It was a quiet night in Gotham. It usually signified the calm before the storm, someone out there was planning something, and everyone seemed to know it. "Who do you think is behind this grand scheme?" Dick asked as Bruce was looking over security footage on the cameras.
"Could be anyone." Bruce replied.
"By the way, where's Damian?" Dick asked, noticing that the little terror was not present.
"... On a date.." Bruce said.
"Seriously? A date?" Dick asked and Bruce nodded.
"A classmate asked him to go to the Gotham fair with him." Bruce said.
"Did you check her background?" Dick asked.
"No, I trust Damian and his choices." Bruce said.
"Damian already did a check on her?" Dick asked.
"Yes." Bruce said.
"Of course he did." Dick sighed. "What'd he find out?" Dick asked.
"Nothing unusual. Mom was born in France, Dad's from Italy. They both moved here for work. No siblings, she speaks French, Italian, and English. Above average grades, spends a lot of time at the movies, and arcades. Middle class lifestyle. Gained a scholar ship to attend Gotham Academy." Bruce said pulling up the file.
"Wow, she's cute." Dick said, "You know, for a 12 year old." he said.
"Of course." Bruce said.

"Dami, you don't have to." I said as we walked over to the booth.
"I refuse to believe it's that hard to pop balloons with a dart, for a simple bear." Damian said and put down 2 tickets and was given 3 darts.
"Good Luck!" The old man said smiling and stepped aside.
Damian, being who he is, easily popped 3 balloons. "Wow." I said.
"Congratulations!" The old man said and gave me one of the bigger bears. "You're a lucky girl." he whispered to me and I smiled at him.
"Thanks.." I said embarrassed.
We walked to the cotton candy cart, and I bought the cotton candy and we found an empty bench to eat it on. "Thank you for the bear." I said smiling at Damian.
"No problem, it was pretty easy." Damian replied eating his cotton candy.
We spent the rest of the date walking around, playing games, and talking.
He walked me home that night and I thanked him.

"Did you do it?" I turned to see a hooded figure.
"Yeah, got it." I said and brought out my phone. "Uploading the virus onto his phone was the easy part, keeping him from figuring it out, is the hard part." I said putting my phone on the table and crossing my arms.
"Your employer will be very pleased." He said.
"Whatever." I said and held out my hand.
"Yes, yes. You're reward." He said and gave me an orange envelope. I opened it and saw bundles of $100's.
"What's my next task?" I asked.
"An ambush, for the little bird. And you, are the bait." He said to me.
"Fine, when?" I asked.
"In 2 weeks." He said and I nodded. He was gone in an instant and I sighed and turned the lights on and looked at a picture of my mom and dad.
"I'll get enough money... I swear it... stay strong mom..." I whispered.
"I'm home!" I heard from downstairs.
"In my room dad!" I yelled.
"I bought dinner!" He yelled.
"Coming!" I said and hurried downstairs and saw him with a bag from McDonalds.
"Did you get me my favorite?" I asked.
"Yup, a (fav McDonalds meal)." he said.
"How's mom?" I asked.
"She's doing well. Don't worry.." Dad said and kissed my head.
"Yeah..." I said and thought back to the envelope in my room.

It's been 2 weeks, and Damian and I have grown closer. He was a very overprotective boyfriend.
"Dami, there's a new movie coming out, and I managed to get us 2 tickets!" I said smiling and showing him the 2 tickets that I successfully bought.
"When is it?" he asked.
"Tomorrow night." I said smiling.
"I'll pick you up." he said.
"No, I'll meet you there. It's not that far from where I live." I said and he sighed but agreed.
"Tell me when you leave the house, and call me when you drive." He said and I nodded.

I was walking to the theatre, while on the phone with my employer. "Do you understand?" He asked me.
"Yes, sir." I responded and hung up. I reached the ticket booth and stood on the sidewalk, and called Damian.
"You arrived?" He asked.
"Yup, I'm by the ticket both." I said excitedly.
"I see you." he said and I turned to find it was Damian.
I smiled and waved and I saw him give me a small wave in return.
I pressed the button on my watch, and put my hand behind my back to hide the faint blinking green light.
"Good job." I heard a whisper in my ear.
"(Y/N)!!!" I heard Damian yell. A cloth was held over my mouth and nose, and I realized it was chloroform. I saw a gun get pulled out, and things turned black as I heard sots get fired.

"She got captured." Damian said walking into the bat cave.
"Who?" Bruce asked.
"(Y/n)!" He said and walked towards his suit to get changed.
"What happened?" Dick asked.
"I was careless, and didn't act fast enough." Damian said and began typing things onto his wrist computer.
"What are you doing?" Dick asked.
"I gave her a necklace, and placed a tracker in it. She was wearing it when she got abducted." Damian said and a red blinking dot appeared.
"She's still in Gotham, it appears to be... underground?" Dick said looking at the map.
"I'm going." Damian said.
"Wait, we need a plan." Bruce said grabbing Damian's arm.
"We don't have time to make a plan! She could be getting tortured!" Damian argued.
"Barging in there without a plan is only going to get you killed, don't be reckless Damian!" Bruce said sternly.
"I'd do anything to get her back safe." Damian said.
"You've only known her a month!" Bruce scolded.
"Well, it was the best 2 months of my life!" Damian argued and left the cave, heading to the location of his beloved.

I woke up tied to a chair in a cold and wet room. I could hear the echo of dripping water. I was sitting in a metal cage. I looked up and saw the familiar man in a hood and mask. "Good acting." he said.
"Yeah.." I mumbled and I heard a set of footsteps.
"Who would you be?" I asked.
"Your employer." she said to me with a hand on her hip.
"Well, it's good to finally put a far to the name, I guess." I shrugged.
"I have to say, you have no experience, but you've done exceptionally well in seducing my son and bringing him back to me." she said.
"Your son?" I asked.
"Yes, Damian, is my son." She said and kneeled down in front of my cage, "And, I can't wait to see his expression when he realizes this was all a trap, and that, you, were in on it, the entire time." she said smiling.
I looked down. I knew she was right, at first, I was playing around, I didn't really like him. I thought he was an arrogant rich stick in the mud... but after getting to know him, I realized he was kind, strong willed, compassionate and stubborn as hell. I grew to like him more and more as we hung out.

I heard footsteps and I looked up and saw it was Robin. I knew Damian was Robin and he knew that I knew. But he hadn't told his father that I know about them both and his family. I only know because it was in the file that was given to me for this assignment.
"Beloved!" He said and ran towards me. He easily opened the cage and ran in, hugging me, checking me for injuries.
"Damian..." I said softly.
"Shh, I'll get us out of here." he said.
"I think not." A voice said and Damian's mother came back.
"Mother.." Damian said. "You did this?" He asked.
"I'm sorry." I said to him and he looked back at me confused. Before he could say anything his mother held up a taser gun and shot it at him. I closed my eyes as the electricity shocked his entire body. He fell limp on the cage floor. I reached a hand out and caressed his cheek before stepping out of the cage.

I had changed into a new set of clothes, and was waiting for Talia, I learned her name, to give me my final payment. We were in a big room, with Damian tied up to a pole in the center of it.
It has been about 30 minutes, and Damian was starting to wake up. "Wh-why... (Y/n)!" he said collecting his thoughts and looking around. I saw relief wash over his face seeing me, but then it disappeared and turned to confusion as he saw me standing with his mother, and he was chained to a pole. His confusion then turned to anger. "What is the meaning of this?" He asked somewhat calmly.
"Why don't you tell him my dear?" Talia asked pushing me forward.
"... I was assigned a mission." I said looking at the ground. "To befriend Damian Wayne, date him, and then capture him." I said simply.
"And you did splendidly. You even had me convinced that you had actually loved him." Talia said with a hand on my shoulder.
I couldn't say anything. I didn't even know where to start. "Don't tell me, you actually fell in love with this girl?" Talia asked her son.
Damian didn't answer. "I'm sorry.." I thought in my head, slowly looking up to see Damian glaring straight at me.
"Here, your reward." Talia gave me an envelope. "Now, leave us. If you speak of this to anyone, you're dead, understand?" She asked.
"Yes Ma'am." I said quietly and walked out. I made it to the surface and bit my lip, knowing this was wrong. I looked up at the cloudy Gotham night sky and saw a shadow pass over me. "You escaped?" I quickly turned recognizing the person as Nightwing.
He was looking at the orange envelope in my hands and frowned. "What is that?" he asked. I slowly took a few steps back, but stopped when I hit something hard. I slowly turned and looked up and saw it was Batman. I jumped back away from I'm and looked between the 2 of them.
"Where's Robin?" Batman asked me.
"I.... I'm s-sorry!" I said tears streaming down my face. "Please... save him..." I cried biting my lips. "I wasn't... I didn't... I couldn't.." I said wiping my eyes.
Nightwing took the envelope from my hands and I fell on my knees, crying into my hands. "It's money. Lots of it." he said throwing it in front of me.
"Explain." Batman said in a low tone.
"... It was a trap. Talia used me... to get her son back." I said.
"Bats, go. I'll listen to her story." Nightwing said and I pointed to the storm grate that I came out from and he dove in.
"Let's not talk here." He said picking up the envelope, and me and I was on the roof of the building.
"Start from the beginning." Nightwing said to me.
"... My mom needs a new heart..." I started. "It came on suddenly.. we were lucky.. a donor offered her heart to us... but the bill, was a hard blow on my dad and I. We had to borrow some money.. from some... bad people. Dad is working 3 jobs. He hardly comes home, and hardly sleeps. A guy came up to me one day, and asked if I needed money, I said yes. He told me he had a job for me. To befriend Damian Wayne, date him, then to capture him." I said. "I never thought I'd fall for him... I thought I would hate him, thinking he was an arrogant, rich playboy, like his father." I said and turned my head to look at Nightwing, "I was wrong..." I said.
"You're in love with Damian Wayne?" he asked and I nodded.
"Yeah, but... he hates me now, so.... I didn't tell him. I couldn't.... I don't deserve him.." I said quietly.
"Well, then instead of moping here, want to help us save Robin?" Nightwing asked.
"You want my help?" I asked.
"Yeah." He said helping me up. "You may have done something bad, but you did it for your mother." He said. "I can kind of understand that." he said.

We were walking quietly through the sewers. The sound of fighting and grunting echoed through the hall.
"I'm going to help Batman, get Robin out of here." Nightwing said to me and I nodded.
He ran ahead of me, and I continued to slowly walk. I saw Damian seemed to be unconscious again. I looked to my left and saw Talia was occupied. I quickly made my way to Damian, and unchained him and caught him as he fell forward. I wrapped an arm around his waist and put his arm over my shoulder and made my way to the exit.
"You!" I heard Talia's voice. I turned towards her as she noticed me and her son in my arms.
"If I can't have my son, no one can!" She yelled and pulled out a gun. Batman and Nightwing tried to stop her, but she kicked them away, and shot at the 2 of us. Time seemed to go slow, as Damian started to wake up and notice me, I unhooked my arms from Damian and pushed him away from me, and felt pain as something flew straight through me. I looked down at the blood seeping into my shirt. I fell to the ground and Damian came into view.
"Hey, stay awake! Don't sleep!" He said to me looking down at my shirt.
"Dami... I'm sorry..." I said softly smiling at him.
"No, don't apologize. Apologize to me tomorrow, not right now, alright?!" He asked me putting his hand over my wound.
"Dami...." I placed a hand over his and he looked at me. "I'm sorry... thank you... I love you..." I said as black dots started to fill my vision.
"(Y/n)! (Y/n)!!" he yelled and things turned quiet.

It's been a week. Damian was at the hospital again. (Y/n) was sleeping peacefully with bandages wrapped around her torso. She lost some blood, and the shock of being shot rendered her unconscious. "Still no awake beloved?" Damian asked taking out the dead flowers and putting in new ones. "The team is getting curious, as to why I keep leaving and coming back late at night." He said and held her hand.
"Just so you know, I'm not angry at you for what happened with my mother, Grayson told me why you did it, and I understand." He said to her. "Also, your mother is getting discharged today. I also helped pay off your debt... If you want to thank me, you better wake up.." he said to her.
After a couple more hours, it was time to leave. "I'll come back tomorrow." Damian whispered and kissed her forehead and left.
The next day, Damian came back only to find (Y/n)'s bed empty. "(Y/n)?" He called, worried that she was taken because something happened, and hopeful that she may be awake and somewhere in the room. "(Y/n)!" he called out again.
He turned to go ask a nurse when the door opened. He looked up slightly to see (Y/n) holding a popsicle and looking at him surprised.
"Dami-" She was cut off as Damian pulled her in for a loving kiss.
"You scared the hell out of me." He said after pulling away.
"It was hot, and I went to get a popsicle." She said hugging Damian.
"I love you too." Damian said.
".... I love you more." she said.
"I love you 3000." he said to her.
"You saw the movie without me!" she said hitting Damian and he laughed, apologizing and pulling her in for a kiss again.
