Percy's POV:
I watched in amusement as everyone's head turned toward me with a look of horror. That is, until Mars let out a booming laugh.
"You must be new to the ancient world" Mars said and I smirked
"Nope, names Percy Jackson, son of Neptune, and wielder of more weapons than what should be possible" I say and Mars looks at me before laughing some more
"I believe you, now, Frank Zhang, where are you?" Mars said changing the subject and Casey looked at me causing me to smirk some more
I saw Frank stand up and walk forward.
"My boy, that was a nice fight on your part" Mars said and I saw Frank pale slightly "Ref, did you see my boy get over the wall?" He continued as Casey walked over to me and looked me in the eyes
"Hello Casey" I said to the guardian of Ares and she looked at me "What brings you and Lord Mars to Camp Jupiter?" I ask and she smirks
"Lord Mars wanted to see his son Frank and give him a gift, and he also wanted to warn you all about what is to come" She said and I raised an eyebrow "Thanatos has been captured, we know where he is but we don't know who managed to capture him" She finished and I nodded
"I want him, the one who refused to bow, on this quest. He is an excellent fighter and will prove helpful on this quest" Mars said and I saw him pointing at me and I saw Octavian step forward
"Lord Mars, normally a quest has a prophecy. If you would excuse me, I could get a knife and several sacrifices..." Octavian started but I formed a fist out of water and threw it at him, knocking him out cold
"Sorry... nah not really, he deserved it" I say simply as Mars smiles widely "Lord Mars, I am sure you have thought of this predicament"
"Indeed, does anyone have a pen?" He asked and I pulled Riptide out, uncapped it and then put the cap on the hilt so it turned into a normal ball point pen
"Catch!" I yell and throw the pen at him
Mars catches it and quickly scribbles down something before handing me Riptide and handing a now conscious Octavian the paper.
"Go to Alaska, find Thanatos, free him, return before the battle" Octavian said dizzily before looking at me with a pathetic glare "Lord Mars, normally prophecies rhy--" he started before I threw another water fist at him
"A Prophecy has been issued by Lord Mars!" I yell and I notice Casey and Mars holding in laughter as Zain walked up next to me
"Now, Frank, that weapon has three charges, use them wisely" Mars said before Casey walked up to him and they both vanished in a flash of light
"Well, that was fun" I muttered to Zain who nodded silently "You need a weapon my friend, any preferences?" I ask and he nods as he takes a pen and a piece of paper and draws what he wants then hands it to me "Escrima sticks?" I question and he nods causing me to shrug "Alright, ill get you them mate. Let me just contact Phoenix"
'Yo! Phoenix' I yelled over our bond and I felt him pick up
'Yeah?' He asked
'Can I get an order of two Wofrium Escrima sticks' I say and I feel him sigh mentally
'How am I going to get them to you, and I thought Hera wiped your memory' Phoenix said
'She can damn well try, but it ain't going to happen!!!' Iota yelled over the bond causing Phoenix to chuckle mentally
'I'll find a way, I'm assuming this is for the new kid? Since we both know that those weapons were your least favorite out of everything we trained in' Phoenix said and I nodded mentally
'Yeah, its for Zain. Also, how's Arty doing?' I ask and Phoenix is quiet for a moment
'She's pissed at you' He says and I sigh
'You just asked her didn't you?' I asked and he chuckles mentally 'Tell her I'm safe and that there is going to be a battle at Camp Jupiter soon, I don't know when so if she could send her hunters that would be amazing. Right now I am being forced onto another quest to Alaska to find my good friend Thanatos and free him' I tell him as I feel a light poke from my side but I ignore it
'Alright, but she just yelled at Zeus that she was going to break his rule of not leaving Olympus and she just left, Fuck! Hestia just told me to follow her. Hestia also says hi' Phoenix says as I get a mental image of him flame traveling to the hunt who is currently eating food 'I will send a void coin to Katelyn to get those sticks for Zain, but right now, the girls are packing up. Oh hell, dude, you better be out of there by sunrise, Artemis is pushing them... Hard...' He finishes and I groan as the connection cuts out and I look around to find Reyna poking me with the blunt end of her spear
"You there Percy?" She asks as she pokes my nose and I quickly grab the spear away from her
"Yeah I'm here, sorry, I just called for reinforcements" I muttered and Reyna nodded
"Well, turn in for the night you three. We have a senate meeting in the morning to see how we much we will provide for the quest" She said and I nodded
"I'll meet you there" I say as Frank and Hazel walk away and I follow them "Hey wait up"
They both look at me and raise their eyebrows.
"What?" Frank asks
"I was wondering if you guys could show me where I sleep, since I just arrived and spent the most of the day eating and talking to Reyna" I say and they chuckle
"Sure, besides I want to say thank you for punching Octavian back there" Frank starts "He has been blackmailing Hazel for a while telling her to vote for him at the next praetor election" At that I frowned and felt Instinct disappear before returning and sending me a mental image of him slugging Octavian across the jaw and I smiled
"Oh you wont need to worry about Octavian, he just got slugged across the jaw" I say proudly and Hazel looks at me
"Did you do that splitting thing again?" She asks and I look at her
"Splitting thing?" I ask and she nods
"We saw another you shooting the wooden gate allowing the others in" Frank clarified and I cursed
"Yeah, I will explain that later right now, lets just get some sleep eh?" I say and they nod
For the next few minutes I follow Frank and Hazel to the Fifth Cohort barracks. We get in and I get settled down in a bed and I pass out.
(Next morning)
I woke up after a dreamless sleep to find a lot of people rushing around trying to put on bedsheets. I rolled my eyes, and let out a yawn before standing up and stretching.
"How did you sleep with all those weapons?" I heard Dakota ask and I shrug
"Just seems natural to be honest" I respond as I walk towards the door when I feel a hand on my shoulder
"Percy, where are you going? You need to head to the Senate meeting" Dakota said and I nodded
"That's where I'm going" I say and he shakes his head
"You need to wear a toga, it's tradition" He says and I roll my eyes
"Well, then let me be the first one to break the tradition because I am NOT going to wear a bedsheet, I'll wear my armor because we should be having some... dangerous visitors today" I say and he raises an eyebrow "You'll see" I say and he nods
I then turn around and walk out to see Frank and Hazel waiting in togas and the three of us walk towards the senate building.
"So, why are you wearing armor" Frank asks and I see a long line up ahead
"You'll see" I say again and we get into line
A few minutes later we reach a statue and a little girl who holds out a platter with a few weapons on it.
"ID please" The statue says and I look at it and I show him my marking "What's your name?" He asks
"Percy Jackson" I say and he glares at me
"Remove your weapons please and leave them with my assistant" He says and I shake my head
"Sorry buddy, but I am not leaving my gear" I say and he narrows his stone eyes
"You dare defy a god upstart? I'll strangle you" He says as he as his face contorts slightly "You feel that you upstart?" I raise my eyebrow and look around
"First off, yes, because if I leave my gear here then it will be a risk to my health and safety. Two, you don't have arms" I say and he growls
"So a smart ass eh?" He says and I sigh as I glare at him causing him to laugh
"You're glare..." He says as I cause my eyes to glow a dangerous silver before having them fade "Go on through!" He says and I nod as I walk through unchallenged and I wait on the other side as the others get waved through
When Frank and Hazel meet up with me again they look at me with surprise in their eyes.
"How did you get in with your weapons?" Frank asked as we walked along with the senators
"I just explained how if I removed my weapons it would be a health hazard for me" I say and they nod as we enter the senate building where I see a stage and a load of senators
I sat down near the front with Frank and Hazel and Dakota and Gwen sat on either side of us. After a few minutes everyone quieted down and Reyna took the stage.
"Enough, since this is an emergency meeting we will skip formalities" Reyna started and purple ghosts started yelling
"I LOVE FORMALITIES!!" One said
"Enough!" Reyna said but everyone kept yelling and I felt something nearby and I sunk lower in my seat
"Oh no..." I muttered as I sunk lower and lower as the presence got closer and closer until it was just outside the building
Soon the shouting got out of hand and Reyna was trying to be heard when the doors of the senate meeting were blown open and everyone went silent. Everyone turned toward the entrance except me as I knew who it was.
"WHERE. IS. PERCY. JACKSON!!!" The familiar voice of Artemis said and I sunk even lower in my chair
"I'm not here, I'm not here, I am not here" I muttered to myself as everyone pointed to my seat and I cloaked myself and kept repeating the phrase
I heard several footsteps come in my direction. I look up as soon as the footsteps stop to see Artemis glaring at my invisible form.
"Uncloak" She ordered and I did so as I noticed everyone bowing to her "Stand" I stood up and looked at her in the eyes before she surged forward and landed on a kiss on my lips
