One Hour Later
Percy's POV:
"Now that everyone is here, I would like to congratulate everyone for their valiant effort in Protecting Olympus" Zeus started and I sighed and looked around to see the gods, goddesses, and guardians tending to their wounds
I was calmly sitting at the hearth inspecting my new pocket watch when I heard Zeus say something about the demigods. I turned my attention to him to find him rolling his eyes and sighing.
"Perseus, if you don't..." Zeus started but I stood up and walked to the center of the throne room
"Forgive my interruption milord, but my name is Percy, P-e-r-c-y" I said slowly spelling my name for effect
'He is going to kill us' Instinct said amused
'I'm surprised we survived this long' Iota admitted and I chuckled mentally as I saw Zeus' face contort in anger but he was holding it back
"Perseus, you dare interrupt me?" Zeus asked incredulously and I chuckled
"I dare, because I am tired of being called Perseus, the name is too formal" I said as I put my hands in my pockets and noticed the guardians roll their eyes
"Whatever" Zeus said "This council wants to thank you for defending Olympus" he finished and I shake my head
"It wasn't just me, the demigods of Camp half-blood and the hunters of Artemis" I explained "They deserve this praise more than I do" I said and I saw Phoenix smile at me out of the corner of my eye
"Very well Perseus, but for your effort in the war, the council has decided to give you the greatest gift, you shall be made a god, your fathers lieutenant to be exact. This is the most valuable gift and it has not been offered for thousands of years" Zeus said and my eyes grew wide
I looked around and I saw the guardian's eyes look blank, as if they knew I would take it, except for Melody who was smiling widely and Phoenix who was holding back a laugh.
"I know this is a hard desi...' Zeus started
"No" I said simply
At this everyone apart from Artemis, Phoenix, Melody, Hestia, the Hunt, and Amber faltered and stared at me in shock.
'Look at their faces!' Instinct laughed along with Iota
"What?" Zeus asked as he leaned toward me with a look that told me to choose my next words carefully
'Nah' Instinct, Iota and I said mentally at once
"I said no, I do not wish to become a god, besides, immortality is not given, it is earned. I promised the campers and hunters immortality after the war, so give them my gift, not everlasting life, but a way to be remembered forever" I explained and I saw Artemis looking at me with love filled eyes and I sent a wink her way causing her to blush
"You dare refuse our offer mortal?" Zeus raged as he stood up and summoned his master bolt
I pulled my hands out of my pocket and activated my shield and flicked the cap off of riptide. I then grabbed my pocket watch and opened it as Zeus threw his bolt. A pulse of energy flew out and everything it hit was slowed down. I dived to the side as the slow moving bolt of plasma struck my previous location and I closed the time piece.
"FATHER!" I heard Artemis scream as she loaded three arrows and caused them to glow a dangerous silver "Put. The. Bolt. Down!" She demanded and the room was silent as everyone saw my display of power
"Enough! This is a rewards ceremony not an execution!" I heard a familiar voice as a black portal opened up and a man in a black suit with galaxies for eyes walked out with Skyla who looked slightly depressed
Everyone stood up and then bowed to the man except Phoenix and myself. The man then looked to Phoenix then to me and smiled slightly.
"Lord Chaos, you honor us with your presence" Zeus said
"Rise, I have come to warn you about trying to kill young Perseus here" he said as he continued looking at me "Perseus, I apologize for everything" He said and I knew he figured me out
"All is forgiven Lord Chaos, son of Void, Father of Princess Skyla, Creator of the Universe and all that reside in it, leader of the Guardian program" I said cheekily and Chaos' eye twitched
"Thank you, if you need anything just ask. I owe you at least one favor. And I believe the gods owe you one wish" Chaos said and I saw Zeus pale before nodding
"Yes, you may ask one boon of the council and we will see it granted" Zeus said and I nodded
"Swear on the Styx" I said and Zeus' eyes narrowed and they nodded causing thunder to boom and me to smirk
"I want three wishes, they aren't big at all, and are totally doable" I continued and I saw Chaos smirk
"Fine, Name them" Zeus said through gritted teeth
"I want all demigods, whether they be minor gods or major ones, they should all be claimed. My second one is the release of the peaceful titans such as Leto" I said and he nodded warily "And for my third wish I want the guardians to be able to interact with the demigods more, for training purposes, and Chaos, I want to call in that favor" I say and Chaos nods confused "Any punishment you have given Skyla is now null and void" I say and Skyla's head snaps up with a large smile while Chaos pouts slightly
"Very well Perseus, we shall grant your wishes" Zeus grumbled and I smiled a little
I sat down at the hearth once Zeus moved on. Other rewards were given out, with Annabeth getting to be the architect of Olympus, the hunt having their ranks filled, and many other gifts. At the end, I noticed Artemis look at me and motion me to follow her. I stood up and walked over to the throne room doors as everyone else was occupied. When I got out of the throne room I waited off to the side for a few minutes before Artemis walked out.
"What did you want to talk..." I started but Artemis suddenly grabbed me and flashed us away
We appeared on a cliff over-looking the ocean with a forest behind us. Suddenly, I felt her crash her lips onto mine before pushing me to the ground with her on top. I returned the kiss with full force and smirked when she was forced to pull back.
"Thank you, Percy..." She said as she got off me and helped me up
"For what?" I asked as I held her hand
"For everything, for saving me, for freeing my mother, for coming back" She said as smiled at me warmly
"You don't need to thank me Arty, I would do anything for you and only you" I said as I gently placed a hand on her cheek and she leaned into it while closing her eyes
"So, tell me about Instinct and Iota" she said and I froze
"Uhhh..." I said smartly and Artemis opened her eyes and smiled making me sigh "Come on out guys" I murmured and a silver and sea green copy of myself appeared
"Wow, I assume this has to do with your soul being split between the heavens and the isles of the blessed" She commented and I nodded "Alright, but they better not interrupt anything" She threatened and all three of us nodded
"Understood" We chorused before instinct and Iota shimmered away and I pulled Artemis close causing her to blush
"W-What are you doing?!" She stammered out and I smiled
"Cashing in that kiss from oh so long ago" I said as I gently pressed my lips to hers and she melted into the kiss
Artemis wrapped her arms around my neck as I put my hands on her hips and we stayed there like that for a few minutes. When the need for oxygen exceeded my want to keep kissing Arty, I pulled back and noticed a presence behind us. I looked around and saw Chaos wearing a 'Pertemis' shirt and Skyla holding a video camera.
"What the Hell Chaos?" I said incredulously as I let Artemis go and faced the creator
"oh this? This is something Skyla suggested, but never mind that, Percy, I hope you know that what you did..." Chaos stated before I held my hand up
"That what I did has changed fate, yes I am well aware of that" I stated, "The fates have tried to cut my life thread but failed epically" I finished and Chaos sighed
"So if I ask for that file your not going to give it to me are you?" He asked and I smirked
"Nope" I said while popping the P and He shook his head before pulling out a ten-dollar bill hand handing it to Skyla
"I hate when your right daughter" Chaos said glumly and Skyla smiled triumphally
"Chaos, why are you here?" Artemis asked after her embarrassed silence
"I came to see if my hunch was correct, and Percy, if you so wish, I can make you the official guardian of the hunt again" Chaos said and I laughed
"Chaos, I already am the official guardian, I made the oath before I was reborn" I said as I remembered the talk with Iota before I was born "And besides, I already am immortal due to me reclaiming my memories and gear" I say and he nods but smiles all the same "Though, I want Amber to remain as the 'Guardian' as it gives me a veil to hide behind so I can make my great announcement to the council" I explained and he rolled his eyes
"Well, alright" he said as he turned to Skyla who was grinning widely "Come on Skyla, let's go home and leave these two love birds alone" Chaos finished which caused Artemis to blush a dark red
Chaos then opened a portal and walked through it with Skyla. Once they were gone I heard a small growling sound and I turned around and saw Artemis pounce on me.
"AH!" I yelled as I was forced to the ground and felt her lips crash onto mine as she started to feverishly kiss me
Once she needed air she pulled back and I looked at her.
"What are you doing?" I asked and she smiled
"Catching up on all the time I missed" She said and she kissed me again but this time I returned the action
We continued to do this for several hours, taking small breaks to talk and just enjoy each other's company but we always ended back up making out feverishly. We were currently playing a game of tonsil tennis when I heard someone clear their throat and we both froze, not daring to move.
"Percy, I am not a T-Rex, if you don't move I can still see you" I heard the amused voice of Phoenix
'Instinct, can you see him?' I asked mentally as I felt Artemis attempt to win our game noticing it was Phoenix
Instinct appeared behind us and I heard him talking to Phoenix who seemed even more amused that I had refused to talk to him directly.
"Sorry Phoenix, Percy and Artemis are... busy at the moment, anything you need?" Instinct asked
"Yeah, I need Percy back at camp, the Oracle found a new host, and there is something happening at camp" He said and I conceded in our match and turned to face Phoenix with Artemis by my side looking less than thrilled to have our time ended
"Fill us in when we get there alright" I said and Phoenix nodded as he swiped through the message and Instinct disappeared
Artemis flashed us away and we appeared at camp where the sun was rising to start breakfast. I kept holding onto Artemis' hand as I started to run towards the pavilion where I saw a swirling purple portal on the Hunter's table. I raised an eyebrow as I let go of Artemis and ran a bit faster, that's when I saw a man dressed like a ninja appear on the table, he looked around until his vision landed on Artemis and myself and he fell like a rock. Acting quickly, I pulled out the pocket watch, opened it, and used moonlit step to launch myself forward and tackled the guy off the table.
'We did him a service... he would be breakfast if he landed on the table' Instinct said and I chuckled mentally
Once we were on the ground, I stood up, and closed the time piece before putting it away in my pocket and looked at the guy.
"Normally, I would as for the guy's name but seeing as he just appeared I'll let him do the talking..." I said aloud which caused the campers to chuckle slightly
"Milady! What is that on your neck?" I heard Bianca say to Artemis and I cursed
'We are going to have to survive the hunt first' Iota commented
'Again' Instinct and I added which Iota nodded
'Yeah, again'
A/N: Who is the new guy? Will Percy survive his encounter with the hunt? How much money did Phoenix make from making an unseen bet? All will be answered... I just don't know when lol.
