Tris pov:
I open my eyes tiredly and am immediately met with a piercing light.
What the- Wait. Oh no!
" Tobias get up! Come on Tobias! We are going to be in so much trouble!" I say shaking him awake, but he doesn't budge.
" Tobias? TOBIAS?! Are you okay? Oh my gosh!" I say leaning over him scared of what is wrong with him.
" I have to get help!" I say to myself pulling away from him only to have his hand push the back of my head so that our lips are smashed together.
I pull away and scream " Tobias don't ever do that to me again!" He just chuckles and sits up. He looks around his surrounding confused to where he is, but then seems to remember last night.
" Come on Tobias! We have to go. I have to be at the studio at 11:00 a.m." I say putting my guitar back in its hiding spot. " So? What's the problem though?" He asks. I look at the watch on my arm and say " It's 11:05."
"Oh." He says defeated.
We run back to my penthouse and go inside to find all of our friends sitting on my couch chatting.
"Oooh where did you guys go to last night?" Zeke asks wiggling his eyebrows. I roll my eyes and walk to my bedroom and as Tobias is about to enter I slam the door in his face. I hear the guys laughing at him and Christina says "Hey, this is girls business." And walks in the door and shuts it behind her. "Okay, time to get ready!" She says happily with makeup bag in hand.
"Oh no way Christina, you are not dressing me up as a doll today. I'm just going to the studio."
" You should always look your best." She retorts. I sigh and say " I'm not getting out of this am I?" She shakes her head and I throw my hands up in defeat and say " fine." She shrieks and gets to work.
In the end I am a whitish- creamy long dress, my hair is in loose curls. For my makeup, my skin tone is very even, my eyeshadow is a gold shimmery color that really helps bring more of the blue out my blue-gray eyes, I have a thick, black cat eye, and my eyelashes bring the look all together with thick, but separated eyelashes that look fake, lastly my lipstick is from Clinique an it is called Baby Baby, it is a very subtle corral color.
I sigh in relief and say "Thank you Christina."
"Don't mention it, that's what besties are for!" She says and we hug.
"So are you and Four officially back together again?" She asks.
I think back to everything that happened last night. It was great, but I give her my honest answer. "I don't know. He hasn't necessarily asked me out." I say wishing I could say different.
"Don't worry he will. You guys are still practically together anyway." She says making me feel a little better.
I open the door and want to immediately go back in my room, because everyone is arguing about something. It must be A pretty intense argument, because Tobias has Zeke pinned down to the ground, Marlene and Shauna and screaming loudly at each other and Uriah is rocking back and forth in a corner.
"What's going on?!" I scream getting everyone's attention. Uriah looks at me and says "Your manger called and asked why you weren't at the studio and we explained that something came up and that you would be there soon, then he said that one of us could come with you. Now we are arguing who gets to go." He says.
"Well that's an obvious choice, me!" Christina says.
"What? No way!" Tobias says. Zeke takes this distraction to his advantage and pushes Tobias off of him.
Zeke jumps up and says "No, I get to go!" Which sends the whole room into chaos and All of the girls start arguing, Uriah and Zeke start beating each other up and Tobias just stands in the middle of the room smirking. I nod my head towards the door and we walk out closing the door quietly. "Idiots" Tobias murmurs. "How long do you think it will take them to figure out we already left?" I ask. "Ehh, probably 20 minutes." we laugh and start driving to the studio.
I put my headphones on as I lounge in my seat at the back of the limo.
Like old times, Tobias takes one of my earphones out of my ears and listens, but I say "Hey, your not supposed to listen to this! I haven't released it yet!" He gives me puppy dog eyes and I can't resist, so I roll my eyes and put it over the speakers in the limo.
" Sing with it too!" He says. I sigh and the song starts.

We ended up having a dance party to the song. We arrive and literally fall out of the car laughing at our little performance.
We walk in the building and and I go up to the studio and Max is standing there waiting there obviously annoyed that I'm late. "Tris you are very late and we have a lot of work to do today! We are recording your whole album today! I have chosen quite a bit of people to be featured in the majority of your songs." He says. I nod my head as I go into the booth while Four and Max sit in the chairs in front of the sound booth.
In the booth I am excited to see that the Foxes will be featured in one of my songs. We start singing 'Clarity'.

Once we finish, two people walk in and I feel like I am going to pass out. First Big Sean, someone who I have grown to be good friends with, and then IGGY AZALEA!
I look at Tobias and see his eyes are popping out of his head.
He runs in the recording booth and wraps an arm around my shoulders and holds his hand out and says "Hi I'm Four, Tris's boyfriend."
He said boyfriend! YES!!!! I have a mental happy dance in my head. Iggy shakes his hand and laughs "He's cute." Iggy and I laugh and then Big Sean starts slowly creeping up on Four and he starts sinking back. "So your Tris's boyfriend, you better not hurt her, or else." He says. "Yes Mr. Big Sean."
Then Big Sean brings him into a bone-crushing hug. We laugh and Four goes back to the sound booth. We starts the song that I think will be my biggest hit.

Then I almost wanted to laugh because our answer was sitting right in front of us.
"Four can do it." Tobias smiled at me when he heard his name and Max asked hesitantly "can you sing?"
I answer for him "can he sing? Pft he's amazing!" I say. "Okay well, he needs to listen to it a few times and then he can try." Max says still a bit hesitant. After a couple of listens, he joins me in the recording booth and stands in front of the mic besides me. We slide our headphones into place and begin.

When the song ends I can't handle everyone staring at me so I take off my headphones and run out of the room as fast as I can. I hear Tobias yelling my name as he chases me.
I run out of the building and back into the woods. The hill I go to all the time is actually just a little ways past the trees. I get to the top of the hill and fall to my knees and cry for hours and hours. I can feel the makeup getting everywhere so I go down to the lake and wash it all off of my face.
I take off my shoes, which are killing my feet, and walk through the woods back to my penthouse, barefoot.
I walk through the door where Tobias has his head in his hands and the group is sitting quietly. They turn their attention towards me and are filled with relief. They ask me questions, but I simply walk slowly back to my room as if I can't hear a word they are saying.
"Tris" Christina cries. They scream my name as I just walk past them and shut my door. I walk Into my bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. My eyes are red and watery and I look deadly pale especially without my makeup.
My curls have fallen out into small messy waves.
I walk into my big closet that is practically empty and silently cry.
In that moment all I can think is
Why couldn't it have been me?
