NOPI Chapter 67
Charles' POV
Napalunok na ako nang sagutin na ni Sephine ang tawag ko after ng ilang segundong pagri-ring nito.
"Charles, you--" agad ko na siyang inunuhan
"I know, I know. You said you can handle it. I'm sorry. I really do trust you. Pero.."
"Pero ano?" tanong niya kaya naman tinignan ko na ang PC ko't humiga na sa kama ko
The others were heading to the cafeteria to buy something to eat while buying something for me as well. As for me, I plan to stay inside the dorms for awhile.
Sa tingin ko, hindi appropriate na magpikita't lalabas ako habang kami pa ang topic ng buong school. It's better to be safe than sorry.
"I know you're not going to do anything regarding the thread" sagot ko dahilan kung bakit tumahimik sa kabilang linya
Sa bawat segundong katahimikan, para bang tinutusok ng karayom ang puso ko.
Was she really angry? Ayaw niya ba sa ginawa ko? Was it because she told me she could handle it and to trust her? Or was it because I told everyone about our relationship? Hindi ko ba dapat ginawa 'yon?
"Seph, I really do trust you. I just can't bear to let you face all those insults on your own. Kung may taong kailangang insultuhin dito, ako dapat 'yon Seph. I was the one who chased after you, made my boys follow you around and asked for your cousins assistance in order to be with you. It was my fault.. I.. I just felt so guilty that I thought that I had to make a move, i had to do something," tuloy tuloy kong sabi pero tahimik pa rin sa kabilang linya
Nasira na ang mukha ko.
"Seph, please? Kung gusto mo, pwede ko namang idelete 'yung thread ko" mahina kong sabi pero wala paring nagsalita
Hindi ko na sinubukan pang magsalita't hinintay nalang na magsalita siya.
"I'm hanging up" nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sagot niya't agad na tinignan ang screen ng phone ko
When I saw that the call had ended, I was speechless and I immediately held onto my chest.
Fck.
Dahil nakahiga na ako sa kama ko ay pumikit na ako't binitawan na ang phone ko.
Because of the overwhelming fatigue, my head began to ache. But the moment I closed my eyes, I was unable to sleep.
When I remembered Sephine's dejected voice, my heart ached again.
Last night, I didn't sleep a wink after composing my post in the School Forum. Matagal tagal ko ring pinag-isipan kung ipo-post ko ang thread na ginawa ko.
Last night, nakaupo lang ako sa harapan ng laptop ko throughout the whole night at hindi ko maibibilang ang mga naiisip ko kagabi na nakaikot lang kay Sephine. I kept on wondering if she had seen those vicious comments on the forum thread, whether she was crying, feeling sad or feeling hurt.. or whether she was okay and already falling asleep.
"I can handle it. Don't worry too much and just trust me,"
After kong marinig ang mga confident niyang mga salita, hindi ko nakayanang tawagan sila pagkatapos.
Countless thoughts about Sephine's feelings kept on muddling my mind the entire night and by time I realized it, it was already four in the morning, so after ng ilang minutong pagiisip ay ipinost ko na ang thread ko and then went to take a nap for a few hours.
After waking up at 6, after taking a bath and brushing my teeth, the moment I opened my laptop and saw the School Forum..
My post was at the very top.

Napamulat na ako ng mga mata ko nang makaamoy ako ng mabangong luto.
Someone's cooking? I thought my brothers would bring some dishes from the cafeteria?
Bumangon na ko't lumabas ng room saka dumiretso sa kusina.
What I saw wasn't even a part of my imagination.
An angel. There's an angel in the kitchen.
The angel's wearing a blue apron - my apron, holding a spatula, humming a tune and was smiling..
It's her. Sephine's cooking something in our dorm room's kitchen and the guys were just watching her.
"Ah, hubby's here~" sabi ni Ed dahilan kung bakit sila napatingin sa akin
The moment my eyes met Sephine's black orbs, I was speechless.
"Can you guys.. leave us for a moment?" tanong ni Sephine dahilan kung bakit ako nagising sa pagde-day dream
On cue nama'y nagreklamo ang mga barkada.
"Eyyy~ Mauubos ni hubby ang luto mo, Seph!" - Ed
"I know right?! He's the King of Jealousy after all!" - Ken
"And selfish, right? He'll finish them all!" - Rico
Dadagdagan pa sana ni Rod ang mga ipinangsisigaw nila pero agad ko na siyang sinamaan ng tingin dahilan kung bakit siya napalunok.
"Ahehe, we'll leave. We'll leave, okay?" sabay hila ni Rod sa ibang boys saka sila lumabas ng kusina't isinara na ang pintuan
Nang makalabas na sila ay hinarap ko na kaagad si Seph na sa kasalukuyan ay naglalakad na papunta sa akin.
"Seph, I'm sorry, I--"
Napanganga ako nang bigla niyang isabit ang mga kamay niya sa leeg ko't hinila... at hinalikan sa labi.
"..............." - me
"Stupid Charles. I thought you were smart? Bakit ba hindi mo ako pinapatapos sa pagsasalita at agad nang gumagawa ng iba't ibang conclusion?" tanong niya kaya naman hindi pa ako nakapagsalita
Lumapit naman siya ulit saka ako hinalikan sa noo.
".............."
"Stupid, stupid Charles. Bakit ba negative lahat ng naisip mo ha? Hindi ba pwedeng dahil sobrang na-move ako sa ginawa mo eh hindi ako nakasagot?" tanong niya ulit kaya naman hindi pa rin ako nakapagsalita
This time, she kissed me on the tip of my nose and smiled.
"I can't believe you did that just for me. Hearing your apologetic voice, I just couldn't help it and made my way here" sagot niya
"Then.. you're not angry at me but felt moved instead?" tanong ko't agad namang siyang tumango
"When I arrived with the others, they told me you were asleep, probably because you were busy deciding whether to post the thread or not up until 4am. I wanted to do something for you, so nagdecide akong magluto" sagot niya kaya naman napangiti na ako
"Thanks, Seph"
"No, thank you. Thank you, Charles. No one has been this nice to me. You're.. you're so unbelievable" sabi niya't unexpectedly.. a tear dropped from her right eye which shocked me
This time ako na ang humalik sakanya. Pero sa kanang mata niya lang.
Soft little and quick kisses.
"Why are you crying so suddenly?" bulong ko't agad naman siyang natawa
"Maniniwala ka ba kapag sinabi kong tears of joy 'to? How could you shower me with so much love and affection? It's overwhelming me to the point of tearing up" tanong niya kaya naman napangiti na ako
"You're mine and I'm yours. As long as you love me, I would pamper you to the ends of the earth. I was reflecting about us lately and I thought that maybe I had to go through the pain of losing someone important to me.. in order to meet someone new"
"My sister.. I think she led you to me instead of leading me to you. You.. You're the most precious blessing I have ever received in my whole life, Seph. I'm only nice.. to you" dagdag ko
"I love you, Charles" sabi niya't agad na akong niyakap kaya naman niyakap ko na din siya, burrying my face on her neck and shoulder.. making sure to inhale her sweet strawberry scent
"I love you too, Sephine"
