Percy's POV:
I grabbed Artemis' hand and she smiled as she laced our fingers causing the entire roman legion to let out another round of wolf whistles.
"Oh give the two love birds some space" I heard Zoe yell and I looked at her "What?"
"Oh nothing, just wondering how you were doing" I said and Artemis squeezed my hand hard causing me to flinch
"I would take your eyes off of me and look at her for the next few months Perce, you owe her that" Zoe said and I looked at Artemis and felt the pressure in my hand decrease
'We were idiots for giving her a minor domain in strength...' Iota muttered and I sighed mentally
"So, Percy, where are we going to go?" Artemis asked and I frowned
"You mean you want to go on a date now?" I asked and Artemis glared at me "Of course you want to go on a date now!" I corrected myself and she smiled sweetly "Where do you want to go Moonbeam?" I asked and she blushed lightly
"Well, I was wondering if we could spend tonight together" She said quietly and I raised an eyebrow and she understood what she said "Not like that! You nasty minded male!" Artemis yelled and I put on my best confused face
"I was thinking about a nice dinner and a movie, if it's not that then what is it?" I said and I watched in amusement as her cheeks turned a dark red and I chuckled
"Nothing" She murmured as she hid her face in my chest and I chuckled
"Let's head to the after-battle party" I said and she nodded
I led her through the streets until we reached the dining hall where everyone was sitting. When they saw me they all got up and saluted me before cheering.
"You have gained the Legion's respect Perce" Reyna said from her crutches and I looked at her again "Don't worry, I'm fine, just a sprain. That giant got lucky and knocked me off of Scipio when we were fighting him" Reyna said with a smile "But I believe this celebration requires more than a feast" She said with a sly smile
"You getting your secret lover to help?" I whispered to her and she blushed a dark red and I laughed
"Yes, Skyla is helping" Reyna said and I chuckled as the air around us shimmered and the dining hall turned into a dance floor causing several people to let out surprised shouts
"Well, I never expected you to be dating Lady Diana" A familiar voice said and I turned to see Kyle with a smile on his face
"Kyle! Long time no see my friend" I said as we grasped forearms "how are you holding up?" I asked and he chuckled
"As good as ever dude" He responded as he turned around and saw a woman motioning him over with her finger "Well, I got to go, let me know when you want to hang out" he finished before he walked off and Dakota walked up and embraced me in a large hug
"THAT WAS AWESOME!!!" He shouted and I laughed
"It was nothing, honestly" I said and he laughed before patting me on the back
"Whatever, but remember that no matter what, the fifth will have your back, hell if you go against Olympus we will join you" He said and I laughed again
"Alright" I said and he walked off as I found a table and sat down with Artemis next to me as music started playing and couples got on the dance floor
"Percy, you want to dance?" Artemis asked and I looked at her
"I was hoping to get the right song, besides, the floor is pretty packed" I said and Artemis looked at the dance floor and frowned
"Right, but you will dance with me" She said as she turned back to me and I nodded quickly
"Of course!" I said and she smiled
"So, Percy, what are you going to get me for Christmas?" Artemis asked and I froze "I mean, as your charge you are required to get me something"
'SHIT! What are we going to get her!' Instinct yelled mentally and I blocked my thoughts from them
'I don't know! Maybe get her new hunting knives?' Iota suggested but I grinned mentally as a thought popped into my head
"It will be a surprise" I said
'What is it!?' Instinct and Iota asked
'It will be a surprise; didn't you just hear me?' I said mentally and they both scowled
"Very well, but it better not be new hunting knives. Apollo gets me those every year" Artemis said and Iota sighed as a guy in a black suit and sunglasses walked over to our table and sat down "Excuse me, what are you doing here?"
"Artemis, don't make a scene" The guy said quietly
"What do you need Lord Chaos creator of everything, father of Skyla, director of the guardian program" I said quietly and I could tell his eye twitched
"Percy, shut up" The guy said and I smirked triumphally "Artemis, I need to borrow Percy for a moment" He said and Artemis nodded
Chaos then grabbed my arm and walked away so we were out of earshot of everyone. Once we were out of range, he turned to me and took off his sunglasses.
"Percy, someone is dating my daughter, I found a hicky on her neck today and it has me worried. I need you to find this male and rip him limb from limb please" Chaos said and I smirked
"I'm sorry, but I won't be able to find this man you speak of" I said and he narrowed his eyes
"And why is that?" He said coldly and I looked at him dead in the eye as I pulled a rainbow card lined square out of my pocket and held it between two fingers
"If you can get me some Moonlace, and keep Artemis occupied, then I can tell you why I won't be able to find this man, also if you could teleport me to the Mediterranean" I said and he glared at me
"I could just take it from you right now" He threatened and I smirked
"But you wont because Iris put a password on this and we both know that if she wants to keep something a secret nothing in the damn universe will get her to spill it" I countered and we engaged in a staring contest
After a few minutes a gust of wind blew and he blinked causing me to pump my fist in victory.
"Damn it! You're too lucky with that Percy, but yeah, I'll distract Artemis" He said as he snapped his fingers and summoned a few moonlace and handed them to me
I took the moonlace and he snapped his fingers again and I was teleported to the bottom of the Mediterranean and I smiled.
"He may not know where I wanted to go, but he was damn close" I said as I willed the water to shoot me forward towards a large underwater mountain. I passed a stone and put my hand to it causing a silver light to extend from it and the door to the ancient forge opened
I walked through it and up to the stone platforms that rose up and I gently placed the Moonlace on the table.
'What are you making?' Instinct asked and I chuckled
'You'll see' I said and I summoned Lunar's light and cut a piece of the Wofrium off and threw it into the cauldron
I then looked up and smiled as where I was at in the world had a full moon. I looked at the Moonlace and held it to my lips.
"Flowers of Full Moon's glow, Release your sacred power, show me your ancient light" I chanted in Greek and the flowers started glowing brightly
I put the flowers in the cauldron and waited for a few minutes before it started bubbling. I willed the water to move the pure Aieon to the surface where I grabbed it and walked over to an Anvil and grabbed a hammer that rested on the top.
"I have one shot to get this right... Let's not fuck up" I said as I started hammering the piece of Aieon
Chaos' POV:
'What is taking him so long!' I thought to myself as Artemis kept asking where Percy went
"Chris" She said in a warning tone of voice "Where. Is. My. Percy?" she growled out and I gulped
'I am the creator of the universe! Why am I afraid of Artemis!' I asked myself mentally 'Oh that's right, she scares the living crap out of Percy and Phoenix when she is angry, and those two aren't scared of anything'
"He's... uh..." I stammered under the dangerous gaze that promised pain "Um... err... doing something..." I got out as I noticed she held more power than normal "Artemis, have you recently felt... I don't know... more powerful lately?" I asked and she nodded slightly
"Yeah, ever since Percy took out Heracles I've felt stronger both physically and energy wise" She said and I snapped my fingers and a laptop appeared
I searched through it until I found what her domains were and I read them.
"Major domains in Archery, Hunting, Maidens, the Moon" I listed and she nodded "Minor domain in Strength...?" I said and she looked at me weirdly
"What? That can't be right..." She said and I showed her the screen "When did I..." she started to say but trailed off "Percy walked into the throne room saying that he had to take out the trash... did he make Heracles fade?" She asked and I turned the Laptop back around and went through the faded files and found his name
"Yes, yes he did, he also took Heracles' domain and sacrificed it to you" I said and she went wide eyed
"That's why I was glowing..." She muttered and I looked at the time on the device
'Come on Percy, what is taking you almost half an hour to do!' I said to myself as I felt something rush up to the table
"I'm back!" Percy said as he put a black object into his pants pocket and I raised an eyebrow
Artemis turned to him and stood up slowly.
"I feel like im about to be throttled into next week..." Percy commented seriously and Artemis puled a fist back and launched it at Percy sending him flying across the dance floor narrowly missing several people before he slammed into a wall
Everyone was silent as they all turned to Artemis with eyes filled with fear.
"Yeah, I was right" Percy called out "Damn that hurt" He complained as he pulled himself out of the wall and onto the floor as Artemis strode over to him slowly as he got up
When Artemis reached him, she grabbed the collar of his shirt and held him.
"So you think you can give me a domain after making Zeus' son fade!?" She growled and Percy smirked
"I will never understand why he finds enjoyment of being abused by her..." I muttered to a kid who was sitting behind me typing on a computer
"It's probably because he loves her so much he is willing to do anything for her, even jump in to Tartarus" He said calmly as I watched Artemis tighten her grip on Percy's shirt while everyone watched
"Yes, yes, I do, you like it?" Percy said cheekily and I thought Artemis was going to throw him back into the wall but instead she brought him in and locked lips with him
"Knew it" the kid behind me said and I rolled my eyes
"What's your name kid?" I asked without looking at him
"Nich, Son of Hades and adoptive son of Lady Styx" He said and I nodded before stopping
'He said Hades... he is in a Roman camp...' I thought as I turned around expecting to see him but instead I found nothing, just an empty table "What the..." I muttered before shaking the encounter out of my head and turning back to Percy to see him on the ground still kissing Artemis
When they finally pulled apart, Artemis was completely out of breath as she looked into Percy's eyes.
"Good, it shows me that you care" Artemis said and Percy smiled as he took her hand and walked back over to me before pulling out the rainbow square and handing it to me
"Password's Reyla" Percy said and I nodded as I took the square and flashed back into the void where I threw it up and entered the password
I watched the Iris message in shock, it wasn't until five minutes after the message ended that I broke out of my stunned silence.
"SKYLA!!!!!!!!"
Percy's POV:
Once Chaos flashed away, I smirked as Artemis looked at me.
"What was that?" She asked
"Blackmail" I said simply and Artemis rolled her eyes
"So where did you go?" She asked and I smiled
'So we going to give it to her on Christmas?' Instinct asked
'Of course, we can't give it to her now, then we would need to find another gift' Iota said
"Just had to do some things" I said and Artemis narrowed her eyes causing me to smile
"I could just beat the answer out of you" She threatened and I shook my head
"Nope, this is one thing that I will not tell you, you have to wait till Christmas" I said as I poked her nose causing her to pout
"But I'm your charge, you have to tell me" She said and I shook my head
"Nope, you can't get me to say anything" I said with a large smile
'I predict another round of beat the Percy' Instinct said
'And the hunters will be involved' Iota commented
'Speaking of the Hunters, I'm surprised no one has been hurt by them yet' I pointed out
"AHHHH!!!!" A male voice yelled as they ran past us and an arrow with a boxing glove on it flew after him and nailed him in the back of the head
'And I spoke too soon' I corrected
"DON'T FLIRT WITH US YOU FILTHY MALE!!!" I heard Phoebe shout when suddenly another male was thrown past us and landed on the other guy causing both to groan in pain
I turned my head and saw Phoenix standing there with his hand outstretched, causing me to raise an eyebrow.
"What? He put his hand on Heather's shoulder" Phoenix supplied and I rolled my eyes as I turned to Artemis and smiled
Suddenly, two glasses of wine were brought over to Artemis and myself and I looked at them warily.
"Come on Percy, free wine" She said as she grabbed the glass
I picked mine up and sniffed it. I smelt the smell of wine and water, but there was a slight bitter smell to it that made me scrunch up my nose.
'Nightshade!' Instinct and Iota yelled mentally and I dropped my glass before slapping the glass out of Artemis' hands
"What the Hades Percy!?" Artemis yelled
"Poison" I said simply "Whoever got the wine put Nightshade into it" I growled and looked around before looking at Phoenix
'Don't drink the wine, I just smelt nightshade in it' I told him through our mental connection
I watched as Phoenix threw down his wine and knocked it out of every hunter's hand.
"We can't stay here, it's too dangerous" I said and Artemis was quiet as I took her hand and saw Phoenix flame travel the hunters away
I then led Artemis away from the party until we were in a garden. I looked at Artemis who was still quiet and I faced her.
"Artemis, are you alright?" I asked as she looked at me
Instead of saying anything she tackled me and crashed her lips onto mine as she kissed me feverishly. After a few minutes, she pulled back and tucked her head under my chin while holding me tightly.
"Thank you..." She said softly and I smiled as I wrapped my arms around her
"Anytime" I said as I kept her close
~One week later~
'Okay, its Christmas eve tonight, Reyna has set up the party, are you ready Percy' Instinct asked and I nodded
'You got her present?' Iota asked and I nodded
'Yes, because if I didn't she would kill us' I responded
'I can't believe that the only interesting thing we did the entire week was make out with Artemis almost every night' Instinct said and I chuckled as I tucked a wrapped empty box under my arm
I shifted my outfit into my formal suit as I walked out of the Praetor's room. I then made my way to the dining hall where the celebration was at. After a few minutes of walking I made it to the mess hall where I saw a large decorated Tree with a load of presents on the ground. The hunters were sitting in a small group off to the side, I also saw the Amazons near the hunters as a familiar amazon was talking to Zoe.
"Percy, there you are!" I heard Thalia said as she ran over with Bianca and pulled me towards the other hunters
"Where's Artemis?" I asked and Thalia smirked before pointing behind me
I turned around and saw Artemis wearing a beautiful silver dress that looked decently warm. She walked over to the group and held my hand.
"Thank you all for coming to the annual Roman Christmas Party!" I heard Reyna said as she stood in front of the tree with Skyla "We shall start off with the distribution of presets then we will take turns opening them. The first cohort will each open one present before moving onto the second and so on and so forth, once the fifth Cohort has opened a present, the hunters of Artemis and the Amazons will open one present, then the Praetors will open one. Any Questions?" Reyna asked and no one said anything "Let the distribution begin!" She said and hundreds of presents shot away from the tree and to their respective owners
The hunters got five each, the Cohorts got six presents for each person, Reyna got five presents, Artemis got three presents, not including the empty box I had under my arm and I received ten presents. Artemis looked at me and I shrugged.
"It's probably some more weapons, and remember, my weapons are your weapons" I said and Artemis rolled her eyes
Over the next few hours, everyone opened their gifts, the hunters received high grade weapons from the Amazons, Artemis got a new set of hunting knives from Apollo, a silver circlet that had a crescent moon that rested on her forehead, and a new quiver that was made out of a silver material. I received an amulet that shifted into an AR-15, a flask that could hold infinite of a liquid (Probably from Dakota), I also received a few cards that held love letters that Artemis confiscated immediately before tearing them up. Once everyone was finished with opening presents and they started to get up and leave I grabbed the microphone from Reyna.
"There is one more present that needs to be opened" I said and everyone stopped and looked over "Artemis, please come on up" I announced and Artemis walked over and I handed her the wrapped empty box
She took the box and started to unwrap it, and while she was occupied I pulled a small black box out of my pocket and dropped to a knee. When she finally opened the box and saw nothing in it she threw it to the ground and looked at me and opened her mouth to yell when she froze in place.
"Will you marry me?"
