips a couple times, your breaths mixing with each other.
Then the both of you talked about why you guys had ended up in this situation. Jimin admitted that what you had said yesterday had hurt his feelings and you told him that you had no ill intentions when you had said it but you apologized understanding how he must have received it. Jimin apologized for giving you the cold shoulder all day long, admitting to haven acted childishly. Soon enough your heart felt talk turned into the both of you pouring your hearts out to each other, telling each other how much you loved one another. Occasionally the emotions rose very high, leading to a heated make out session, leaving you breathless. Eventually you fell asleep, limbs tangled together.
