Percy's POV:
I sprinted at full speed toward where I heard the roar.
'Please let it not be what I think it is...' I thought to myself as I ran to where I saw a group of campers shaking
I ran up to Luke who, along with Clarisse, was commanding the group.
"Castilian, I'm telling you, we need to just take it head on!" Clarisse yelled at Luke who shook his head
"Yeah and become food for it, we need to take out its eyes but no one is skilled enough to shoot that far" Luke countered and I cleared my throat gaining their attention
"What's the situation?" I ask and Luke just points behind me
I turn around and let out a groan of frustration.
"I hate Drakons..." I mutter under my breath as I look at its features "Looks like a Lydian drakon, one of the first to be exact" I spout out to myself forgetting that Luke and Clarisse are right behind me "Weak points, under the jaw right in the middle, three feet from its skull on its back" I mutter as I grab my mace canister and summon my spear and shield "Fall back, let me handle this"
"Percy! You'll die! Let us help!" Luke yelled as he tried to grab my shoulder but Clarisse stopped him
"Don't, I know that tone of voice, it's a tone that says that his is his fight" Clarisse said and I put my shield in front of me and held my spear at the ready as I crouched down into a ready position
I shot forward toward the drakon as it opened its mouth and launched a glob of poison at me. I leapt to the side and when my feet hit the ground again I continued running toward the monster.
"Hey you overgrown snake you missed!" I yelled as I got close to it causing it to rear it's head back and lunge at me
I smirked as I dodged the attack and thrust my spear into its left. I pulled back and just barely noticed its tail swing around and crash into me throwing me back. I tumbled on the ground until I managed to stabilize myself and ended up on my feet in a crouched position, my shield digging into the ground and my spear at the ready. I looked up at the drakon to see it slithering toward me and I growled.
Third Person POV:
Percy glared at the drakon as he suddenly tensed his whole body before launching from his position toward the monster.
The drakon got low and lunged again but Percy drove his spear into the ground and pole vaulted over the attack and landed on the drakon's head. The drakon reared it's head back launching Percy into the air directly above it.
Percy then twisted himself in the air to try and stabilize himself and as he reached his peak he swung his body around so he was facing the ground. He then started his decent on the monster with his shield brandished in front of him and his spear in position as he gained speed.
The drakon looked up and saw Percy descending. It opened it's mouth to swallow Percy whole and Percy fell strait into the drakons' mouth.
"Percy!" Luke yelled as the hunters of Artemis reached the group of demigods who were watching Percy in awe
Luke turned to the demigods with a look of anger.
"Let's show that monster who is stronger!" Luke yelled as he brandished his sword and made to charge the drakon when Zoe, who had met up with the hunters, held him back
"Stop, and look what's happening" Zoe instructed to Luke who looked at the drakon who was withering in pain "Percy knows what he is doing"
Suddenly a spear protruded from the drakon's side, which was quickly followed by a pure silver blade and a celestial bronze sword cutting through the hide of the monster. The drakon then went rigid as a silver armored figure with silver eyes clawed his way out of the monster's stomach.
The figure let out a roar of anger as they ripped themselves free from the monster causing it to burst into dust and letting the spear fall to the ground.
"Freaking Nasty, I think I saw a mutilated deer carcass in there" The figure said as they willed their weapons away and picked the spear up
"Percy?" Luke said in disbelief and the figure looked at him and smirked
"No, I'm the thing that gives everything indigestion" Percy said with a chuckle as he walked over and his eyes turned to normal
"Y-Your eyes..." Luke said and Percy nodded
"I was blessed by Artemis at one point, it helps with certain abilities but when I use those abilities my eyes flash silver" Percy said and Luke nodded numbly as Zoe shook her head and held her nose along with the rest of the hunt
"Percy, go take a shower, we can cover things for that long" Zoe said and Percy laughed
"Come on Zo-Zo, you don't mind the smell lets be honest" Percy said heartily which caused everyone to go silent except Zoe who looked at him in anger
"I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT!" She yelled and Percy smiled innocently
"You didn't tell me anything, so I don't know what you're talking about" Percy said as he took a step back since Zoe drew her hunting knives
"Run" She growled and Percy smiled widely as he turned and sprinted with Zoe on his tail
"Did..." Atlanta said and Luke nodded
"Yes, he did..." He responded
Percy's POV:
I ran down the road laughing my head off as Zoe chased me. I always enjoyed messing with Zoe in tense situations since it always lightened her mood.
"I AM GOING TO KILL YOU PERCY!" Zoe yelled and I turned around and tackled her to the ground
"Nah, you care too much" I said smiling causing Zoe to huff
"Get off of me boy" Zoe said but I saw her struggling to keep her smile at bay
I rolled off and helped her up before she wrapped me in a quick hug.
"You're an idiot" She muttered to me as she pulled back and I laughed
"I'm the Hunt's idiot though, and I believe I should tell the hunt who I really am soon" I said and Zoe smiled
"I'm sure many would like that" Zoe confirmed and I threw an arm around her shoulders and lead her down the road to the hotel we were stationed at
"Well, I need to get some rest after that shower" I said and she laughed
"Yeah, I wasn't lying when I said you stink" She commented and I rolled my eyes but a smile was playing on my lips
"Whatever" I replied as we reached the hotel and I went to take a shower
I willed my armor away as I pulled my hood down and climbed into the shower still wearing my clothes. I turned the water on and felt the water cascading down my head and I felt myself gain energy.
A few minutes later I turned the water off and climbed out. I then instantly dried myself as I found a bed and flopped onto it. I felt the fatigue of the day finally hit me and I slipped into the realm of Hypnos willingly.
Chaos' POV:
I was in my office when I felt another burst of energy. I looked around and found an image showing the battle of Manhattan happening. I sighed and watched the image wondering why it would be so important that I needed to see it. However, when I saw the drakon the demigod Perseus was fighting suddenly go rigid, my eyes widened with shock as I saw Perseus wearing silver armor with his eyes glowing silver claw his way out of the drakon's stomach and things started clicking into place.
"No way..." I said as I saw him mess with Zoe who didn't kill him but instead chased him
It was at the point that the image shifted to show two other battles, one was underwater where I saw another image of a sea green Perseus riding a megalodon into battle wielding a Aieon trident, the other was of a silver Perseus on Phoenix's back wielding the bow I gave to Percy.
I instantly got up and dashed over to a filing cabinet and opened a section at the bottom labeled 'Deceased' and started going through the files. After a few minutes of going through every file I stumbled back and fell into my chair. I then turned back to the images and saw Perseus fire a beam of pure silver energy into a giant squid. I felt a wave of guilt flood over me as I realized who it really was and what I had done.
"He somehow came back... but how is he able to split himself up like that..." I muttered as I stood up and walked over to a weapon rack and pulled a Wofrium spear off and chanted quietly
The spear disappeared and I smiled as I knew where it was going. I then made my way over to a popcorn machine and grabbed a bag and filled it with popcorn before sitting back in my chair, kicking my feet up on the desk and started watching the show.
"I am going to need to apologize to him after this all blows over, but hopefully he gets that spear. For now though" I said to myself as I glanced at the pile of paperwork I needed to do "I'm taking a break" I declared as I continued eating
Several days later:
Percy's POV:
The last few days have been, interesting to say the least, I woke up to see a Wofrium spear embedded next to my bed and when I placed my hand on it, the spear vanished and I somehow knew that my current spear had been upgraded. I had a vague idea on who sent it to me but I shrugged it off as I made my way back to the battle field. The battles were endless, one after the other, more and more monsters coming and replacing the ones we killed. We lost a few campers but the majority of the wounded were up on Olympus being treated by Calypso. I continued helping the battles as much as I could but in the end we were being pushed back until we ended up at the base of Olympus, but as we were surrounded, a large herd of Party Ponies and Chiron came running in and drove back the forces. However, even with the Party Ponies' help, we were driven back to the base of Olympus on our last stand.
I'm brought out of my thoughts as I notice a golden chariot come forward with a smug looking Kronos in it. I brandish my spear and glare at the immortal who has taken over Ethan.
"Ahhh, Perseus..." Kronos starts but I cut him off
"It's Percy, get it right" I growl as I will my armor on
"Whatever" He mutters and looks around "Demigods, now it is your last chance, surrender now and I will let you live... maybe, stand aside and let me..." he said and I cut him off by pulling my pistol off and shooting him in the forehead, the projectile bounced off but it shut him up
"Enough, you are just trying to give yourself more time, we will never surrender to the likes of you" I growled and Kronos' narrowed his eyes at me
"Ver—" He started but was cut off by a rumbling and the ground cracking as a few chariots came out along with a skeleton army "What now? Son have you come to aid me in my battles?"
"No, I have come with my guardian to kick your ass back into Tartarus" Hades said as he took off his helm and I saw Jade smirking as she wielded her sword "Attack!" He yelled and the undead army started to attack the monsters
"Pathetic, The army of the underworld cannot best me!" Kronos said as he marched forward and reached the doors of the empire state building, he walked in unchallenged and waved his hand summoning a barrier that stopped everything from entering
I slammed into the barrier and growled as I saw no one inside the barrier to stop Kronos.
"We're doomed" Jade said as she killed a hellhound and I shook my head
"Not yet we aren't" I declared as I summoned Lunars light and placed it against the barrier "I call upon the power of the hunter, give me strength, give me speed, give me power to defeat my prey" I chant and a silver light extends from my crescent blade and curls around my arm as I push through the barrier
As I move through the barrier I feel my energy dropping like a rock. Once through, I dropped to my knees in exhaustion as my energy left my body.
"How did you do that?" Jade asked
"A hunter never reveals his secrets of how he hunts, for he may become the hunted if he did" I say as I force myself to stand and then run into the empire state building
I ran to the elevator as I willed my weapons and shield away and I pressed the 600th floor button. The elevator shot up, much to my surprise, and in a minute, it opened to the crumbling ruins of Olympus.
"The magic is unstable... I have to be fast..." I muttered as I sprinted down the crumbling and cracked pavement using my guardian speed to reach the throne room
I raced past statues and gardens, jumped over a fallen statue of Hera before reaching the throne room. The doors were thrown off their hinges by Kronos who was standing in the middle looking at the thrones.
"How you got through that barrier is beyond me mortal. But it does not matter, I will destroy you, then my children and grand-children" Kronos said coldly as he turned toward me wielding his scythe in his hands
"I wouldn't be so sure of yourself Kronos, your time is almost up" I said as I summoned Riptide
"I am immortal, my time doesn't run out. Yours on the other hand, does" Kronos said with a sneer as he slammed his scythe into the ground and a crack ran across the room and hit Artemis' throne causing me to twitch
"Who said I was a mortal?" I said as I stalked forward with Riptide in my hand "Because here's a news flash for you Old man, I am immortal, I am Percy Jackson, Guardian of Artemis and the Hunt" I growled and Kronos' eyes widened before he smirked
"Yeah right, that guardian was killed long ago, by my half-siblings" Kronos said as I suddenly surged forward and attempted to land a hit on him
Kronos acted quickly by lifting his scythe out of the ground and blocking my strike. He then pushed me back then used his time dilation to slow me down. He laughed as he strolled up to me and landed a hard punch into my stomach which bounced off due to the curse.
"Curses, you have the curse as well?" He asked and I glared at him defiantly "No, matter I will show you how pointless fighting me is before we even fight" Kronos said as he waved his hand and summoned a screen that showed a battle with a large stormy figure which I figured out to be Typhon
Around the father of all monsters were a few glowing beings, one silver, one gold, one yellow and couple others but I knew the guardians were still in it as I saw multiple chariots flying around trying to help.
"They are pathetic, my offspring" Kronos said with a cold humor as I saw a blood red chariot get knocked out of the sky and onto the ground as Typhon walked forward
'Instinct, Phoenix, Iota, can you hear me?' I asked mentally and I felt all three respond
'Loud and Clear Percy' Phoenix responded
'Aye Aye Mate' Instinct said
'Awaiting your order' Iota said and I smirked
'Instinct, you and Phoenix are up' I said and I felt both of them laugh as they made their move
In the image I saw a flash of fire in the clouds as a silver arrow shot through and hit Typhon with enough force to send him staggering back. Phoenix broke through the clouds his golden armor reflecting the light his wings produced, he dove down then flew straight at Typhon. He let loose a torrent of fire as Instinct shot another arrow, causing the monster to stagger back yet again before he swung at Phoenix and Instinct, missing them but hitting someone else instead.
"Well, there goes my grand daughter" Kronos said gleefully
'Arty!' I said mentally as I saw her silver chariot crash into the ground
Artemis's POV:
I crashed into the ground and felt my leg flare in pain.
"Damnit!" I cursed as I rolled out of my chariot and looked up and saw something that made me want to cry
I saw the blood moon, the one that I created for Percy. I also saw a large foot coming down on top of me slowly and I felt the first tear leave my eyes.
"I'm sorry Percy, I'm sorry I have to leave you, I'm sorry I wasn't strong enough to be able to stop Typhon, I'm sorry for failing you when you gave me everything" I said and I felt tears rolling down my cheeks at the thought of not being able to hold my guardian again "I'm sorry" I said again and I closed my eyes waiting for the large amount of pain to hit me
"ARTY!!!" I heard a voice yell both in my head and heading towards me
I snapped my eyes open to see a large foot a few yards from me and then I saw a silver version of Percy appear next to me as he held up a silver shield. Then I saw his signature shield appear and stop the foot from ever reaching us.
"P-Percy?" I asked
"Name's Instinct, Percy's Instinct to be exact, we will explain it to you later. Right now, let's not get crushed" Instinct said and I nodded Numbly as the foot went away as Typhon was blasted back a bit by my father's master bolt
Suddenly the nearby river burst up and a whole army of mer-people and two extremely large sharks started swirling around Typhon. One of the sharks opened it's mouth and a beam of silver light shot out and hit Typhon square in the chest.
"About bloody time Iota got here!" Instinct said as Phoenix landed next to us and kneeled down "Arty, you need to get onto Phoenix's back. The battle with Kronos has started and Percy needs me" he finished and I nodded as Phoenix helped me onto his back while Instinct disappeared.
"He will be fine milady, let's just get you to safety, Iota and the others will take it from here" Phoenix said and I nodded
"He has so much explaining to do" I muttered as Phoenix took off and flew into the air
Percy's POV:
I stared in satisfaction as Typhon was being defeated when I felt Instinct return.
'Back, you ready?' He asked and I laughed as I used my guardian speed to quicken my movements up to normal speed
I charged Kronos who was unaware of my movement. I lunged at his back as he saw me at the last second and moved out of the way. He swung his scythe at my neck and I deflected it with Riptide before having to jump back as he thrusted forward.
"How are you able to move?" He asked but I didn't respond as I charged him again
We crossed blades and I pushed him back as I swung at his wrist trying to disarm him. He jumped back causing me to leap forward and try a slash at his neck.
Kronos spun out of the way, but as he turned I lashed out with my left hand and punched the small of his back, causing him to involuntarily shiver.
'There it is! The small of his back!' Instinct shouted and we merged as one causing our eyes to glow a blood red
We moved as one, slashing, and thrusting trying to hit Kronos' weak spot but after ten minutes we were disarmed and His scythe was coming down on us in a deadly arc.
'I Have an idea!' Instinct and I said at the same time and we moved forward
I grabbed the scythe head and stopped it in its tracks, I then yanked it from Kronos' shocked grasp and threw it up a bit so I could grab the handle.
"Guess what! It looks like your Time is up!" I yelled as I grabbed the handle and spun around, swinging the scythe behind Kronos and then yanking towards me causing the tip of the blade to pierce the small of his back
Kronos let out a roar of pain as he slowly died. I pulled the scythe out and swung it at his neck, cutting off his head and ending the threat. I looked at the scythe and tilted my head as the celestial bronze and steel blade shimmered and changed color to a pure silver, and a black metal that looked like the sword Shadow used. I shrugged and saw that the weapon shrunk into a silver pocket watch and I chuckled as I put it in my pocket.
'One more weapon to the collection eh?' I said to instinct who laughed when I felt Iota join us 'Welcome back'
Before he could respond however, the gods flashed into the throne room with their guardians, weapons bared.
"FATHER! SURRENDER NOW OR... where did he go?" Zeus asked and I chuckled lightly as I pointed to the decapitated body and head
"He's dead, for good" I responded as I looked them over and spotted Artemis on crutches
"Well then, I believe we should congratulate the mortals for their help in the war" Zeus said and I nodded as I kept looking at Artemis
'She will be alright, just a broken leg, nothing Apollo, Justice, or I can't fix' Phoenix said and I let out a sigh of relief
'Well, I can't wait for the reward ceremony' Instinct said and I groaned
'It better not take as long as the guardian appointment ceremony' I muttered mentally
'Agreed' Instinct and Iota said as I sat down at the hearth and waited for everyone to show up
