over the course of your relationship with grayson, you fell in love over and over again with everything he did. the way he said your name, the way he talked about his goals and ambitions to you, the way he laughed - everything made you fall in love again and again. you thought grayson felt the same but lately he had begun to get distant and barely even hung out with you.
you decided to invite him over to talk about what's been happening. the two of you sat on the couch, grayson's left leg bouncing up and down at a quick pace and you playing with your fingers. "you wanted to talk," grayson said and you nodded, "talk."
"okay..." you began slowly. "is everything okay? like okay with us?" you asked and grayson nodded his head slowly.
"honestly i don't know how to answer that question," he said and your heart began to pound as you felt yourself get hot. "i'm honestly bored y/n, and i'm sorry if that's rude but i am. you're fantastic and all but i just don't think we're working anymore. i shouldn't be bored," he said and you nodded.
you swallowed the tears and hurt in your voice, "you're absolutely right, you should not be bored. since this is pretty awkward, i think you should go," you said and he nodded. you waited till you heard your front door close shut and then you locked it, breaking down right next to it. grayson closed his eyes as he heard you break down, regretting it instantly - but it was the truth, he was bored.
