As Killer, Dust, and Horror went to go stalk Dream they talked while they had time.
"So, Killer! When this is over, you mind stealing chocolate for me, if I win a bet?" Horror asked me, "What kind of bet?" I asked curiously, "Guys, focus on this mission, I don't feel like getting my spine broken by Nightmare again..." Dust told us, "Oh, come on, it's only when the mission is over! We can just discuses the bet now, and be serious when we make the deal official!" Horror said to Dust.
"Yeah, we're just discussing it, that's all!" I said trying to persuaded Dust. He sighed and rolled his eyes while crossing his arms, "Fine, I don't care anymore!" Dust said as we continued to walk in the forest.
"So, what's this bet you were talking about?" I asked, "If Dream figures out we were stalking him, you owe me a bar a chocolate, stolen by Cross, if Dream doesn't figure out, then I'll steal the chocolate bar! Deal?" Horror asked me, "No way! You'd make Dream figure us out on purpose so you can get a free chocolate bar!" I said seeing through his trick, "Fine, I promise I won't let him catch us on purpose" Horror said, "So...do we have a deal?" he said with his hand out expecting a handshake of approval
"Fine! I have good luck anyways!" I said grabbing his hand and shaking as he chuckled, "Shh! Quiet!" Dust said as we stopped talking. We saw a stone house with Dream talking to Khloe, we crouched and silently sneaked closer to hear what they were talking about.
"-So that's why you wanted to help him..." Khole said, "Yup, with him we can win this war easily" Dream said smirking evilly, "But Dream...if Reaper figures out that we're using him for war...what do you think he'll do?" Khole asked with a worried look, "He won't figure out, he's too naive to understand that! And if he was supposedly to figure out, we'll kill him before he gets the chance to do something about it!" Dream said.
"Dream, that's insane, it's not what the Sun Empire is about! We can't use a child for war! It's too risky, if he figures out the truth he can betray us, and kill us! It's better if he chooses what side he is on, explain to him what is happening, and I'm sure he'll understand and still be on our side...but we can't just leave him in the dark and use him Dream! That's just....it will leave a scar on our Empire and on him..." Khole explained
"No! There is a chance he will join my brother and I don't want my brother to have him!...I'll explain to Reaper what the war is about and tell him it's important that he sticks with us no matter what, he won't have a chose...we'll wait till he is older before we decide to attack the Moon Empire, by that time we will have more knights on our side and more guards to help out. If Reaper is attach to us, we will have his loyalty, and he can't betray us...we just have to be patient" Dream said, "I'm going inside to have lunch, wait for Ink and Reaper to come back and train with Reaper so he can get used to using his powers" Dream said as he walked into the stone house.
Khole sighed and sat on the grass as she looked at the dead footprints all around the grass. She moved her hand as green magic surrounded her hand as the grass was revived and turned green as she sighed again. "I hope that Reaper will have mercy on us...it's only a matter of time before he figures out..." Khole said looking at the green grass.
Dust signaled us to walk away slowly and quietly as we followed him quietly till we were far away from the stone house.
"Oh my god!" Horror said as he started to panic, "That child going to kill us!" Horror said as he started to hyperventilate, "Horror calm down!" Dust said, "Nightmare won't let that happen Horror! It will be fine!" I told him. He just kept panicking, Dust then suddenly hugged Horror as Horror started to calm down. "Everything will be fine Horror, calm down..." Dust said as Horror hugged Dust back.
I had a small smile on my face as they stopped hugging, "Stop panicking, you wimp" Dust told Horror as Horror laughed, "Sorry, I just had a very bad thought in my head..." Horror said as his smile faded away, "Well that bad thought can go suck a dick, because that bad thoughts not going to happen...whatever it was" Dust said, "Hehe, right, what was I thinking?" Horror said smiling again.
"Anyways, we need to tell Nightmare the news...and he won't be happy" Dust said, "What about Cross and the others?" I asked, "Oh right, what's taking them so long?" Dust asked, "Should we go looking for them?" Horror asked, "Sure, they may need some help" Dust said as we started to walk in the direction Cross, Error, and Fell had gone.
Dust, Killer, and Horror went to go find Cross, Error, and Fell even though they were trapped in a painted dome.
"Cross what do we do?!" Fell asked me, "I don't know, Error usually deals with this stuff!" I replied, "Oh, shut up!" Error said as we started to attack the inside of the dome. Nothing seemed to be working as we kept on using our energy and magic to break the dome open.
After a while we stopped since we were out of magic to use. We were tired as we sat on the ground breathing heavily using most of the limited air we had. "Oh, god I'm so tired!" Fell said as he laid on the dirt. "...W-wait...it's dirt..." Error said, "Yeah...so what?" I asked, "We can dig our way out!" Error said, Fell sat up quickly at the idea, "Do any of us have magic to use?" Fell asked, "Nah, I'm still tired..." I said, "Kinda, but not much..." Error said, "I don't have a lot either" Fell said.
We all sighed and just kept on sitting there, I laid down and put my hands in my pockets. I felt something rectangular in my pocket as I pulled it out and it was chocolate. "Do ya'll want something to eat?" I asked, Error and Fell nodded as I opened the chocolate bar and split it into three parts.
We ate our three parts, but it wasn't enough to try and digging. We sat there, waiting, and waiting, and waiting...It felt like HOURS
Suddenly we heard crunching, sounded like footsteps. Fell, Error and I stood up, ready for a fight in till we heard a voice. "What's this dome doing here?" It sounded like Dust, "Dust? DUST WE'RE IN HERE!" I screamed banging on the dome, Error and Fell did the same, "What are you doing in there?" Killer asked, Error, Fell, and I started to try and explain at the same time, "WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!?" Horror said, "Ink trapped us in here!" I said, "Heh, losers" Killer muffled under his breath.
"Whatever! Do you think you can dig a hole and get us out of here?!" Error said, "Sure thing!" Dust said, as the sound of magic was aimed at the edge of the dome as they started to dig a hole for us.
Error, Fell, and I started to dig with our hands, as we kept on digging. It was after a while till we made a hole, as fresh air came bursting in our dome, Fell went first, then Error, and then me as we crawled out covered in dirt. We laid on the ground, breathing in the fresh air, "FINALLY OUT OF THE DOME THAT SMELLED OF BUTT!" Fell said as we laughed.
"Well, anyways, I'm guessing you don't have the kid?" Dust said, "Nah, we don't, Ink was there, and the kid knew how to dodge and attack, but only a little, it's like he's never used his powers" Error explained, "Probably because he doesn't need to since he can kill anything with one touch" Dust said, "Well yeah, but you should still know how to use other magic, then just a deathly touch" Error said, "Whatever, we need to get the child and return to Nightmare" I said, "But, if we go there we'll get our butts kicked! We don't stand a chances" Killer said, "I refuse to go back in till this mission is finish, we'll retreat once it's necessary, but for now, we're not welcome in the castle till we have the child...unless we all have a death wish?" I said everyone looked to the side.
"Fine, it's not my fault if we die..." Dust said, Horror gave a worried looked but ignored it. "...Come, we'll show you the way!" Killer said as he lead us.
Ink and Reaper had already got to the house and saw Khole there waiting for them, "Ah, Khole, are we late for lunch?" Ink asked, "No, Dream just went inside for lunch, Dream instructed me to train Reaper some more while they were gone" Khole said as I smiled, "Cool! I've kinda gotten the hand of using magic! Hey Khole, I can fly!" I said smiling, "Really?" Khole asked, "Yeah! Look!" I said as I opened my wings and flapped them so I'd be pushed off the ground, as I kept flapping and going higher and higher in the sky, "WOAH AMAZING REAPER!" Khole said, I smiled at the compliment as I came back down to the ground as I hid my wings again.
"Your learning so quickly! It warms my heart to see you grow" Khole said with a sweet smile, I felt so happy to please everyone. "Khole, we need to talk" Ink said, "We do. I was hoping I could talk to you privately" Khole said with a serious face, "Okay then, Reaper, do you think you can go inside for a while, you must be tired from running and stuff, go take a break, we'll call you over when it's time to train some more" Ink said as I nodded and walked in the house.
Ink and Khole stood there in silents waiting for Reaper to get inside.
"So...what did you want to talk about?" I asked, "It's about Dream...they said that they were going to use Reaper for war...I'm afraid that Reaper will find out and betray us...even if he's a bit older and understands more, I'm still scared that he will go on the wrong path..." Khole said looking to the side as her ears drooped down. "I didn't know about this..." I said, "That's why I'm talking to us about this...he trust you more then anything...I just hope that he'll listen to you..." Khole said.
"What do you think I should say to Dream?" I asked, "I want Reaper to have a chose...to choose his own path...I want you to let Dream explain the war and what has happened in the past and let Reaper decide if he want's too stay with us, I want Reaper to have the chose to join this war...I don't want this WAR to be his fate..." Khole said. I sighed, "I'll see what I can do, but Dream is stubborn so I don't think I can do much..." I said, "I know the friendly and nice Dream is just a mask, I don't think I have much luck on making the serious, stubborn Dream listen to me...but I'll try either way" I said with determination, Khole smiled, "Thank you Ink! Now what was it that you wanted to talk about?" Khole asked me.
I just remembered about the Moon knights!
"Khole! Tell everyone to be on guard! I saw some of Nightmare knights close by!" I said as Khole gave a worried looked at we both ran inside.
"Oh, hey Ink!" Outer said, "Everyone! Nightmare knights are close by!" I said as everyone stopped what they were doing. "What? Who's Nightmare?" Reaper asked, "You don't need to concern yourself with that sweetie! Come with me to your room!" Khole said leading Reaper to his room.
"Why is Nightmare knights out near us?" Dream asked, "They're here to take Reaper away from us! Orders by Nightmare!" I told Dream. His eyes were shocked with worried, "We can't let them take Reaper!" Dream said, "Come on! We'll send them back to where they came from!" Dream said as Outer, Fresh, Dream, Blue, and I went outside awaiting there arrival.
Khole opened the closet and told me to hide in there.
"Why? What's wrong?" I asked, "I'll explain later! Right now I need you to do me a big favor! I need you to stay quiet as a mouse and to NEVER leave the closet till I come to get you! Okay! Your in grave danger, so you need to stay quiet or you'll die okay?!" Khole said making me scared I nodded out of fear, "Okay! I'll be in the room with you, if you hear anything and I mean ANYTHING, YOU WILL NOT LEAVE THIS SPOT TILL I TELL YOU IT'S OKAY, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!" Khole yelled making me more scared as I nodded frantically, "Good, now stay quiet as a mouse, NO MATTER WHAT!" Khole said as she closed the closet leaving me in the dark as she stood near the door in a fighting stance getting ready for anything.
I was scared as I curled up in a ball, I wanted to cry, what did I do wrong for Khole to scream at me? I covered my mouth trying to stay quiet as tears fell down my face. I felt like I did something wrong, I felt like crying loudly, but Khole would just get angry at me.
I waited, crying quietly waiting for Khole to tell me to get out of the closet.
As Killer lead everyone to the stone house, they saw everyone out the house expecting them as the knights got into a fighting stance.
"STAY AWAY FROM US!" Dream told us, "Just give us the child and we'll be on our way!" Cross said, "Never!" Ink said, "I didn't wanted it to be this way, but it has to be" Cross said as all the knights started to attack the Sun Empire, while Reaper heard everything, the sound of magic being summoned and there movement, it only made Reaper cry more as Khole waited at the door for one of the Moon knights to come in and try to steal Reaper...but she refuse for that to happen.
She doesn't want Reaper to go down the wrong path...and she'll do anything she can to make sure that doesn't happen.
