Percy's POV:
'How are we going to get past this? Scylla will take everyone off the ship, she is essentially the kraken, Charybdis is the whirlpool that is like a dentist's worst nightmare' Instinct said
'I say we get everyone below deck, and we hold off Scylla. It won't be just one of us, but both since we need everything to get past this.' I respond to Instinct before Luke waves his hand in my face
"Percy, dude, are you alright? This is the second time you've spaced out on us" Luke said and I look at him "The first time for over a few hours, Clarisse said to just leave you be but since you're the water expert we were wondering what idea you have to get past this." Luke explains and I smirk
"Get the life boats ready, I want all living crew members to evacuate immediately after we pass the whirlpool." I say and Luke looks at me like I'm crazy
"Scylla will just pick us off then" Luke counters and I look at him with mischievous look in my eyes "Not again, Your mad!"
"Thank goodness, If I wasn't this'd probably never work" I say cheekily
"No! Dude, try to solve the problem without killing yourself" Luke protests
"The problem is not the problem" I say still quoting my favorite Pirate "The problem is your attitude about the problem"
"Fine!" Luke says as he turns and walks a few steps but then turns back and looks at me "You better kick some ass though, and make sure you come back to tell me about it" I smile as I pull out my daggers
"I will, now get those life boats ready, and then get below deck until I have Scylla's full furry. Then get everyone off before the ship explodes" I say and Luke nods before he and the skeleton crew quickly follows my orders
'You sure we can pull this off?' Instinct asks and I sigh
'We aren't leaving Arty again, so yes, I am sure we will survive. But we must not hesitate when doing this' I respond and Instinct nods
"Percy! Were good!" I hear Clarisse yell and I nod
'Ready?' I ask and I feel instinct nod
"Let the hunter guide me" I say quietly as the ship lurches forward
As soon as we hit the very outside edge of the whirlpool I hear a faint laughter from the cliff and I notice six hydra like heads objects shoot from the cliff as the Ship was propelled forward by the whirlpool of Charybdis. As soon as one of the heads reached me she tried to clamp onto my leg but I vaulted over her and brought a dagger down on her neck. The dagger opened a small cut in the monster's thick hide and Scylla let out a howl of pain.
Another head charged me but I quickly spun away before dropping to the floor as another head sailed over me.
'How low can you go' Instinct said offhandedly as we worked together to dodge the strikes
I launched from my current position and as I was in the air I noticed a head trying to pry open the door to the ship. I quickly descended and brought my dagger down on the head opening yet another small gash that caused it to pull back. I dived forward to dodge another head as it came barreling towards me. We were about halfway across the outside ring of the Whirlpool when I heard shouting from below.
'Shit, we need to get Scylla's full attention' Instinct said and I had an idea
I sheathed my daggers as I backflipped over another head and summoned Lunar's light.
'Let's hope this works!' I thought as I chose a target and cleaved downwards with my blade
I watched as Lunar's light sliced through one of Scylla's necks until about half way, I pulled the blade out and jumped back as the head retreated. I then summoned the shield Tyson made me and charged the remaining heads who met my charge. I slid under one and slashed above me giving the monster a gash a foot long and an inch deep. I sprang up and twisted while in the air before I landed on another head and swung at me feet cutting across one of the head's left eye.
By this point we were almost out of the whirlpool and the shouting below was frantic.
'Now or never I guess' Instinct said and I nodded
"NOW! GET TO THE LIFE BOATS!" I Yelled as I leapt off the head and landing with a small slide
The door to the ship opened and everyone except Tyson made their way to the life boats. Luke and Annabeth got into one with the four duffle bags and waited until the ship was out of the whirlpool to drop down into the water. I kept fighting Scylla who, by this point, was focusing solely on me with an uncontrolled rage. I ducked one and had to jump over another like an Olympic high jumper, I had barely any openings to attack so I put away my shield so it wasn't damaged as I continued to avoid being killed.
"TYSON COME ON!" I yelled but got no reply
As soon as the last lifeboat was down and safely away from Charybdis and Scylla the ship exploded and launched me into the air.
"TYSON!!!" I yelled as I looked down at the fireball that was the Ironclad ship
I flew above the clouds before I started falling. I put Lunar's light back into its concealed form and I looked down towards the quickly approaching water. As soon as I was about to hit the water I willed the water to meet me and help slow my fall. As soon as I started to rise to the surface I sighed and flipped onto my back and started floating whichever way the ocean current took me. Instinct shimmered into existence next to me and copied my position.
"I want a beer..." Instinct said and I sighed again
"You and me both. You think Tyson survived?" I ask
"Well, if he is anything like us, then I would give him a fifty-fifty chance. He does seem stubborn" Instinct said and I nodded
"Well, we survived. Now we are just stranded waiting for Luck to pay us a visit and send our friends our way" I say and we stay there in silence as we float for an hour or two
My ears twitch when I hear the distant howling of wind and I smile.
"Oh, hello lady luck" Instinct says as he shimmers away and I just relax as I keep floating
"Over there!! I see him!" I hear Luke yell but I don't respond as I just stare at the blue sky
After a few minutes, the life raft pulls up and Luke looks over the edge and straight at me. His face concerned until my eyes focus on his, he then gains a look of relief which I don't blame him for.
"That was either madness or Brilliance" Luke says and I raise an eyebrow
"It's remarkable how often those two traits coincide" I say seriously and Luke offers me his hand
I take it and he helps me up and into the raft where I see a sleeping Annabeth with tear stains down her cheeks.
"She was crying for an hour before she finally passed out." Luke says as he hands me the wind thermos and has me direct the raft "So where are we going?"
"Well, my clothes are pretty singed so I'm heading to that nice-looking island that is close by." I say and Luke looks around but doesn't see anything
"I don't see anything." Luke admits and I chuckle
"Of course, that's because it's not visible yet. Give it a few minutes" I said and true to my word a few minutes later a nice resort island appears and Luke wakes Annabeth up
At that moment, the wind in the thermos gave out and I sighed as I put the thermos into a bag and will the water to push us into the docks where I see a multitude of ships. From submarines and US battleships to little rowboats and even a Pirate Ship. When I saw the Pirate ship I whistled in awe.
"Damn that's a nice ship" I say aloud and Luke and Annabeth look at me "What? Everyone has their own hobbies" I say innocently as I stop the raft and get out with a duffle bag in either of my hands
"Yeah whatever" Annabeth says tiredly and I shrug as She and Luke get out of the raft both with a bag and we walk down the dock to meet a beautiful woman with a clipboard
"Hello, and Welcome to CC's Spa and Resort. My name is Jessica and I will be your guide for the duration of your stay" Jessica said and I looked at Luke and we shrugged
'I don't trust them' Instinct said obviously bored
'Neither do I but hey, if we get free food then why not you know?' I think and Instinct nods
"Please follow me" Jessica says and the three of us follow her as she walks through the resort "Would you three like the full immersive experience"
"Sure, I could use some relaxation time" I said and Jessica rolls her eyes
'Why do monsters or people who want to hurt us always make it obvious? Like come on, they don't need to be walking sticks and when they greet us they don't need to be all peppy and happy like but when we say something their attitude changes instantly' Instinct complains as he shows me an image of a stick figure walking, albite really stiffly like there is a poll strapped to their backside, up to a group of demigods and acting like an over enthusiastic person, then when the first sentence is muttered the figure turns around and grumbles like they have to put up with this every day of the week.
"Hello, Earth to Percy" Annabeth says as she snaps her fingers under my nose
I shake my head and focus to see Jessica staring at me like I'm crazy.
"Why were you acting like someone who hates their job and tries to make up for it by being a happy go lucky type of person?" Jessica says with a tone of amusement in her voice
"I just find it funny how you rolled your eyes like you had to deal with my very unique... Percy-naliity." I say with a wide grin to which Annabeth groans, Luke bites back a laugh, and Jessica rolled her eyes in amusement
"Now you two" She says pointing at Luke and me "Head to that Room over there, CC will personally help you" Jessica says and she turns to Annabeth "You will continue to follow me alright?" Annabeth nods
Luke and I just walk into the correct room and sit down on the floor. The room had a bunch of expensive-looking white furniture and in a corner, there is a cage on a table. There is also a loom, the size of a big screen TV, which shimmered like it was three dimensional- a waterfall scene that was so real I could see the water moving and clouds drifting across a fabric sky. There was also a cage full of guinea pigs.
Just then, a woman walked in and looks at the two of us and frowns disapprovingly. I raise an eyebrow as I push down my pelt hood and looked at the woman.
"You must be CC." I say as I stand up and she nods
"Yes, and I am here to help you with your makeover" She says and I raise an eyebrow
"Sweet! When do we get started" Luke asked sounding like an over excited girl
"Perfect!" CC said as she snapped her fingers and a mirror appeared in front of both and showed us different outfits that would look good on us
Apparently, Luke got hoodies and new shoes whereas I just gained the Captain Jack Sparrow look and I have to admit, I did look good in it.
'Well, I know what we are going to threaten Aphrodite to get us' Instinct said and I agreed with him
Suddenly I felt myself changing and I knew this was a trap. After the transformation, I felt myself being picked up and saw that we were being carried over to the Guinea pig cage. We were dropped into the cage and I sighed as a group of other guinea pigs roamed out to see the new additions.
"Now, be good or else you will be forced to stay here like those troublemakers" CC said and I looked around and noticed a hamster wheel
CC walked out and I moved over to the wheel and started inspecting it.
'Well, I think if we can get those other guys to help us, we could maybe force our way out of here' Instinct said and I nodded
I turned to the other supposed males and tried to yell at them but only a series of squeaks came out of my mouth.
'Well, this poses some issues' I thought and instinct nodded
Suddenly I had a strange craving for lettuce, I shook my head and went to the hamster wheel and glared at Luke before motioning with my head for him to come over. Once Luke was by the supports I mimed for him to put his paws on it and move it away from the wheel itself. Luke, understanding what I wanted nodded his head and did as he was told, and suddenly the other guys helped out until they broke the supports off so the wheel could move freely. Then Luke put the support back in and the others mimicked him. That's when I started running on the wheel and kept running until I was at my full speed.
'This isn't fast enough! We need to go faster' I thought and instinct agreed and suddenly we were moving so fast that the bars that I was running on were just a blur
I let out a squeak and the others pulled the supports away and as soon as the wheel hit the ground it launched forward and hit the side of the cage. The impact was just enough to make the cage slide off the counter and onto the ground where it broke open. I jumped out of the wheel and made a beeline for one of my duffle bags.
'Didn't Odysseus use one of Hermes' multi vitamins to stop himself from turning into a pig on Circe's island?' I asked mentally
'Yeah, come on we need to find that pill bottle' Instinct said as we reached the duffle bag and we nibbled our way into it. I then squeezed around until I found what I was looking for. I nibbled at the side of the bottle for a while until I finally made a hole big enough to get a chewy gummy through.
'Got it!' I said as I made my way out of the duffle bag dragging my healthy vitamin with me
When I finally got out of the bag, I took a bite of the gummy and I felt the change instantly happen as I turned back into me.
"Freedom!" I said happily as I reached down and opened the bag to grab the bottle
Once I had the bottle in hand, I opened the cap and dumped the whole lot of vitamins on the floor for the others to eat. One by one, the rodents turned back into humans, Luke was the first, then a pirate looking guy with a black beard.
"Yar, thank you for saving me and my crew from that evil witch" The pirate said and I snapped my fingers
"You're Black Beard" I said and the Pirate nodded "Your ship is still out there, I was wondering if we could sail with your crew for a while." Blackbeard considered this before he nodded
"That would be agreeable, what is your name lad?" He said and I held out my hand
"Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon" I say and Blackbeard smiles and shakes my hand
"Edward Teach, son of Ares" Edward said and I smiled as Annabeth walked in with Jessica who froze in fear at the sight of the Pirates
"Blackbeard, you and your crew get to your ship. Luke assist them, I am going to have a few words with CC and then get Annabeth, I will meet up with you guys on the ship" I say as I charge Jessica who cowers in fear as Luke and the Pirates charge out of the room
"P-Please don't hurt me!" Jessica says as she drops her clipboard and puts her hands up to shield herself "I just told Annabeth that you and your friend were changed into Rodents. I am being honest when I say I wanted to help you. Just please, don't hurt me." Jessica pleaded and I sighed
"Just get yourself and Annabeth to the Pirate ship, if you even think about betraying us I will kill you without hesitation" I say, "Just tell me where CC is" I say and Jessica points into the far room and I nod "Okay, now get going" I say as I charge past her and Annabeth and storm over to the far room and knock on the door
"Come in" CC says and I kick the door down and walk in before glaring at CC "How... Curse Hermes' multivitamins!" Circe curses and I roll my eyes before I surge forward and land a hard slap across her face
"That's for the rodent treatment!" I growl as I slap her again "That was for making Scylla what she is. Do you know how hard it is to fight her?" I complain as I slap her for a third time "That is for my sudden craving for Lettuce!" I say and turn around and sprint out toward the docks
After a few minutes of running through the now burning island resort I reach the docks to see the ship pulling out. I race forward and leap onto the side of the Queen Ann's Revenge and climb up the rope until I reach the deck where Edward helps me up.
"Aye, you're a fast running lad. Now what do we do with the prisoner?" He asked as he motioned to Jessica who was still wearing her white dress and was tied up
"Loosen her bonds but don't release her until I say, put her in a cabin she should be comfortable but know that she isn't out of the storm yet." I say and Edward nods before a pair of pirates pick her up and move her into one of the spare cabins
"So, Percy, may I call you that?" I nod "Your pal Luke said you were on a quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece?" He asked and I nodded again "That'd be a difficult place to find, do you know our heading?" he asked
"Yes, I do, were currently heading in the right direction" I say as I run my hand over the railing of the ship "My gods this a beautiful ship. I wish I had one" I say in awe of the craftsmanship of the Queen Ann's Revenge
"Aye, there is nothing like sailing the open seas to really give you a taste of what Freedom is. I'll see what I can do about getting you a ship lad. But until then, just contact me and the Queen Ann will be there to assist you in all of your oversea needs" Edward said and I smiled
"Thank you, Edward, may I call you that?" I asked and he laughed before he nodded and lead me to the main deck
"Lead the way Percy, let's find the Golden Fleece" Edward said
"And then some Lettuce" I say and flinch before growling slightly
'I could do with some Celery' Instinct said and I sighed as I took hold of the wheel and felt one with the ship
"Let's find us a legendary fleece!" I say as the crew let out an enthusiastic shout
A/N: So yes, there is a reason why I have Blackbeard helping the questers, and Yes later on I will get Percy a Pirate ship, Now, I need a name for said ship, and I would like it to be relevant to the moon. Otherwise I'm just going to name it the Black Pearl because I can.
