Summary: The reader decides that Joseph needs to take some time to relax, and what better way to relax than a bath.

It was winter in Hope County and the whole county was covered in a thin blanket of snow. Joseph never let the snow interfere with his schedule, no matter the weather Joseph would try to get to his church to hold his sermon. He had gone to his sermon but you had stayed home, and by the time he was walking back up to the house it was snowing again. You were waiting for him to get home, you had been telling him to just take a break and stay home because of the weather but he always refused.
You smiled to yourself when you heard him walk through the door. You walked over to the front door and frowned at him as you watched him taking his coat off and hanging it up. You walked over to him and smiled when he turned to you. "I told you to stay home. You're going to get sick" you sighed as you reached up and brushed the snow out of his hair.
"I have responsibilities, my love" Joseph smiled, cupping you cheek in his cold hand and kissing your forehead.
"Maybe so, but it is my responsibility to make sure you look after yourself" you smiled at him. "So, I'm going to look after you. You go and get yourself a hot drink, and I'll come and get you when I'm ready" you quickly kissed his cheek before turning around and hurrying up the stairs. Joseph laughed quietly to himself at your behaviour before taking your advice and going to get himself a hot drink.
Joseph had finished his drink by the time you came back down the stairs. You took his hand in yours before guiding him upstairs with a smile. "What exactly do you have planned?" Joseph asked, following you without hesitation.
"Helping you relax, so just shush" you laughed to yourself as you led him towards the bathroom.
Joseph did as you said and shut his mouth as he followed you into the bathroom, letting you shut the door behind you both. Joseph smiled and laughed quietly to himself when he saw that you had filled the bath with warm water and just the perfect amount of bubbles. "Okay, strip and get in. Your skin is freezing and you need to warm up, plus a bath might help you relax" you smiled, leaning back against the sink.
"And you are going to stay here?" Joseph asked, raising an eyebrow at you as he began to unbutton his shirt.
"Of course, I'm going to help you relax" you shrugged, watching him remove his shirt. You nearly rolled your eyes as he folded his shirt neatly and placed in on the counter beside the sink.
"You're going to watch me while I bathe?" he asked, beginning to unbuckle his belt and undo his jeans.
"Oh, my love. Just do as I say" you laughed, shaking your head at him as he kicked his shoes off and lined them neatly up beside the door. Joseph slipped his jeans off, taking his socks off with them, and folded them before placed them with his folded shirt. You crossed your arms and looked at him, allowing your gaze to wander over his body. No matter how many times you see Joseph's body, you will admire his tattoos and scars every time.
You saw Joseph hesitate to remove his underwear so you gestured for him to walk over to you. He smiled and walked over to you, watching your face intently as you slipped the tips of your fingers into the waistband of his underwear. You pulled him closer before leaning up and kissing him slowly, distracting Joseph long enough for you to slip his underwear off and drop them onto the floor.
"Now get in the water" you smiled against his lips, he smiled back and nodded before stepping away from you. He climbed into the bath and sat down, sighing in relief as the warm water surrounded him. You smiled because he smiled, his eyes falling shut and his head falling back against the back against the bath tub.
You pushed yourself off of the sink and walked over to the bath before kneeling beside him. You ran your fingers through his hair, carefully removing the hair tie and letting his hair fall loose. Joseph opened his eyes and sat forward a little more. "What are you doing my love?" Joseph asked, reaching his dry hand out to you and running his fingertips over your cheek tenderly.
"Shush" you rolled your eyes before beginning to wash his hair for him. You spent a few minutes running your fingers through his hair, completely untangling it and making sure it was clean. When you finished with his hair you gently kissed his forehead, making his eyes flutter shut as a small and content smile appeared on his face.
You could feel the tension leaving his body as you gently washed his shoulders, massaging the soap into his skin. You slowly work down and back up his back before moving on to his chest. You saw his face flush pink as you worked down his stomach. His eyes opened when your hand dipped under the water, casually running your hand up his thigh.
"This is supposed to help me relax?" Joseph asked, his breath hitching in his throat.
"It will work" you assured him as you kissed his temple, your hand drifting higher up his thigh. He just nodded, knowing it was true, and letting you do what you were doing.
As your hand drifted over him, barely touching him at all. You held back a small chuckle when you felt his hips lift unconsciously into your hand. Your eyes widened in shock when Joseph wrapped his hand around your wrist, you turned to look at him only to see that he was already looking at you.
"I think that you need to relax too" Joseph whispered, his hand gliding up your arm. You looked at him, a little surprised, but you slowly began to smile at you. Joseph had a tendency of being a little bit oblivious when it came to things like this, and you liked it when he realised what was going on or when he started it.
"You think there is enough room?" you asked innocently, but allowing a smirk to creep onto your lips.
"I think we can make it work" he nodded and shifted to that he was sitting right at one end of the bath.
You chuckled to yourself as you stood up and began to undress. You started by removing your shirt and then your jeans, the whole time you could feel Joseph's eyes on you. Once you were fully undressed you carefully stepped into the bath and slowly sat down facing him. You lent forward casually, laughing softly to yourself as Joseph's gaze snapped towards you when your hand slid up his thigh.
"Come here, my love" Joseph spoke softly as he lent towards you, taking your hands in his and guiding you towards him. You smiled as you leaned over to him, you lips pressing against his for a slow but passionate kiss. Slowly, you moved so that you were straddling him and his back was pressed against the back of the bath tub again, all without breaking the kiss.
Joseph cradled the back of your head in one hand but used his other arm to wrap around your waist and hold your body against his. You ran your hands up his stomach and chest, until they were resting on his shoulders. You pulled your lips away from his before kissing his cheek, he brushed his fingers through your hair as you planted light kisses to his neck and shoulder. His hand ran up your back as you ran your fingers through his hair.
You pulled away from him again, watching him gasp, his eyes fluttering close, and his head falling back as you sank down onto him. One of his hand came down to grip your hip but not tightly, his other hand resting on your waist. Joseph lifted his head and captured you lips with his as you rocked your hips, occasionally rising and falling in a somewhat steady rhythm. The water splashing around you both.
You gasped and moaned quietly into each other's mouths. Your hands where on his shoulders to support yourself while Joseph had his arms wrapped around you to keep you pressed against him.
Joseph pressed sweet kisses to your jaw and neck as your movements became less controlled and his hips began to stutter. You wrapped your arms around Joseph's neck and buried your face in the crook of his neck as you fell against his chest and muffled your moan. He held you securely and comfortingly against his body, stroking your back as he rode you through your high only for his to follow shortly afterwards with a grunt.
You both stayed like that for a moment as you tried to catch your breath, waiting for them to return to normal as the water settled around you both. Joseph pressed a lingering kiss to your temple before you pulled away and lifted yourself off of him. With a quiet huff you turned yourself around and sat down between Joseph's legs and leaning back against his chest and he wrapped his arms around your waist.
"Feeling more relaxed?" you asked, chuckling slight as you tilted your head to look up at him.
"Much more relaxed, my love" Joseph smiled into ypur hair before kissing the top of your head. You smiled as you lay back against his chest comfortably, melting into his embrace. Both of you enjoying the silence and the warm water, protecting you from the cold outside.
