Harry and ron quickly walked down the dungeons, knowing that their new personas would wear off soon.
"Mate, shouldn't we wait for Hermione?" Ron asked, glancing back a the stone corridor. Harry shook his head.
"This stuff doesnt last for long, we cant risk it. Harry replied, picking up his pace till he was at the Slytherin portrait. Luckily for them, a first year had just opened it, so they could easily slip inside. Lounging in one of the gigantic armchairs was their target, Draco Malfoy.
"Ah Crabbe, Goyle, i was wondering when you'd finally peel yourself away from the cakes you were scoffing at alarming rates." Draco said before facing away to walk into the bedrooms.
"Even when he's with his friends, he's still an absoloute git!" Ron whispered to Harry. The boys followed Draco like the small minded servents they were pretending to be.
"So Draco, what about this whole heir of slytherin stuff then?" Harry said carefully, making sure his voice sounded just right. Draco who had been reading a newspaper, flung it aside and sighed. He saw Rons eyes go wide as he read the headline about his father and the car incident they'd got him in trouble for.
"I couldnt care less." Draco replied, snapping both boys attention back to Draco and surprising them immensly. Where was the confessions about his evil plans for the chamber of secrets? He just didnt care? Something must be up with Draco!
"Wait what?" Ron stuttered, casuing Harry to elbow him in the side. Draco's eyes narrowed on them, wandering what was up with his... acquaintances.
"I think Crabbe means that this would be something your interested in cause the dark lord and the heir of slytherin and that." Harry quickly added, hopefully saving their arses. Dracos face returned to normal.
"Well its obviously not me, even though that'd be a lovely title. I get why you'd think that though, as i am like royalty in this house!" He said vainly, annoying the others. "Its more likely to be Harry, as he could talk to the snake and stuff. I hope not though!" Harry was extremely shocked. Draco calld him Harry, not Potter and didnt want him to be some evil mastermind. Did Hermione turn into Draco just to fuck with them?
"Why do you look so surprised? I dont wanna date an evil mastermind. I've had enough of them and they really annoy me. If i did wanna date one, I'd hit up Voldemort!" Draco said with a laugh. Both Harry and Ron were so surpirsed they didn't know what to say. Draco just rolled his eyes and walked off, thinking this was his friends were in some form of food coma. The only thing snapping the boys out of their daze was the fact that Crabbe now had ginger highlights and Goyle was developing a rather famous scar on his forehead. They ran out of the common room, ignoring Draco's protests that they were leaving and ran straight back to their own common room.
"Hey, what happened?" Hermione asked as she saw the two traumatised boys run into the pratically empty common room.
"What happened with us? What about with you?" Ron replied as he pratically passed out on the floor from the running.
"Turns out Pansy has a cat and coughing up hairballs really hurts." Hermione said, shuddering at the horrors she'd encountered. The boys didnt even laugh, which worried her on what they had found out.
"Im gonna guess Malfoy is the heir of slytherin with that look on your face." She said. Ron shook his head and Harry stared into the fire, wandering if he should jump into it.
"Nope, doesnt care about it at all. In fact, he thought Harry was it due to the snake incident but hopes its not him cause... well he likes him. He likes likes him." Ron replied akwardly. Harry tried to drown it out so he could start forgetting about it, but for some reason he couldnt. Draco Malfoy likes him and Harry doesnt know how to feel about it.

Harrys mind had been all over the place since that night. Thankfully his friends were too shocked to talk about it and since then, any attempt to bring it up has been instantly shut down by Harry. He was a mess of emotions. His nights were sleepless, his days were distracted. Draco Malfoy had broken him. He'd recived a note from Ginny to meet him in the Hallway of armour and Harry was hoping he'dd develope some feelings towards her to get Draco off his mind.
Draco felt disgusted. First of all he had to pratically kidnapp the youngest of the dreadful Weasley's, drink a disgusting potion containing her hair and now he was an eleven year old girl. Today was not fun. Harry had been acting even weirder around him recently and it was starting to piss him off. Draco knew Harry kinda hated him, but Harry didnt have to run everytime he saw him! He leant against the cold wall, hating how cold his legs were in this stupid skirt. How do the scottish men wear these? He finally saw the familiar boy walking down the hallway, looking like he was having some troubled thoughts. When he saw Ginny, he shot her a smile and a quick wave before jogging over.
"Hey Ginny what's up? How are you enjoying Hogwarts so far?" He asked kindly. Draco's heart fluttered at Harry talking to him, well her, this way.
"Um nothings up and its going good. I just wanted to see you, that's all." Draco replied, hoping he sounded genuine.
"Oh okay." He said. They stood in silence. Draco wouldn't stay as Ginny for long and he needed to do something to know how Harry felt about him.
"So in the-" Draco took a surprising move and kissed Harry. Would an eleven year old do this? Probably not. But Draco had noticed how brave Ginny was so maybe she would. Harry pulled away pretty quickly, unsure how to react. That was his first kiss and he didn't want it to be with Ginny. Turns out his plan to magically fall in love with Ginny had failed.
"Look Ginny, your great and everything, but I don't like you like that." He started. Draco on the inside was doing flips cause at least he didn't have to worry about the weaslette anymore. "I'm um at an awkward age where I'm figuring things out for myself and one of those things is who I like. Everyone in my year is developing crushes and stuff and I guess I fell into that bandwagon. I um like someone else, sorry Gin." He said awkwardly.
"Who?" Draco blurted out, his voice sounding slightly lower and boyish.
"You promise not to judge me?" Harry replied and Draco instantly nodded.
"Well I think I might like guys or something. And by guys, I mean, I think I like Draco Malfoy."
*thinking of creative time skips is hard so... have a boring one. Time skip.*
"Why is Malfoy acting so weird lately?" Hermione asked as they exited their potions class. Harry shrugged. He should like it that Draco's not bullying them anymore but, it was like he was avoiding going near them completely.
"Maybe he's realised he can't bully us as we're too strong." Ron replied, flexing his muscles.
"Or maybe he's realised that thats no way to win our Harrys heart." Hermione said quietly, earning her a glare.
"Or maybe he's plotting our deaths." Harry added.
"Wow someones super cheerful this morning." Ron said. Harry shot a glare his way before walking off.
He ended up at the libary, a place his friends wont consider him to have gone. He was browsing through books on wizarding celebrirtites, (finding two of himself) when a familiar flash of blonde appeared at the table on the other side of the bookshelf. Harry squinted and saw he was reading about the Polyjuice potion. Uh oh... that cant be good. Confidently as a boy facing his first crush could be, he went to investigate.
"Malfoy." Draco jumped. Why. Was. Harry. Behind. Him? He took a deep breath and faced the boy.
"Potter, what are you doing?" Draco asked dully.
"Why are you looking up polyjuice? Thats from the restricted section." Harry asked, cringing because he sounded like a goody two shoes.
"Because im adavnced at potions." Draco simply replied. Truthfully he was looking into a way of prelonging the potion so he could talk to Harry about his crush. "Anway Potter, how do you know what it is and that its in the restricted section?" Draco asked in return, watching Harry blush.
"Because Hermione is advanced in everything." Harry quickly said, hoping it'l save him.
"Well im aware of that. I think you've been playing around with the polyjuice, spying on someone maybe." Harrys heart sped up. Did he know? It was stupid to use a potion for somone whos good at them.
"I know nothing about the potion, just that Hermiones talked about it before."
"So Grangers used it to help the trio spy?" Draco teased. Did this count at flirting? He didnt know what flirting was so maybe this is and it excited him. He went to walk away but then it dawned on him.
"Wait Potter, did you use it to spy on me?" Draco remembered the night well. He'd talked to a weirdlt acting Crabbe and Goyle and when they were fleeing, he swear he saw Crabbe with ginger hair. Then when he questioned them later, they denied it all.
"No of course not." Harry lied. Draco raised an eyebrow at him. The boy was a terrible liar.
"Harry, you cant lie for shit." Harry turned away and looked at the ground, blushing. If he figured this out, Hermione and Ron would be in trouble! Plus he'd know that Harry knows about Dracos crush.
"So this means you know about..."
"Your feelings for me." Harry finished his sentence. Shit, this was not the way he was meant to find out. He was suppose to find out in a dramatic way, something you'd read about but never like this.
"We only done it cause we thought you might be the heir of slytherin and well you didnt confess to that." Harry explained. For some reason, he felt slightly bad for it.
"I get why you'd think that though, as i am-"
"Like royalty to that house." Harry pratically finished his quote, casuing Draco to smile.
"You remebered huh?" He said with a grin and Harry nodded embarrassingly.
"Well as we're being honest, i used it on you too." Draco said slowly. He paused, waiting for Harrys reaction, but he just nodded. "I was Ginny and i asked you to meet in the armour hallway."
"Wait so you kissed me?" Harry asked, rather startled.
"Yes and i heard about your love for me." Draco replied.
The boys sat in silence.
"So um you like me and i like you so should we date?" Harry asked. Draco looked at him with a mixture of fear and excitement.
"I mean i guess thats what people do."
A/N: Hi that was awkward and I hate the ending. Its hard writing for when they're twelve! This was super hard to write as i had already attempted to write two other ideas but couldn't finish them. Thank you for 16k, its literally incredible that so many people have read my rubbish!!!
