"(Child's name), are you okay?" Kōshi hugged the innocent little boy who came home from school, crying.
"I miss mummy."
Kōshi's eyes went teary.
"It's okay. Me too."

"guess it's true i'm not good at a one night stand."
*flashback*
"Kōshi you're so gentle." You laughed.
"Hm?"
"I mean like- imagine if you were like- Kuroo or something. Imagine the things we'd be doing."
"Yeah, imagine."
*end of flashback*
"but i still need love 'cause i'm just a man."
I miss her.
"these nights never seem to go as plan."
That night. That night he sent you off.
"i don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand?"
"(Child's name), sorry," he sighed, "It's mostly my fault that she died."
"oh won't you stay with me?"
"It's okay, daddy. I still love you. It's not your fault." (Child's name) cried into Kōshi's shoulder.
"I miss her a lot too. You know how much I love mummy right?" He smiled sadly.
"'cause you're all i need."
"You love her very very much." (Child's name) sobbed. Kōshi had to put up a strong front for his sake.
"Yeah. She was a very strong girl. Very smart and funny too." He stroked (Child's name)'s hair.
I need you here, (First name). He thought throughout the day.
"this ain't love it's clear to see."
It wasn't just love. It was so much more. I miss her. I wish (Child's name)'s could live a happier life.
He wiped his eyes as he hugged (Child's name) tighter.
"but darling, stay with me."
"Why did mummy die?" (Child's name) asked later after dinner.
"I let her stand next to me when we hiked up the mountain together. I tried to hold on. I was too weak. She fell. I'm so sorry. You were only 4." Kōshi sighed.
"Sorry I reminded you." (Child's name) hugged
"It's okay, anyways, you need to sleep. I'll read you a bedtime story. Come on, let's go." He said between tears.
"why am i so emotional?"
Kōshi sighed as he looked over to your side of the bed that was not warmed by you anymore.
"(First name), I'm so sorry I wasn't strong enough." He cried. He had a picture of you and him hugging (Child's name) together at his bedside table.
"You were so beautiful, baby." He sighed. He was not going to get you back no matter what.
"no it's not a good look, gain some self-control."
"(Child's name) and I really miss you. I'm so sorry I let you fall. I shouldn't have lost you." He sighed, clutching the photograph tighter.
"I'm sorry I'm still not over you. You were such a precious gem. I'm so sorry." He cried.
"and deep down i know it never works."
"You were my everything, you know? I shouldn't have made you come to the mountain with me. It's all my fault. I'm so sorry." He sighed.
He bit his lip and sighed.
"You were such a beautiful angel."
"but you can lay with me so it doesn't hurt."
"I lost you." He sighed as he touched your side of the bed.
"Are you coming back?"
"Please?"
"I miss you."
"(Child's name) is so grown up now... He misses you too. We both love you, I still haven't stopped reading him your favourite stories. (Favourite story), was it?"
"oh won't you stay with me?"
Kōshi ran downstairs as he heard (Child's name)'s school bus drive off.
"(Child's name), darling what's wrong?" He hugged him tightly.
"Today is mothers' day." Those four words were self-explanatory.
"'cause you're all i need."
"I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." He hugged the small boy tightly. He cried. (Child's name) had never actually seen Kōshi cry since you died.
"Daddy, don't cry." (Child's name) ran over to a table get a tissue to wipe Kōshi's tears. Kōshi hugged him tightly.
"(Child's name), don't do anything dangerous without daddy around okay? Daddy loves you a lot and I don't want to lose you." He ran his fingers through (Child's name)'s hair.
"this ain't love it's clear to see."
"I miss mummy." (Child's name) cried.
"Me too."
"but darling, stay with me."
"Let's go for a walk okay? Don't cry..." Kōshi smiled sadly.
"Okay."
"oh won't you stay with me?"
"Oi! Sugawara-kun!" Kōshi turned as well as (Child's name).
"Are those your friends?" Kōshi asked (Child's name).
"Daddy, daddy, can we leave?" (Child's name) tugged on Kōshi's shirt.
"Hm? Why?" Kōshi asked.
"Please?"
"'cause you're all i need."
"Sugawara-kun! Where's your mummy?" They laughed.
"Oh." Kōshi held (Child's name) hand behind his back tightly.
"Are you his brother? Is your mother dead?" They laughed.
"this ain't love it's clear to see."
"I'm his father." Kōshi smiled. He smiled. Why did he smile?
"Oh."
"It's okay, I'm not angry with you." He smiled gently with tears in his eyes.
"Sorry."
"but darling, stay with me."
"It's okay. Just don't say that to him okay? It affects him a lot. And yes, she is dead." Kōshi sighed. He didn't want to get angry. He loved kids.
"oh won't you stay with me?"
"Let's go, (Child's name)." Kōshi sighed. He held (Child's name)'s hand and smiled.
"Sorry, sweetie." He ruffled (Child's name)'s hair.
"'cause you're all i need."
"It's okay." The small boy with his silver hair said through tears.
"this ain't love it's clear to see."
"I love you a lot, okay? Don't do anything dangerous. I really don't want to lose you like how I lost mummy."
"oh darling, stay with me."
"Love you too."
