Jake POV
When I saw my baby brother breaking down at the thought of losing me, I couldn't hold back anymore. Seeing him so broken like that, it tore at my heart. He has always been the stronger twin so I knew my condition must have been hard on him. He and I have been close, granted Len and I have been close but Den and I, we had a special relationship.
Nothing like me and dad though, but we had a different kind of closeness. When dad walked into the room and hugged me, that is when I really lost it. I never seen my dad like that, and it worried me because I didn't want him to have my little siblings just yet, so I masked my pain for his sake.
When he told me, Colson has been here daily and that he was in the waiting room, I was complicating on whether or not to see him. Stone whimpered a heart-breaking whimper when we heard he was here. I know Stone is still in so much pain and so am I. Being called a freak for something that you can't control that is part of you, it hurts. A knock on the door brought me from my thoughts and I sighed.
"Come in." I said and the door opened slowly and in walked Colson. He looked amazing, his hair styled, no facial hair and his eyes sparkled. He smiled a breath-taking smile when he saw me awake and sat down in the chair next to the bed.
"Hi Jake." He said and I felt my body getting warmer just by those two words.
"Hi Colson." I replied but without any emotion. I can't let him see the effect he has on me, not when I know how he truly feels about me.
"How are you feeling?" he asked cautiously avoiding direct eye contact and that irked me, being raised by my dad has it burned in my head that you always make eye contact with the person you are talking to.
"Weak and tired." I answered not really knowing what to say.
"I can understand that, I haven't been feeling that great either, but I know why. Ok Jake, I gotta be honest. Your father..."

"Ok tell me, we'll talk about everything you just said after your finished. I don't want to go on a million rabbit trails to get back to the main topic of conversation." I said and he took a deep breath and closed his eyes and when he opened them, he had tears falling on his beautiful cheeks.
"My wife, when the twins were born, the moment I saw them I knew they weren't mine. They were mixed and she told me that she got drunk one night when I went out of town to see my parents and a friend of ours came over and well, they slept together, and she got pregnant. She wasn't sure who the father was, and she was hoping when they were born, they would be white, but they aren't, they are white and Hispanic so needless to say, I'm in the process of divorcing her. "What are you saying Colson?" I asked because I need to know what he meant.

Don't think that I forgive you though, it's going to take time for me to forgive and trust you. It is going to take a lot of work on your part for both of us to forgive you and to trust you. The mate bond though will make me and him to want to be with you, to mate with you, to mark you to make you ours, that is beyond my control, but I can control on forgiving and trusting you. I'm sorry about your wife truly I am. I have hoped you were happy I really did. I didn't want you to be unhappy, I wanted you to live a long happy life even if it wasn't with me. As long as you were happy that is all that mattered to me. Can I ask for one thing?" He nodded his head and smiled a small smile at me.
"Can I kiss those amazing full looking lips of yours?" I asked hoping to be able to taste what he tastes like. He didn't say anything, he just got off the chair and sat close to me on the bed and took my hand and put his other hand behind my neck and leaned in and pulled me toward him. When his lips touched mine, I felt my whole-body light up and relax the moment I felt them on mine. The kiss was soft and sweet and loving.
