*The years went by. Nat & Kenzie's triplets are three years old now. Their daughter, Kassie, still visits them every once in a while, but only when her brothers go to bed. Nat & Alex are still working on movies & music as usual. Kenzie is trying to balance her music while taking care of the triplets.*
*Nat's P.O.V.*
It's really nice that Kenzie & I have our own studio at our house. It can be a little crazy at times with the boys running around there wanting to touch everything. They are a handful. After recording the vocals of one of my new songs, I took off my headphones & went into the room where my dad was recording the music. I didn't feel very well. I've been feeling sick for a few days now. I didn't want to stop recording the song though. Even though my nose was clogged up & I felt like I was going to either throw up or pass out.
"Nat, are you alright?" asked Michael.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I said taking a sip of water. "I've just been feeling under the weather, that's all."
"You've been feeling like this for a little while now," said Michael. "Maybe we should work on this song tomorrow."
"Dad, I'm fine,-" I said covering my face & sneezed twice.
A few seconds later, Kenzie came inside carrying a tray of food for my father & I. I grabbed a tissue & blew my nose.
"Hey babe," I said while I gave her a hug, but then my dad stopped me. "Dad, what gives?"
"Kenzie, I think Nat is sick," said Michael.
"I'm fine," I said. "Really, I am." I sneezed again. "Shit,"
"Aww," said Kenzie as she felt my forehead. "You do feel a little warm,"
"I think it would be best if Nat took a day or two off," Michael whispered to her.
"But dad,-" I said.
"-Don't but dad me, Nat," said Michael.
"I agree with Michael, Nat," said Kenzie.
"Look," I said. "I know that I may not be feeling like myself today, but, I need to finish recording this song, & Alex needs me to play guitar & sing harmonies for his song, I can't just start recording a song, & then take some days off,-"
"Nat, there will be plenty of time for you to finish this song & Alex's song," said Kenzie. "You've been sneezing, coughing, & vomiting for three days, I think you should take a little break for your own sake,"
I turned to my dad, then to Kenzie & sighed. "Fine,"
My dad patted my back. "Feel better soon, son,"
I nodded.
Kenzie & I walked out of the studio & into the house. Shane & Nate were playing in their little playhouse, while Jason was playing with his building blocks. Kenzie took me upstairs into our bedroom & I laid on the bed. Kenzie went into my drawers & grabbed my pajamas.
"Here," she said. "Go change into these while I go downstairs to look for some medicine, okay?"
I looked down at my pajamas & frowned. "These are my 49er pajamas,"
"Yeah, so?" asked Kenzie.
"I wanna wear my Family Guy ones," I said.
"But they're dirty," said Kenzie.
I sighed. "I don't care,"
I gave Kenzie back my 49er pajamas & she put them back in the drawers. Then she dug through the hamper full of dirty clothes & found my Family Guy pajamas.
"Are you happy now?" she asked as she piled the dirty clothes on top of me.
I nodded. "I guess, thanks Kenz,-" I stopped & sneezed again, then started coughing.
Kenzie rubbed my back & then I was able to stop myself from coughing. "I will go look for the medicine now," she said. "You better be in those pj's by the time I come back."
"Okay," I said.
*Kenzie's P.O.V.*
I went downstairs into the kitchen. The boys seemed like they were occupying themselves, until I saw Shane walk over towards Jason.
"Jason!" yelled Shane. "Wanna come play with us?"
"No," said Jason. "I don't want to right now,"
"Oh come on," said Shane grabbing Jason's arm.
"NO!" said Jason.
I grabbed the medicine & saw Shane & Jason arguing. "Boys, play nice!"
Of course, Shane didn't want to listen to his mother. He let go of Jason's arm & kicked down Jason's blocks. Jason started crying, & I picked up Shane & took him to the corner. He then started crying & moving around.
"Shane, you are in the naughty corner because you did not listen to mommy & you kicked down your brother's blocks," I said. "I want you to stay here for three minutes, & when I come back downstairs, I want an apology for me & Jason,"
"NO!" Shane screamed.
I walked away from him & sat down next to Jason. "It's okay Jason," I said. "I'll tell you what, when I come back down here after I give daddy this medicine, we'll make another castle, Okay?"
I wiped off Jason's tears & he began to calm down. "Okay mommy,"
I kissed his cheek, stood up, & turned around. Shane left the naughty corner & ran inside his playhouse. I walked over there & pulled him out & put him back in the corner.
"Shane, if you continue to keep coming out of the corner, the longer you will stay there," I said.
"I DON'T CARE!" he cried.
I heard Nat calling my name from our bedroom. "KENZIE!"
"I'm coming!" I said.
I looked at Shane standing in front of me crying. "I'll be right back, don't move."
I quickly hopped up the stairs & went into Nat & I's bedroom. Nat changed into his pajamas like I had asked him too. Well, he had the bottoms on. He wasn't wearing his shirt. I walked toward him. Nat had something running down his lips. He was shaking too.
"Nat, what happened?" I asked.
"I felt something in my tummy that wanted to come out," he said. "I went to the bathroom, thinking that I had to go, but I didn't. Then I laid back down, but my tummy still hurt, then suddenly, I puked all over my shirt,"
I sighed. "Here, take some of this," I said filling up a dixie cup with medicine. "It'll make you feel better,"
Nat nodded. "What took you so long?"
"Shane got in trouble," I said. "I put him in the corner, & left him there,"
"What is with that boy?" asked Nat.
"I have no clue," I said getting up. "I'll go talk to him, & I'm going to be downstairs for a little while,"
"Do you need any help?" asked Nat.
"Yeah," I said. "But, you should stay up here & rest, I don't want the babies getting sick too,"
"Why don't you call Alex or Ansel? They're good with kids," said Nat.
"Weird, I thought they didn't like each other," I said.
"Why not?" asked Nat.
"I think it's because of you having a bromace with both of them, one may think that you'd prefer one over the other," I said.
"Oh," said Nat. "Well, why don't you try calling them?"
"I will," I said. "You should get some rest,"
"Alright," said Nat.
I walked downstairs & saw Shane. He was still crying in the corner. I went over to him & then he apologized to Jason & I. Then, I texted Alex & Ansel to come help out with the kids, & Jason & I made a new castle out of blocks. Twenty minutes later, Alex arrived.
"UNCLE ALEX!" screamed the triplets.
Alex bent down & gave his nephews hugs. "Hey guys!"
"Thanks for coming over Alex," I said.
"No problem!" he said. "Where's Nat?"
"He's upstairs," I said. "He has a really bad cold & the flu,"
"That sucks," said Alex. "Did you schedule a doctor's appointment for him?"
"Yeah, it's tomorrow," I said.
"That's good," said Alex. "I'll watch the kids for you tomorrow, since I have nothing else planned,"
"Thanks," I said.
I heard a knock on the door. Ansel had arrived.
"Hey Kenzie!" he said grabbing my hand & kissing it. "You look beautiful as usual,"
"Thanks Ansel," I said.
Alex frowned. "What is he doing here?"
"I came to help out with my favorite nephews," said Ansel. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm helping out too," said Alex.
Nate walked up towards Ansel. "Uncle Ansel will you play cars with me?"
"Sure little dude!" he said.
I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. It was a text from Nat. "I'll be right back," I said.
