Percy's POV:
I was standing in the hunters' cabin, much to the displeasure of the girls that didn't know it was me, while Artemis tried to explain why she had a mark on her neck.
'I warned you about that' Iota said smugly
'Shut it, we all know that you wanted to do it too' Instinct snapped back
'Yeah but look at where it got us, stuck in a cabin full of dangerous girls who want nothing but to cut us open and rip our intestines out to use for the strings of their bows' Iota growled
'Enough, what's done is done, stop arguing for the love of Chaos' I snarled at the two voices in my head
"Percy... you alright?" I heard Zoe say to me as he shook my shoulders
'Both of you shut up, until this is over' I growled mentally as I looked around and saw that the hunters were glaring at me "Yes?" I said aloud
"Artemis told us that you would explain everything" Bianca said and Thalia nodded
"And don't lie" Atlanta pointed out and I sighed
'All in favor of doing something stupid, say I' I said mentally and I felt Iota and Instinct roll their eyes but chuckle
'I' they chorused and I smirked
"I was making out with Artemis" I said simply as braced for their reaction
What I got instead was a dead silence, one that would drive anyone insane.
"You what?" I heard Heather ask and when I looked at her I saw a smile slowly stretching across her face
"I was making out with Artemis" I repeated and half of the hunt fell backwards in a dead faint leaving the older girls still standing with their mouths agape except Heather, Amber, Phoebe, Zoe, Ether, and Atlanta
"So, you are Percy eh?" Atlanta said and I nodded as she walked up to me and threw a punch into my stomach
"OW! What was that for!" I yelled as I hunched over in pain
"For leaving us, and not telling us when you got back" She said simply and I nodded as Zoe laughed
"Well, I wanted a grand entrance" I muttered as Artemis walked over to me and smiled
Just then I heard multiple groans from the passed out hunters. When they started to get up I chuckled as they looked at Artemis and sighed, apparently they didn't see me at all.
"Milady, we had the weirdest dream, it was the demigod Perseus said he was making out with you..." Thalia said and I chuckled as I turned to Artemis and kissed her right in front of the entire hunt
Suddenly I felt Artemis punch me, grab my shirt then forcefully kiss me back. When she pulled back she smiled and I sighed.
"MILADY!! WHY! WHAT? PERCY YOUR SO DEAD!!!" Thalia and Bianca yelled in anger but before they could move toward me and attack, Artemis grabbed my hand and faced them
"Girls, this is Percy, our Guardian, the same one in the stories I have told you ever since the giant war" Artemis said and everyone looked at me
"But why did you kiss him you hypocritical bi-" a newer girl by the name of Angelica yelled but as she started to insult Artemis I pulled my hand free as my face turned stone cold
I grabbed my gun and pointed it at the girl with a look of 'Continue, I dare you' in my eyes which caused her to go silent.
"Watch what you say girl, for I am Lady Artemis' guardian and any slight on her is a slight onto the hunt. And I am bound by my soul to protect the hunt and my charge. I will not hesitate to kill you if you so much as hurt my charges feelings" I say in a cold hearted voice that causes the hunter to pale and nod quickly
I holster my pistol and walk back to Artemis before facing the hunt.
"It is not my intention to break the hunt up, but if this is an issue to you then I will never speak of this, but do know that as a guardian I am forever bound to my charge, if she gets injured and I do not try to help her or try to prevent it, then I will be forced to fade, as I have sworn an oath on my very soul" I say darkly as Artemis takes my hand comfortingly
"But what about the hunt? If Artemis goes back on her vow then the hunt will be disbanded" another hunter said and I chuckled
"I'll just bully Chaos into reinstating it with new oaths" I say simply "And Phoenix will have my back on that point" I finish and the girls nod before Phoebe, Atlanta, and Zoe run up to me and tackle me in a hug
"Dog Pile on Percy!" Zoe yelled and I scrambled trying to get up but failing
"Arty! Help!" I pleaded as I felt the hunt all jump onto me
Artemis tapped her chin in thought before smirking and joining the girls in piling on top of me.
"Abuse!" I yelled "Double Team Go!" I yelled and instinct and Iota appeared and grabbed onto my hands and pulled me free before disappearing
I then scrambled for the door, opening it in a rush and dived out of the cabin.
"HE'S ALIVE!!!" I heard Phoenix yell and the entire camp cheered
I stood up and quickly backed behind Phoenix who was laughing.
"Phoenix, any update on the new guy?" I asked and he turned serious before he nodded
"No one except you, me, and Shane are allowed to see him as per request by Dionysus" Phoenix said and I nodded
I turned and walked to the infirmary where I knew the ninja looking guy was. I walked up to a door as Shane walked out and noticed me.
"Perseus, I see you survived your encounter with the hunters" She said with an amused tone of voice
"Yeah, I did, though I almost didn't make it" I reply with a chuckle "Did you get anything from the guy?"
"Other than he's mute, no, I don't understand sign language, I was just going to get a pen and paper now" Shane said and I nod again
"Alright, thank you Shane, if you could get some paper I have an idea on the pen" I say as I walk into the room to see a guy laying down on the cot
He looks up at me as I walk in and I smile slightly.
"Hey, you doing alright?" I ask and he sits up and nods
I walk up to him and sit down in a chair.
"So..." I trailed off as he looked at his watch and I saw his eyes grow confused
Shane walks in with a note pad and hands it to the guy. He holds up an empty hand and makes a scribbling motion and I take Riptide out, uncap it, then put the cap to the hilt of the sword and watch as it shrinks into a normal pen. I then hand him the pen.
"So, whats your name?" I ask and he writes for a bit before showing me the note
'Zain Orthwrite' the paper said in celestial bronze ink
"Zain huh?" I say as Shane walks to the door and leans against it playing with her yoyo
Zain nods but starts writing on the paper again, when he finishes he shows me the note.
'You're supposed to be dead, how are you alive?' The note said and I sigh
"Not here not now" I whisper to him and he nods
That's when a piece of information sparks in my head and I look at Shane.
"Hey, Shane. Mind if you give me a few minutes alone with Zain here?" I ask and she nods before walking out, once gone, I turn back to Zain
"How did you get here?" I ask and Zain's eyes show confusion "What object was used to summon you here? You're not from this world, are you?" I ask and Zain's eyes widen tremendously as he starts writing
'How do you know?' the message said and I laughed
"I know many things but one of them is that only Chaos can make portals" I say and he nods slowly "But I ask you again, how did you get here?"
'I can't say' He wrote and I rolled my eyes
"You can, you just don't want to. How about this, we fight, if I win you tell me how you got here, and your godly parent" I say and he nods as he writes something
'And if I win, you die' it said and I narrowed my eyes
"Deal"
