A few hours later
Percy's POV:
I watched as the combined forces of New Rome and Camp Half Blood gathered at the Parthenon looking confused. I was still in my roman armor with Midgard around my neck and the able bodied guardians at my sides, and Zain right next to me. Once everyone was gathered Phoenix stepped forward and everyone quieted down.
"Friends, soldiers, and angry hunters, today is the day where we fight for our futures" Phoenix said uncertainly and I stepped forward in front of him
"Let me handle this" I said calmly as I faced the large force "Yes, hello, I know many of you might not know me, but my name is John Sycamore. We have been fighting for three days now, and I know you are all tired and beat up, but we can't let the enemy win! If we do that then all that we have fought for will be for naught. I know some of you want to sit down and let fate take its course and I agree sometimes I wish I could do that, but now is not the time! And I say this, not to try to rally your spirits but to preach the truth. Outside this city is a force much stronger than anything we have faced, bolstered by the earth mother Gaea the giants may seem unstoppable, but that is untrue, with the help of the gods the giants can, and will be killed" I say loudly and I hear murmurs of agreement "So it is with this that I ask that we put aside our personal loathing, that we cast aside our doubts in this war because this is no place for that. No, this is a place for warriors that have no doubt in their mind that they will win. Those giants are nothing compared to what we can do together! We have come up with a plan so stupid its brilliant, I want everyone to stay here and wait for the giants to arrive. The reason why the guardians were captured was because they were out numbered, but if we fight here, where they are all together I have no doubt that we will over come this enemy!" I said and everyone cheered half heartedly 'Damn they are not confident in this, time to pull out the big guns' I thought to myself as I looked everyone "Who here was friends with Percy Jackson?" I asked and most of everyone raised their hands "Well he sacrificed himself to close the doors of death, are you going to let his sacrifice be in vain? He threw himself into Tartarus for you all to have a chance at winning" I shouted and the fifth looked up at me "Yeah that's right, Percy Jackson died protecting Olympus, he was tortured relentlessly not giving a damn piece of information about the forces that believed in him. Fight on in his memory, don't give a damn inch of this ground to the giants because Percy would have fought till his dying breath!" By this point the fifth were roaring in approval which was slowly causing everyone else to feel the same "He wasn't perfect, we all know that but if one thing was certain he loved his friends and family, to go through so much torture that would cause a rock to cry, and to smile through it before dying, that is true dedication, so in this battle, lets honor our fallen comrade by fighting for him, to have him be remembered for all time!" I shouted and the romans and greeks roared in agreement
'You just boosted your own ego' Midgard said and I shook my head
"No, I just said what needed to be said. Besides, Percy did die, he died the moment he killed Tartarus, I am Lunar" I whispered to him as I felt the ground tremble as the opposing army marched into view
"Well well well, have you all decided that you wanted to surrender? I am afraid that it is too late for that mortals" Porphyrion said and I laughed
"Porphyrion, shove that spear up your ass, it will prepare you for the amount of pain we will inflict upon it" I taunted and Porphyrion's face turned red at the insult
"For that, you will all die" He said as the sky above us opened and several beams of light shot down and collided with the ground as the gods arrived in full battle armor
"Think again giant scum!" Zeus said as he held his master bolt and the giants laughed
"You think you can defeat us? Not this time, this time, we have something special for you all" Mimas said as he whistled and five spheres of darkness appeared before exploding out leaving five figures with black tattered wings and black armor
"Say hello to the warriors of Shi, the elite force of the all-powerful dragon killer" Enceladus said and everyone took a step back
"Phoenix, you and the other guardians hold off the warriors of whatever the hell" I said and Phoenix nodded as he was engulfed in flames allowing his armor to appear as he spread his flaming wings and shot into the air
"The warriors of Shi? Sounds like warriors of Shit to me" Phoenix said and the winged figures tensed as they summoned two swords each while Phoenix drew his sword and shield "Bring it" He said before he shot forward while the warriors did the same
"CHARGE!" I yelled and the final battle began
I leapt down and sprinted to the front lines where I was met with Polybotes as he thrusted his trident towards me. I swung my gladius from behind my back and deflected the strike before I jumped up and sunk my blade into his chest before willing his blood to boil until it started to evaporate.
"W-What trickery is this!" He screamed as my eyes flashed silver and his eyes widened "N-No!" He yelled as Midgard sent a golden burst of fire into Polybotes mouth setting him on fire from within as I jumped back and landed
"I never liked him anyway" I said as I felt something was wrong "Where's Artemis?" I asked as I felt a slight pull to the side and I saw a large figure dragging a struggling woman away "No..." I said as I raced to the two beings
They moved off to the side far away from the actual battle and what I saw made my blood boil with fury. Gration had Artemis tied up and was moving his hands over her form. As his hand got near her face she bit him causing him to recoil before he lashed out with a hard slap causing Artemis to start bleeding from the cheek as well as spit out ichor. My body went cold as I reared my head back and let out a terrifying roar.
Third Person POV:
As the battle raged on, the demigods knew what was at stake and for the memory of their supposedly fallen friend and leader, they fought tooth and nail against the giants. The remaining guardians aided as best as the could but due to the constant fighting over the past three days they could only do so much. Up in the air, Phoenix was taking on all five of the warriors of Shi, his skill in flying and sword play seemed far superior than the warriors as he pivoted in the air and dove down before corkscrewing out of the way of multiple attacks. However, the entire battle stopped as the most terrifying roar echoed through the city. It was a roar that shook even Midgardsormr to his core as it promised pure pain and eternal suffering. Even the warriors of Shi glanced over to where the sound came from and where slightly shocked to see a glowing silver ball of energy encasing the demigod who ordered the charge. The roar continued to get louder as the ground around Percy cracked and splintered as he let raw fury consume him. Percy charged Gration and landed a punch on his stomach that snapped every bone in the immediate location so fast the sound echoed throughout the battlefield. Percy then jammed his hand into Gration's stomach and ripped out his large intestine before wrapping it around Gration's neck and tying it.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE THINK ABOUT HURTING HER!!" A demonic voice echoed out of the demigod as he grabbed the organ and swung it over his head and using strength that only a guardian could use he pulled Gration over his head before slamming him into the ground
Percy then repeated the process as both sides watched the fury consumed Demigod demolish the giant that was 'promised' Artemis. When Percy was finished with swinging Gration he pulled the giant to him and bit down on the giant's neck and tore out his jugular before ripping the rest of Gration's head off and throwing it to the ground. Percy then turned to the battle as his silver ball of energy condensed on him and changed his roman style armor to his Paladin of the Moon armor, with the dark as night wolf pelt over his head. However, the armor shifted red in the way that water would turn red when blood was dropped into it. At that moment, the sun was blotted out as the moon covered it and turned blood red. Percy's eyes turned from silver to crimson and when he summoned his shield, the silver crescent was blood colored as well as his sword.
When the transformation was complete, Zain took the opportunity and leapt into a giant and slammed his Wofrium escrima sticks into a giant's head as Apollo shot a golden shafted arrow into the giant. Soon several giants fell due to the distraction caused by the crimson Paladin. The gods weren't the only ones to seize the opportunity to attack. The warriors of Shi took this time and buried their swords into Phoenix who when rigid before he crumbled to ash not leaving behind anything. The warriors were about to turn their sights on the gods when suddenly the Crimson Paladin was in front of them swinging his blood red sword with a strength that was rivaled by nothing.
"Phoenix!" A female voice cried out as the ash fell to the ground in a neat pile and Heather ran up to it and slid on her knees crying "No!!! Please... come back! CHOAS BRING HIM BACK!" She yelled and she hung her head as the guardians formed around her and defended her from any attacks when her phoenix feather fell out of her hair and landed on the ashes causing a spark of flame to ignite them
The fire grew and Heather fell back as the bonfire exploded into a column of flames as I figure shot out wearing gold and red armor wielding a sword and shield. The figure then flew into battle next to Percy and when he crossed blades against a warrior of Shi, anyone could see the terror that was etched on the warrior's face. Phoenix pushed the warrior back before unleashing a torrent of flames that burnt the rest of their wings to ashes.
Percy crossed blades with another warrior, an invisible force holding him up as he fought. He made a quick feint and cut one of the wings off before burring his blade into the warrior's chest.
"Go tell your master, don't mess with Olympus" Percy said in a demonic voice as he ripped the blade out and helped Phoenix dispatch of the rest of the warriors before both dropped to the floor and stalked towards Porphyrion who started to back up as the entire army of demigods and gods and guardians enclosed around him
"This isn't over!" He shouted as he pulled out his spear and stabbed himself "Oh, Mother Earth, I sacrifice myself to raise you from your slumber, take my power and take control of the world that is rightfully yours!" He chanted as he crumbled to dust and the ground around everyone shook
"Son, I accept your sacrifice and shall destroy these gods that have ruined my world" Gaea said as a colossus figure rose out of the ground and looked at the tiny forces "Who wants to play?"
